@@rosemont2283 maybe you are deaf. Mariah's low notes are buttery and deep. It's important as high notes. That's why you suck. Your eardrums are damaged because of constant annoying scream of this girl. That's the reason you can't hear low notes 💅😂😂😂😂
the low note and melismatic run were poorly executed. her voice doesnt suit mariah song as mariah mastery in runs n riff makes her song challenging. anyway, regardless regine is a great snger as per her status as lagendary singer in Philippines. and to her defense, she's doing this song as Mariah tribute as you can see at the start of the video and regine is also Mariah fans. so dont be rude to her, Mariah would be proud if she knows tht philippines lagendary singer paid tribute to her. back to the song, i would see regine does her tagalog songs, and other type of classical ballads perfectly 😀
DAVEBAWZ trust me I agree with you 100% she really does scream and Mariah is my absolute favorite artist but facts are facts just because she isn't at all at Mariahs caliber doesn't mean that she didn't sing the song in the same key. Sometimes proving 1 point makes you look ignorant in another
@heart2heartr and what has lowering the key something to do with this? she has belted numerous F5s and one G5 in her overall tokyo performances so it's invalid. oops...xtina-ish? lol mc back in her prime has never sounded as throat as xtina..what are you? a charlatan? lmao...so what is weight and delivery? tell me...next please
even at "though i given you my heart and soul" she struggled to use her songbird style because this part is just too strong in mariah's version of course, duh
Technically is was very good, a little screamy at parts. Emotionally .... I felt nothing. Regine tends to overuse her power on the pronounciation of "AAAAAs" I reckon she'd sound ten times better if she didn't shout "AAAAAs" too much. It was very good when she did it on the song "On The Wings Of Love", because it wasn't too much. Here it was too much.
1 , how can even you say that regine is a mariah copycat and shes copying mariah carey form the start of her career?, you need to understand that regine has her own weekly variety show here in the philippines since 1997 thats running for more than 15 years and regine must sing more than five songs everyweek, imagine if regine have 89 mariah carey performances that is a little ratio compared to more than 6800 songs that she sang through the years of existence of her variety show.
In my opinion Regine can't sing as emotional as Mariah. I think Regine is only focusing on the belt not on how she will deliver the song emotionally and beautiful
Franzie Poot an artist can't connect to emotionally to a song that they don't vibe with as this prod is a tribute to mariah's specific song we ain't sure if she is really in this song itself or on that time she has experience personal problem or she is not feeling well what I am sure of she is full of emotion when she sings especially if the song is very dear to her example "What kind of fool I am"
@@yudai112 I get your point but singing is like storytelling, the listeners should feel the emotion of the song. Being a well known artist you should be an example of it.
I saw harsh comments of Lambs here like r u guys 4real? She is doing a tribute for Mariah she is not lime the other singers who sings without the crefits of the artist did you guys saw the intro? You guys should appreciate her cuz she's also a lamb, Respect be gets Respect!!! I'm also a fan of mariah but her fans made me her
EMOTIONs. like pulling head away fr mic? waving hands as if conducting, pulling shoulder muscle by arms down to the back. growling, howling, dodging notes
maQ r ulol tingnan mo paano kinanta ni regine ang kanta, parang hinihintay labg nya yung mga birit na part, parang nagsasalita ng linggwaheng hindi niya naiintindihan
@iiAmitx3 haha there u r again! see? regine fans r so annoying. they think singing higher can contribute a singer to be better? pathetic. look at the highest rated comment. they don't even have respect for MC, which their regine is paying tribute. if not for mc's covers by regine, she wouldn't even have been noticed by us
Hindi kailangn tlga ni regine ng sobrang emotion kumanta para lang ksing naluluto ng itlog daling dali sa lahat ng kanta...hahahahaa pag sa iba yan labas na litid at tubol. Hahahaaa
i bet mariah can't sing this live anymore...but regine can effortlessly because she has maintained her voice as any singer should and not like mariah who's blinded by fame. regine will continue to shine on and off stage. she will continue to sing live and mariah, well we can just listen to her cds from the past.
