Wenger can accept his ego, but I think he knew that he could not keep him even if he signed him. Considering the amount of best players leaving during the trophy drought, I think Wenger made the right call.

I get all the funny Zlatan memes etc, but this guy isnt even close to one of the best of his time. Messi made him look like the clown that he is when they were together. Had great talent, but I always thought he was massively overated!

Did you actually see him when he played for Barcelona? He started brilliantly and I saw all his matches and it was evidently clear that Messi got disturbed by his early success. He simply refused to give Zlatan any passes and don't think that Messi's softspoken personality is without ego. I would go as far as saying that beside Messi, Zlatan has the most innate talent of any player in the last 20 years. I've watched him his whole career and I belong to the group that think he's actually underrated.
