If on overstay you get sent to the IDC, International Detention Center, not jail, I need to see more about this later, people get arrested for overstay almost everyday in Thailand,
You don't go to jail for a over stay, you go to a deportation detention center. Then your flown out and billed for the next available flight home, no money to pay you stay there. Something don't add up in this, a bit sus just saying. 🤔

Wrong. I've lived here 20 years, and if you overstay your visa, even by 1 day, and get caught, they will lock you up in the immigration detention centre.
You'll know what this kid went through Billy, one night, one week, one month, one year, it don't matter, it's probably living hell, hope he finds his peace, 💙🙏.
Met a lad from Manchester in the Bangkok embassy about 15 years ago He was sitting waiting on the embassy to sort out his overstay visa He had just done 6 months for personal weed and the Thais were charging him overstay fees 😆 The U.K. embassy never trusted the Thais to present him in person He was told to stay inside the embassy while they sorted out his overstay He also told me about getting beat up a few times for no reason Not a situation you want to be in
When going to thailand always have things planned out, and do research before going. Always have your airport tax ready when leaving, leaving tax what a piss take !

This is my worst fear about traveling to those countries as much as they look amazing. Family is your lottery win in life, material possessions mean nothing, zero . We are all born naked and go naked! Stay humble ❤. This young lad has had a massive trauma and he may need a bit of time to heal from that .

I was in prison in Bangkok 31 years ago in Bumbat Narcotics Remand prison in 1993 part of klong prem lardyao it was Hell but in IDC it was worse thai prison 30 40 years ago was no walk in the park but you meet people.that had lived colourful lives especially to he ones in their 40 50 60,s some of them had been locked up all over the world career crims one old french man i slept next to was caught at Don Maung. Airport with 8 kilos of smack thais and Malaysians caught at Malaysian border with pure heroin etc etc there were at least. 50. Nigerians were i was and i was told there was at least 500 in bangkwang serving 50 year sentences in the cell there was at least 30 people and the lights stayed on all night it was torture not being able to sleep in the dark i was dope sick for at least a week and it was terrible drugs were available also my experience might be different from others i was not there long but long enough to know better

There’s no way he’d be imprisoned for an overstay. It’s probably something to do with drugs and he didn’t have the £15k-£20k required to bribe his way out of it
But what when you have all you want but you haven't got love, your family are dead or dont want to know you? Maybe you have last trauma that money can't fix! You think money can fix everything but it cant. Money is great but I reality there are many things it can't fix. I used to think it was the be all and end all but when I began to change and love myself I realised all the things I thought I wanted to make myself happy I didn't care for any more. Its a nuanced subject but the simple statement of it not bringing happiness is right in many ways!
No .contentment bring peace .happiness is for short bursts if time witch I dare say when you buy that lambo you're happy for a few days then the Want comes .