"Regine will continue to shine on and off stage" matagal ng di gamit boses nya bakla kasi wala ng ganap sa buhay. Si MARIAH hanggang ngayon, kanta doon kanta dito. PERA DOON pera dito.
Comparing are only done by people who only wants to bring negativity. I have both full albums of Mariah and Ate Rej but never came to my mind n mag compare sa 2. Better to just appreciate both
oh my God. is it the way of giving JUSTICE to the song? where's the justice? it is a live karaoke version. i am a Filipino and i am proud to be one. but when it comes to MC, no one can touch her. because only MARIAH CAREY can sing her OWN song.
Hey Mariah and Regine are BOTH very good. They sing in their own way and you can't just compare them based on your own opinion. It is a fact that they both have a very good singing technique, so it's not "ohh she sounds too squeaky" or "She has a raspy voice". Stop acting like you know how they are supposed to be singing the song.
when REGINE hits high notes live ITS SCREAMING. but when mariah does it, if she ever could its not screaming? I'm sure u r right. mariah is not screaming, IMPOSSIBLE! she can't even SING live
I compare mariah's belt to regine's with same note, what I've observed is mariah's belting doesn't hurt ma ear idk but maybe she use mixed voice or belts.. Regine's belting kinda use chest..
@@rosemont2283 better? Have you seen mariah's 1996 version of this song? Maybe you haven't because you are shthead over this annoying screaming girl who can only do is singing the songs higher. That that's the only way to make it better. What kind of trash mindset is that? Lol 💅
@illdymeond , yes, Mariah Carey has set the standard but there is nothing wrong with Regine's rendition. She hit all the notes required with her belting voice. No flats and no sharps. Yes, no one can sing like Mariah 'coz Mariah is Mariah and definitely, Regine is Regine. No one can argue that. No boo-boo's. The lady is just giving tribute. Well, maybe you are just exaggerating with your comment. No one is outstanding Mariah here. I also idolized Mariah but no comparisons involved. Peace. :D
Better to use nostril voice, her diction is not good when hitting higher notes, she sounds like, she don’t want to sing and want to finish the show. Mariah always sing with full of emotion.
@iiAmitx3 yeah, did u notice how she tried to 'growl' like mc did and fail and she hit that head note and failed again. yet her stans say how wonderful this is based on that 'highest version' LOL
@kelvinpyaeko I did not say ONLY those who have throaty voice can growl (better). Mariah's raspy-throaty voice helped her growl better. But the equation is not logically equivalent to "only singers with raspy and throaty voice can growl." Got it? So Mariah's voice is raspy and growly, and this makes it easier for her to growl. But this does not mean that it is the only way any singer can growl. So while other singers can growl without sounding throaty, Mariah actually growls and s still throaty.
Nakaka growl naman po si Mariah in her earlier years sa career(1990-1996) tingnan mo sa Of it's over nya na performance na growl siya while sustaining an E5 note. Her voice became very very very raspy when butterfly released kahit ako napapangitan kasi from possessing a buttery and soft voice to Raspy, tired, and strained vicals
para dun sa nagsabing wala syang emosyon pag kumakanta... para lang sa kaalaman mo... regine velasquez is well known of singing, belting, hitting high notes EFFORTLESS! kaya she is always misunderstood of singing without emotions. try to watch her other performances baka sakaling mainitindihan mo. and also dapat hindi siya kino-compare sa ibang singers... maraming magaling na singers dito sa pinas... iba iba sila ng inooffer na style. lahat sila magagaling, hindi kailangan mamintas or manira.
@heart2heartr mariah's technique back then is one of the best...and her belts sound so bright and full and warm at the same time it's ethereal. of course regine's tone deaf fans who are so used to screaming notes would not hear it lmao..you just proved it.....so explain to me what rough edges. lol at you comparing her notes to xtina screamish throaty sounds..that's how you just proved you are too wrong
@JimmyJrock Regine hit the low notes. Of course Mariah's alto is stronger. But Mariah's live perf of this song was a semitone lower than the recorded version, and even so her belts sounded dry, throaty, and raspy at some points already. Not to mention that she has inferior control over her sustained belts and even did not hit the high note at "I dont . . . wAnna cry!" Regine's belts sounded more connected, seamless, while mariah tentative nd throaty. And yea, Im talking about her Tokyo perf.
