Honestly, we really just need the secondary to improve, I feel. If we cut down on those penalties and start getting more third down stops or turnovers courtesy of our corners, then we really don't have many, if any, weaknesses at any part of our team. Maybe with Bates, but we really haven't had to rely on his leg much this year, so the jury is out.

100 percent, containing QBs with edge rushers, Geno made allot of his throws getting outside the pocket and throwing darts .. Detroit gets initial pressure but they can’t finish, they need a edge there can set the edge on the other side

I suffer a new physical symptom while watching my team,the lions. Its stomach cramps, we are so much better than years past, lions can beat any/everbody!!!!! Never had hope before! Now im so anxious because we can win against anybody. I guess I'll have to adapt!! Lolol

A lot of this is obvious day to day points made by every sports show or page or paper. I feel that the culture with the Lions now is amazing! Talent from a to z and much of it is raw. I believe that a level of humbleness has to be pounded in right along with the hunger. Penalties and Missed tackles kills in crunch time. Tim Patrick will be a complete game changer and you can mark my words. Health is key as well.

18 for 18 is great... Flowers to Jerad... Even St. Brown went to Jerad!! Howevuh... That means that the receivers were sure-handed (enough)... There was no play (not negated by a penalty) where a Lions receiver couldn't convert the pass!!

The Lions did not play their starters in the preseason, so of course they came out rusty. The upside is that they will be healthier and fresher at the end of the season.

Has zero to do with it. Their woes were because Ben Johnson was calling weak games until Monday night. He called 27 runs and 55 passes against an injury-ridden Tampa defense. That loss is all his. The defense held them to just over 200 yards for the entire game.

This is something that the media has been parroting but it makes no sense. Teams havent played starters outside of a series or two max in preseason for decades. I dont think the lack of a couple of preseason series made them “rusty” considering they played an entire game against the Rams and people were STILL using that excuse in week 3 after multiple full games. Make it make sense.

You know how you can tell the difference between a good NFL channel and a bad one? The bad ones have yellow arrows in the thumbnail pointing at players as if the video will be a breakdown and talk about scheme but no, it's literally clickbait to glaze a particular team to get views from that fan base.

JG didn't start slow, Ben Johnson did. Johnson called three straight bad to mediocre games until Seattle. He was the main reason we lost to Tampa by running 27 times and passing 55 times against an injury-ridden defense. If Johnson uses the weapons he has, we should be a tough win for anyone in the NFL. He still isn't taking the top off with Jamo. JG has thrown two passes over 50 yards and one was a completion to Jamo and the other incomplete to Jamo. That's crazy that he's only gone that deep twice when you have other qb's who go that deep multiple times a game. When we don't force defenses to respect the deep game, it just makes it tough on JG and the receivers trying to get separation on routes within 15 yards from scrimmage. The defense has been much improved and only got rocked a bit against Seattle, but Kirby shut the door in good fashion.

This is bs. Our offense starts with Sewell, then Gibbs & Monte, then St. Brown, then Jaymo, then Laporta even though Brock Wright has been just as productive most of the year so far as impact goes, and Goff last. Not to mention I have a Hutch jersey but he got all those sacks in one game, he wasn’t blowing the doors off like that. I’m glad my team is winning, but this is a whitewash. Either way Go Lions!!!

Arnold doesn't belong in the NFL. Unless the NFL changes the rules of Pass Defense. Obviously Arnold doesn't realize that the NFL has different rules.
