This may sound crazy, but if I were the coach, I would rest Stafford twice during the season. That, plus the bye week, could combine to keep him healthy and fresh in those really important games. They've got a really good QB in Garoppolo, who is totally capable of winning some games in Stafford's absence, especially against inferior teams. Also, very important - this year, Matthew Stafford will become the 10th highest QB in career passing yards in NFL history.

Latu is a VERY risky pick. He was told by his doctors that he should retire from football due to a previous neck injury. If Latu takes a hit and is forced to retire early in his career, pissing away that first round draft pick could set the Rams back years. So when the Rams are on the clock and they have their choice of many really good players but who do not carry the career injury risk that Latu does, does it really make sense to use your first first round pick in 7 years on such a risky pick? He is a VERY good player when healthy but that neck injury isn't something that can be ignored, it needs to be thoroughly considered before making the pick.

it will take more than one 'star' player to replace AD. Rams may have a rookie from last year other than Young that can develop at edge and they can try to do something else before the season. We will see. Right Now with the improvements to the O-line, I am thinking an average of 30 points per game. How the offense can really help the defense is with run/ball control. They haven't had a good run game in a few years. They couldn't 'run' out the clock. BUT NOW ???