@heart2heartr do you know the era she recorded the song and the era she sang the song live are different? oops LMAO mariah's tone went from that solid stiff tone to powerful bright coloratura tone....and her voice becomes brighter..just listen to her version in music box tour and day dream tour..you would know it..no, her voice never went squeaky back then. stop lying....you are so deluded with all those sneaky lies
And stop it with "originality" argument. You do know that she has to sing every week, right? You want her to write, produce and release NEW songs every week then? Most of her original songs are in local dialect anyway, so why not go there and whine about her "lack of originality"?
Mariah was born with talent and vocals to kill, Regine obviously has neither, she sounds like any other karaoke singers trying their best to copy Mariah's style of singing.
NOPE I WON'T ADMIT! YOU ON THE OTHER HAND NEEDS TO LEAVE ME ALONE AND STOP MAKING UP STORIES AND GOOGLE MARIAH'S ACHIEVEMENTS AND RU-vid HER PERFORMANCES DURING HER HEYDAYS, WTF!!!!!
@JimmyJrock Oh, Mariah's live version is one full key lower, that and with her not hitting the highest note in the song, and sounding very un-connected, certainly less seamless, a little throaty and hoarse. and this was mariah in her prime.
@heart2heartr lmao..you don''t understand when i said 'do you have anything to say apart from 'lowered the key, squeaky, avoided the high notes'?' yeah, that's clearly is what you can say to back up your so called argument. lol anyway, no, mariah never sounded squeaky or nasally or anything you have said back in the early days. wait, this is like the sixth time that i have been enlightening your brain. oh i see, you have amnesia lol no, we are talking about her prime vocal abilities, which u lie
@@kelvinpyaeko Karaoke should i post so hyang mediocrity? So hyang murdered by charice on their duet , so hyang out of tune On her duet with koreann, i think iys a whole new world song , so hyang sung star spangled banner wherein she ruined the song esp in low notes where she can't be heard until the echoes were addedn,.need more?like let it go , my heart will go on? Make sure you have many bullets lmao
@@kelvinpyaeko what do you called to her version of let it ngo i mean let it go , my heart will go on. , a whole new wrold?that's what you call karaoke , hahaha
@kelvinpyaeko Huh? How did bringing up beyonce and whitney help you argue your point? Mariah's penchant for growling does not make her sound raspy and throaty. Mariah growls. And mariah has a raspy and throaty and grainy around the edges sound. Period. Lol. Its a very simple point yet you fail to see where the real correlation lies. No wonder your asking me what the whole point is. Its clear u have comprehension issues.
I have never heard Mariah sing this song live on key, hitting the high studio notes live effortlessly, and sustaining the belts like she pretends to do in studio. I have heard her lower the key, avoid the high notes, do away with the sustained belts, squeak in between notes, and belt with rough edges. And all these are evident in her Tokyo Dome performance DURING her PRIME of this song. The charlatan stans of course will deny. That live perf was a far cry from the studio version: clarity is key.
