There is nothing wrong with being a full-time dad. Sorry the job didn't work out, but you are doing the right thing, my friend, one day at a time. I lost a job, jumped on the next one that came down the pike, and hated every minute. You have some great ideas for upcoming videos. And you are right. RU-vid is all about the thumbnail and the title, not the message we put out there anymore. I always enjoy sitting back to see Mr. Midwest and listening to what you say. Hang in there brother and know you will land in a good place, good people do. Family first as you know and love seeing such a proud parent. Like here in Michigan, winter slows us down but it will pick up again.

Winters are hard dude.. I’ve been doing this RU-vid thing for 10 years and every winter affects the channel. The previous 2 were pretty good because I had so many projects lined up for the road glide, and I was all set up for winter garage videos at the old house.. I’ll get there here as well. Brother, your content is always top notch, very enjoyable. Are there other HD dealers, competitors, you could go land with, just tell your story, you’ve got experience now? Those HD dealers take employees from other stores all the time, wasn’t a fit one place, land with one of their competitors; at least that gets you back to grabbing regular paychecks, maybe even ask for more money than you got before. You said previously you may have undercut yourself in pay when they hired you. And if you don’t think that’s a long term path, at least you’re getting a decent paycheck as you think about your options down the road. Who knows, maybe you’ll enjoy the next HD dealer a better fit than the first one.

The next closest HD is nearly an hour drive and I drive a 2006 Ram so I’m afraid that’s out, especially with having to run kids around to and from school and activities the extra 2 hours a day on the road wouldn’t work for us.. I’ll figure something out. Right now I want to give this RU-vid thing a solid chance since I actually have the opportunity to try it. I know people don’t think you can go full time anymore yet RU-vidrs do it all of the time and I wouldn’t even have to make a huge amount of money at this point in my life to get going just enough to pay my bills and cover video ideas so fingers crossed, if I can get this to $2,000 a month I’m running with it. That would be a big jump in revenue but I know there are tubers out there making way more than that. Otherwise I’m gonna have to find something else soon to keep some income coming in.

Hope you find a job you enjoy! I've dealt with that for over 30 years and it definitely wears on a person. I think you have a lot of great ideas for upcoming videos! I tgink no matter what you should stay true to what you feel the channel should be. With that said, if you have the resources, it would be cool to see some of the places your state has to offer. We've been there once but hope to visit again at some point.

You have a lot of really good ideas for upcoming videos. I would add that you shouldn't underestimate the value in people just wanting to see what you're doing. Even without a specific topic, people who like your channel will check it out. Motorcycle related videos have a smaller audience in general so finding a formula for lots of views will be hit or miss, but i believe you will start seeing results that you want with simply putting out more content. Most importantly, don't stop enjoying what you put out. That alone will draw people to your channel. Good luck and Godspeed.

Brother you will bounce back love the Harley content. Maybe different tools for Harley that should be in the tool box. Things to carry while on a trip what you need. Our lives change. There will be many changes throughout your life even now. Success is different for each person. Pick out a few things you are passionate about and do those well. You’ll be fine. Things like sickness in the lives of your family is more important than making a video. You did well there. I’ve wondered about making a channel and focus on family friendly things to do related to touring on motorcycles.

I don’t believe RU-vid can be a full time gig realistically. There are too many channels and too many are backed by manufacturers and more or less produce infomercials Think out side of the box. It’s a good chance to access what to do with the next step in life.

I think they let you go because you took that paternity leave. A lot of people still don't believe a man should take any time off when their children are born. Not passing judgement, just a reality still. I think it's changing slowly, but I wouldn't expect a Harley Davidson dealership to be at the leading edge of progressive ideas.

First off you did not work for HARLEY..... You worked for a MC dealer that also sells Harley... Next Minnesota???? I certainly would not expect to be working on motorcycles 5 mounts out of the year... I guess I would expect to be laid off for 5 months... Ever think about going back to school/college for a real profession. Either way best of luck... I want you to succeed.. Think schooling and then a year around business to be working at, like Costco as an example.

I’m pretty new to the hockey scene, her boys have played for a few years and they are reallly into it.. a hockey rink in the back yard might be kinda cool.. several kids in our new neighborhood play as well. Our neighbor is one of the coaches so we’re definitely in it haha. Let’s Keep in touch.
