Whew I know my husband is extremely happy he met me. I don’t drink coffee but I definitely drink tea and hot cocoa. We never ever had these ridiculous issues. A slice of pizza and soda made me happy. I was good with just going for a walk. He paid his way and I paid my way on dates. Social media has made people lose their entire minds.

I can also understand from a man’s perspective how expensive it is to take every woman you’re trying to get to know out to a nice dinner. Quick story I was getting my hair done by my loc person we got to talking and I recommended a restaurant. About 2 months later when I went to get my hair done again I asked her if she got a chance to try the restaurant those couple months I didn’t get my hair done, she straight up told me she wants to go but is looking for a dude to go with so he can cover the tab. I was like wow smh and the funny thing is it’s not even an expensive restaurant at all.

Why is it certain women feel they are worth so much yet single?

The conversation should end at that point. When a man extending an invitation to a woman it is either accepted or declined. I remember Sistas used to say I thought I was the ish back in my prime. Exactly for the reason she “tried” to convey. My standards were no weave, or if you had one I needed to know exactly WHY. The weave has to have zero color in, and work like it’s supposed to be your natural hair. Make up like foundation was a no no. Lip stick only natural looking colors, or an occasional red depending on how it’s worn. I preferred natural nails. If you did have the fake nails, no crazy colors or designs, and less than 1 1/2 inches. Certain slang was acceptable, but anything like “homie talk” was a no no for me. And, I never, ever paid for a first date. Don’t matter how cheap or how expensive. It was my rule, and not once did I compromise it!!! So, this woman on this clip kills me. The man’s response of 50/50 was perfect because that’s exactly how it should be for first dates. The minute she “gave a list of restaurants to try” I would have shut down the conversation, or I would have challenged her and asked, “well, how come you haven’t tried them? You have a job and a car. You could have easily gone there at any time. Why wait for a date?”. Point is, men need to start feeling shamed because the women will rant on social media about the standards you put forth! Her buying $32 dollar concealer is her choice. Depending on if she has a condition or something, her buying hair is her choice. Her buying nails is her choice. Be a woman and put the work in and do your hair in the mornings. Be a woman and do your own nails and toes. That’s $300-$400 a month saved right there.
