As a 51-year-old it reminds me a little of when Duran Duran downsized on the "Notorious" album in 1986. I like how they infuse natural-sounding instruments like guitar with synthesized instruments. The lyrics are pretty cool as well.
As a 33 yea old. I've heard of Duran Duran but can't recite one of their songs to mind. Also the album notorious makes me think of Biggie. Anyways, I think we both respect this song to a similar level.

The song had a lot of competition from Bruce Hornsby & The Range "The Way It Is" and Genesis "Land of Confusion" was in the top spot that month. Both songs have been rerecorded. I was more into the 1983 Police's 'Every Breath you Take." I guess "Land of Confusion" was not a number one song after all. Duran Duran was a big enough group that they did the theme song to the James Bond movie "A View to a Kill" in 1985. Although in my mindset a song's position on the charts does mean it was that good of a song. So, at this point we've established that Tellexx has the ability to travel through time, explaining the previously unexplained date discrepancies for IDKHOW (as seen through the wildly varying dates of creation in other music videos). Alternatively, it's also possible that Dallon and Ryan specifically have the ability to travel through time, and this video is Tellex studying them; I'm having trouble telling which---does anyone see any evidence in the video to determine which it is? Edit: On second viewing, the intro does say that this is a promotional video "for investors," so presumably the idea is that Tellex controls the time travel in this video.

a lot of idkhow's songs provide me comfort as a victim of emotional abuse... this song, especially, has a ton of lyrics that resonate with me and that (probably unintentionally, on their part) make me feel seen. love this one :)

I have synesthesia, and normally colors have a taste, and a lot of sounds I see images for. This is literally the FIRST time I've ever had *music* have a *taste* before. This song is so good it rewired my brain. It tastes like honey and shortbread cookies, despite none of the colors "tasting" like that. The beige color of the walls and stuff tastes like calamine lotion and unflavored yogurt. Bleh.
I have a criticism. There are too many amazing hooks. I’ve had to listen to it 50 times today and just when I’m like “ok I can stop now, I get why this is really catchy” some crazy line or sound shows up in the mix and I have to start it again. I would really appreciate it if I could go to sleep now. That being said the skeleton cameo is always appreciated, I would say he’s the most under appreciated member of the band.

At the disco and the hardrock drummer, that has the magnificent aesthetics in the middle of The SCP Foundation, all this retro-futuristic thing and the clearest 80-90s... I heard this song (and later New Invention) at a restaurant earlier. Anyway, that led to me telling my mom about this band, and since I've already made my dad an iDKHOW fan, the goal is to make both of my parents a fan of bamd.
I got this music video as an ad in the middle of watching an oneyplays vid and watched the whole thing while having some sick MTV-whenit-was-good nostalgia. I really dig both the song and the vid and will for sure be looking into the band's other work. I honestly hope other musicians decide to put their videos up as ads. I won't sit through a 30 second ad but I'd watch this every time.

I thought this is such a creative way to shoot a music video in the middle of this pandemic, so far I haven't seen any groups I follow doing this. They really care for their safety. Love the whole concept and sound of this band. Way to go, IDKHOW!
May not be your thing, but Twenty One Pilots also made a creative music video referencing the pandemic, and the song itself sounds different from most of their stuff, you should check it out it’s called Level Of Concern. I much prefer iDKHOW though, and absolutely adore this video.

Its because its reminiscent of a better more innocent time.... less sterile, cold, controlling, angry, hateful, divided.. we all just got along. I remember. I remember riding my bike alone a couple miles to see my friends. Mom wasn't trying to call me on a cell bc there was no cell. I remember reading books that were made of paper and using a rotary phone and I had to talk to friends in the kitchen while mom cooked bc it was the only phone in the house and the cord only went so far. I just remember having fun. And TV not being so stressful and angry. Watching the Jeffersons, Carol Burnette, Cheers, Facts of Life, What's Happening. I remember and I wish I could find a time machine and return

You got the peace, not a lots of worries about environment & stuff, and after that you got all this new technology, where everything about it was good. 80's sounds like a fun time where to exist. Although my country was in a dictatorship and that sounds no fun, but if I had a time machine I would surely have money or resources to travel to another country.

Heard this song on XRT the other day. Sat in my car til it ended to get the name of the band. Reminds me a ton of Oingo Boingo (the singing style is very Danny Elfman) and The Killers first album. Told husband to look them up. He immediately got the Back To the Future reference. It’s nice to have a new (to me at least) band to listen to.
