There are very few real misogynists in the world (men simply do not posses the same group preference with gender at anything approaching the level women do. I have 4 sons. On baby 3, we tried the Sheffield method to have a girl…. Didn’t work. Then I had a surprise pregnancy at 38 and my husband and I thought, “maybe this time,” but alas, no… four beautiful, healthy sons with my husband of 21 years. On top of that, you find out a babies gender at around 18 to 20 weeks, that's 4.5-5 months, it's blatantly alive that far into the pregnancy. I used to call myself a feminist, because I believe women should have the right to pursue their own dreams, whether that's being a powerful CEO or a traditional "barefoot & pregnant" mother. I believe that jobs, wages, status, etc. should be merit based. I believe that women should have reproductive control over their own bodies. Mostly because I would have no idea what the “proper” way to raise her would be, and I dunno if my sensitive fee-fees could handle the brutality that is young girls’ ruthless use of emotional manipulation.
