This was taken from my stream on August 24th 2022! Catch me live Monday to Friday here: / northernlion When I don't know what to play, I play Sporcle. It's perfect!
Some say it happened at the battle of the White-Gold tower during the great war, but I think it happened in a shooting match when they were high on skooma
that first one was really hilarious: "A looks like she writes books about lying down on the train tracks" well, seeing as how that's Virginia Woolf, erm.... who's gonna tell him
From Wikipedia Throughout her life, Woolf was troubled by mental illness. She was institutionalised several times and attempted suicide at least twice. According to Dalsimer (2004) her illness was characterised by symptoms that today would be diagnosed as bipolar disorder, for which there was no effective intervention during her lifetime. In 1941, at age 59, Woolf died by drowning herself in the River Ouse at Lewes.
@@sergnb0 You know, I figured many people who came after me would also want to seek out the specifics mentioned in the original comment I replied to. I thought I would save everyone who cared to look at the replies the time. I dunno, is there a reason you think I maybe shouldn't have done that?
@@sergnb0 I mean that seriously too. I don't know if it's a problem to discuss suicide or mental health stuff in a comment section, or through text, or on a video not explicitly about it or whatever. I know that there are some irresponsible ways to discuss it that cause people problems, so I'm open to taking down the response if you can make the case it's bad.
Maticore does amazing AoE piercing damage, costs wood Chimera is attacks melee but every now and then it unleashes a devastating AoE fiery breath, and costs gold, but takes one less population space Source -dude just trust me- Age of Mythology
As someone who gets lost in the town they grew up in to this day as well as a former smite addict; the switch from geography to greek mythology was a straight serotonin injection
@@stevensbored Is this new? Like I kinda only watch RU-vidrs that curse and obvs RU-vid is thier main source of income?! Educate me a little please very curious
0:44 Someone did write a book about a damn ferret. And it's a mongoose, by the way, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi" is a short story in the 1894 anthology The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling about adventures of a valiant young Indian grey mongoose
55:41 It seems fair because if you’ve seen any of those leviathans, in-game or not, you’d recognize that most iconic one and thus correctly identify the game which has it.
The answer to your question about when Fallout lost it's edge is after Bethesda bought it. Bethesda fundamentally misunderstands Fallout, so the only game that tries to be a "proper" Fallout game post acquisition was New Vegas, which Bethesda farmed out to Obsidian. This is not to say that the Bethesda Fallout games are bad. They just changed what the games were about in a fundamental way.
I love when NL plays "identify these sports men" I'm not being sarcastic. I know none of the sports stuff and it's so entertaining for some reason to watch him answer stuff where my best guess on every question is "idk, a guy?"
I'm the same, I know very few athletes, so NL could just give them completely random names and I would just assume he's correct because I have no idea.
bit of an aside but I just looked up "rook" and the German wikipedia for rooks has an in-depth paragraph about how rook voices are slightly different from all the other raven-like birds. like, my mans gives phonological descriptions of their sounds in different situations and talks about their "jubilant and playful calls" that "tumble down upon you". gotta love the passion on display.
Came down to the comments to see how many people were talking about Achilles, was not disappointed. (I've had that sucker cut in half twice, don't recommend it!)
I actually knew which one La Sagrada Familia was: it was E. It's a crazy fucking church that has been under construction for 140 years and is at least several more years away from completion (as of 2022).
When the chess question came up “Man is going to kill this one!” It’s actually a question about birds “he’s screwed”. NL knows a lot of things but animals are not one of them.
I know he made a comment about how "everyone keeps trying to get him to play it", but I would actually enjoy NL doing a playthrough of Prey. I know he doesn't really do story based games anymore, but I think there's definitely some content that could be mined from it.
You can tell he didn't finish Hades because he remembered that Charon was the boatman but didn't remember that pomegranates were what bound Persephone to the underworld
24:18 I knew it was rook thanks to Pokémon Sword & Shield. The pokémon Rookidee is the first form, followed by Corvisquire and Corviknight. The last two contain the root word corvus which means crow, hence why it had to be rook. Well, and also that the other pieces were a pawn, a bishop, a king, and a knight, none of which make any sense.
"This is mario 64! Even though it's a level I've never seen before!" - literally the outdoor area of the castle that is the intro to ever single playthrough of mario 64
I like this, you learn some stuff!! You should check out an indie title called Neophyte, I think the dev sent a key and I think you would like it :) I've been playing it on Itch for months waiting on steam release and love it
