Most people who look down on homeless people and addicts are just a couple of months pay and a miss mortgage payment away from becoming homeless themselves. They should realise that. ❤
I always knew that you were coming from a genuine place. People don't want too or are unable to sit with these distressing issues. Billy you have really helped me with this video. I made a choice that enabled my brother to have a home . This was against his wishes as he wanted the house sold. As he suffered with alcoholism it would mean the available cash would lead to his total destruction. It was always a challenge that proved difficult for me. This video confirms that I made the best decision although it did affect my health. By the way my Dad never told me that he loved me. I've never shared this before. Like you l think it's best to turn negative experience into positive ones where ever possible.

Respect boss, I’m also in recovery from the Narcotics. Spent years in and out of jail and I’ve been clean -10- years plus. I completely agree with you mate, keep doin what you’re doin because I for one appreciate you’re input as a human being and ex user. We are the ones who have the life experience to talk about such afflictions. 😉👊🏻
I’m also in recovery mate, in and out jail and got sick of it, I’m clean since 2020 and got my life back now have a job, flat and car and don’t miss the chasing drugs everywhere, everyday,don’t even think about drugs anymore and don’t drink, sober life now
Best thing that you can do for people that are homeless, is stop and have a conversation with them. Must be soul destroying when people constantly walk past and ignore your very existence. Keep doing what you do, giving them hope and showing them proof, that not all is lost. Good on you Bill, giving them a voice

When ya hit rock bottom, most of the people around ya turn to smoke. Also I see a lot of RU-vidrs going around winding up people living on the streets in an attempt to get a negative reaction! Thankfully there’s people like you billy who no the score. All the best

Being given the big issue from your Dad is definitely your sign , it’s like the baton being passed to you , do you carry on the dysfunction or do you break it , back then the ego was hurt and offended but now you can understand how symbolic that has become and that it came from a place of love and is your sign on the journey . Aww Bill my dad was the same! struggled with alcohol and was violent. my mam ended leaving him, he was heartbroken too. He was a tortured soul and don’t think he ever knew how much we all loved him. He passed away 7 years ago and I’m still heartbroken. His birthday is on the 28th. Sending you and family lots of love and hugs ❤

Your doing a boss job billy lad ya old man be a proud man looking at u now keep up doing what ya doing ya can’t please everyone but it is what it is there’s others that appreciate what you do. I myself have lived on the streets had no hope using class b drugs and alcohol to make days go faster. I realised after I got sent to the old HMP that I need to get help. Now after a decade and alcohol and drug free for 4 years and suffering from complex PTSD and Psychosis Iv got my own family a nice brand new built house an a better life. Most important thing in life is good health and family.

Understandable that you would see that gift of the Big Issue through cynical lenses. I'm seeing it through tears - it was all he had and yes, it was his way of saying 'I love you'. That's one very personal and powerful share. Love can get hidden under all manner of hurt, yet can be expressed in the nost profoundly simple of ways.
Billy, I will tell you now, we all have our demons, I had what I class as good parents to 5 idiotic children, I can remember my mother feeding us kids and standing in the kitchen while we ate, because she could not afford food for us all, so she went without, at one point it seemed the police were always at our house over one thing or another, I had a brother who died from the drink and it was very messy, I have also had my moments that we wont go into here, I now work with the homeless and the addicted and this has been the most rewarding part of my life, Billy thank you for sharing what you do, you are an amazing man that has come through a lot, keep doing what you do, it means a lot to a lot of us.
Billy trust me I have lived, I really have been rock bottom, and I can just tell by your passion, and as you know u will always get the divvys, and it makes me angry that you feel u need to explain yourself, your helping more than you will ever know, you're a top guy and I your passionate about what you do, at least you get off your arse. Cheers, Billy. i relate to what you are saying. My dad was similar and died a tragic death at the hands of my stepfather. It's been nipping my head my whole life, but I've not used in nearly 4 years and im trying to get off the booze but its a struggle with no real help available in Glasgow there is only one badly run drug ridden clinic and you can't get a home detox its a mess that needs fixed quickly
All Billy does is go around and highlight issues others don't. I bet we do not get to see EVERYTHING he does. Even if he 'just' went around videoing homeless he is giving them time if the day and a bit of hope. Fuck the negative people big up Billy proper man of the people. We see you bro❤
