Cursed Scroll *is* any target. It just predates Planeswalkers. You had already passed Sword of the Meek when you took Thopter Foundry. It was in Pack 1.

One thing I've noticed with my Lurus decks is that even when I don't actually summon Lurrus very often, they have a high win rate. I think there's a lot to be said for almost always having plays on turns 1, 2 and 3 and using all your mana all the time.

40:40 math. Find the probability that vamp is left in hand AND archon is discarded when 3/5 cards are discarded randomly. Probability that archon is discarded = 3/5. Probability that vamp is left in hand GIVEN archon is discarded = 2/4. P(both) = (3/5) x (2/4) = 30% you lose on the spot. ***** Note: The events are not independent so you cant just you a formula like P(A) x P(B) = P(A and B) which would have given (3/5) x (2/5) = 24%

The Lurrus over Leovold when he had twister was a really interesting pick. Hindsight is always 20/20, but if you go in that direction, you get narset as another draw seven punisher, subtlety, noble, Oko, echo as a second draw seven, grief over twist? and sylvan library and end up with a pretty sweet looking sultai control deck with a draw seven package

I found it interesting how even though you weren't quite right with the probabilities you were very close both times just based on intuition. You were like "a bit less than 40% actually" and yep it's 30%. For an exact calculation I'd just count the outcomes, can be done easily during your turn because it is quick 3 ways it goes bad (vamp + city left, vamp + lutri left, vamp + 5th card left) 5 choose 3 total ways to pick 3 cards out of 5 (just google 5 choose 3 it is equal to 10) So the chance the bad thing happens is 3/10

As others have mentioned Cursed Scroll is any target. I'll just mention that this counts for any old card that says 'creature or player'. Incinerate is a classic example of one.

It’s 40% that he has vamp and assuming he has vamp it’s 75% that you hit archon, so 30% of the time he will keep vamp and get to put archon in the graveyard

Here is an easy way to think about the vamp/archon problem you talked about. - After making them discard, they have 2 cards left. There are 10 possible hands when you start with 5 and discard down to 2 (5 choose 2 is 10). -Of those 10 hands, 3 of them are vamp plus something other than archon (meaning archon went to the graveyard, which is the bad place for it). -So there was a 30% chance you would leave vamp in hand with archon in the graveyard. Sometimes you just got to count things to make sense of them :)

At 40:55, the chance that you take archon (A) and leave vampiric tutor (B) should be the chance that you take archon given you left vampiric tutor, times the chance that you left vampiric tutor: P(A,B) = P(A|B) * P(B) = (.75) * (.40) = 30% If anyone is interested, they can look up conditional probability for more details.

Sorry this might be a stupid question : is there a reliable source where to get this cube list ? I am a member of the Discord server but I couldn't find a link to the updated list. And there are a lot of lists on cube cobra with the "vintage" and "LSV" tags.

I've noticed LSV NEVER notices when sword of the meek is in his packs lol. He always notices thopter foundry but never SotM

I’d be curious about your opinion on adding prosper tomb bound to the cube. Card advantage, mana refunding, has a good stat line with death touch and has some nice synergy with Inti/ragavan/laelia

Cursed Scroll was errataed, it can hit planeswalkers now. As far as I'm aware, Firesong and Sunspeaker is the only card in the entire game that can only hit creatures and players, but not planeswalkers. Now you have some completely useless trivia to brag about, lol.

What do cube fans think of adding grand architect to a cube? It's a nonbo with thopter foundry but I feel it could still be pretty broken at times.
