She’s actually talking about her previous lover that she had to leave behind to get married to King Henry VIII. I do totally agree that Henry VIII is complete crap though lol
@@clarissaisaac4786 That’s the thing... she didn’t want to marry him. She was obligated/forced to marry the king, which is why she says “I don’t need your love” but then clarifies that she could never say that to the king. Like I said before, the first portion of the song is a letter to her lover, which describes her true feelings and why she is being forced to marry the king. She is telling him that she loves him, not the king.
@@kindredkate8940 I'm not talkin bout the king, I'm talkin bout that dude Thomas he legit tried to kidnap his nephew, who was Edward and who was king at the time, and got his head cut off for it, he also sexually abused Elizabeth (Anne's daughter) who was significantly younger at the time.