I laughed very hard about the title of this uploaded video? "(Highest Version)"😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 kailan pa naging mababa ang original na "I Dont Wanna Cry" ni Mariah Carey?? 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@heart2heartr you said mariah can growl better because she is throaty! i brought whitney and beyonce up because they can also grow better without having that throaty voice. so your claim of growling better because of throaty voice FAILS..oops...now tell me again who has comprehension issues..ouch
She nailed all of the melismas in this song. Even the one at 2:31. In fact, the run was very fast and hit every note. Anyone who claims she didn’t hit them correctly have questionable ear for music or questionable conscience (because they know they’re lying). Seriously, anyone, tell me which part she got wrong? And those who take this opportunity to say that melismas are not her strength, gurl, she sang Lead the Way live perfectly, something Mariah has never done live. And she’s also done the hard melisma in What a Girl Wants. And as a side note, Regine doesn’t spend much time rehearsing for these weekly live shows. It’s not like a concert that she spends time rehearsing. They’re meant to be performed off the cuff and with little or no arrangement changes from the original. It showcases the vocal virtuosity of the singers, a unique fixation to Filipinos (but it also explains why we are globally known to be amazing cover bands or cover singers). So yeah, Regine probably did a couple of passes of this song for sound check that day and nothing more than simply knowing the song by being a Mariah fan. So all things considered, this is a freaking amazing cover version. I think as usual the Mariah lamps get pissed at why this biT@h keeps covering Mariah and hitting every melisma and high note, when their own Mariah has lip synching her way to the bank, fooling her fans out of their hard earned money, pretending she sings the high notes in her concerts, and continues to do so to this day, because she can and none of her lamps will call her out for it.
Of course. There always has to be that one delusional Regine fan who's too lazy to do their research. Let me tell you this, Mr. Delusional Ass Btch: - Mariah never lipsynced in the early 90s - Mariah lipsyncs but NOT on every part/note of every song that she sings in her performances. 90-98% of her live performances in her concerts are live. - She NEEDS to lipsync cuz her voice is very fragile. She has nodules and she tours more than Regine who's only a local singer. - Singing isn't all about showing off, and Mariah proves that in almost every live performances that she had. She can perfectly balance being impressive, expressive, and soulful at the same time. - Why are you even here starting an argument instead of just listening to the performance? Based on your profile picture, you're TOO DAMN OLD to possess such level of ignorance. Trying to say youthful much?
@@xiao2653 90-98% are live? That's prob why a lot of the live performances that you see on here leave much to be desired. The only parts thst sound decent are the lipped portions. Seriously show me a live concert of hers where she doesn't sound like she's struggling or raspy. Also I am talking about her post 1998 concerts and live performances when she started to lip the high parts of all her songs like Cant take that away
Mariah's penchant for lowering the key of her own songs, rearranging her songs to rid herself of the difficult part and avoid the high notes, and squeaking in between notes and executing midbelts with rough edges already speak of her caliber as a live performer even way back then. Regine sustained and belted the high notes with fluidity, freedom, and power, with rock solid vocals.
I've never heard anyone singing this hard song other than Mariah but when i hear her rendition, her voice resembles to Prime Mariah. She nailed this song, the fact this song contains a lot of phrasing and sustaining in the upper belts
sa ilong labas ng mga boses, ... walang soul, walang groove...boses lata din kase ang boses nya... pero no doubt sya ang premier singer sa pinas kase well appreciated ang mga matitinis na boses na lumalabas sa ilong at yong pinapahabang high notes sa pilipinas... ela mae saison is far more better than her....
@heart2heartr lol..mariah in her prime had way more resonance, freedom, agility with her decent technique. you are just a charlatan, pretending to know something just so you can convince me? #FAIL mariah during her daydream era sounded incredibly lyrical and it doesn't sound like she is trying. and why must you only focus on high notes? you said it's not about high notes, but delivery and you still focus on the delivery of HIGH notes. mariah outdid you karaoke singer. NEXT
In that performance, Mariah: 1. lowered the key; 2. avoided the high notes; 3. avoided sustaining the high notes; 4. squeaked in between belted notes; 5. had rough edges in her belts; 6. had a heavier and throaty tone almost xtina-ish in weight and delivery; 6. and sounded dry and dull compared to her studio version, as always. lol. Its all in the Toko Dome performance, back some almost 2 decades ago, when she was still in her prime. And yes, Mariah can only approximate Whitney's tone and power.
juskoooo while I was reading the com sec your RU-vid account is the only account I've seen who keeps bashing to Mariah Carey. I've seen you countless times here dear. To end this, Mariah Carey sang this song in original key, in her prime this was a candy only
