Been watching a series lately called Hip Hop Uncovered. It has OGs on there like Big U, Bimmy, Trick Trick, Haitian Jack. Proper street cats. It had a section on Kurupt, one of the first actual real life, street dudes, Rollin 60s, to get a proper record deal...and he, and a lot of other gang members, talked about how the OGs wouldn't even let him walk on the block where people were hustling...like, "nah son, you've got some potential, you finna be the one to get us out this crack game"...
