i miss this type of content you did. Dark i know it may be unconventional but. if you did another video like this. i’d love it. it was great. you’re scared felt realistic even if it was all fake. it wasn’t over the top and the subtle scares made it feel genuine.

This looks almost exactly like my brothers old survival world- except he doesn’t play java and he’s still alive

Just trying to clear some things up here: Weird terrain is normal when converting old worlds into new updates. Like that ocean monument for example. (Entering ungenerated chunks in newer updates makes weird terrain borders because world generation has changed with updates). For example ocean monument didn’t exist before 1.8. Nether portals were pretty random before 1.7. So I think that’s why the portals duplicate when going back to the over world. You can experience that when playing old mods as well. So I don’t think that the creator of the world made 2 portals Seeds change after some updates so if you want to find the same map then you should enter the seed at the same update the original world was created in. Conclusion: you should play the world on the same update as it was created on, otherwise it generates weirdly and makes it seem haunted.

Spent 3 years studying this video and I finally saw the first thing the entity showed up…10:15…dark goes int the cobblestone castle then leaves..he goes back in to check and there’s a shadow in the corner next to the stairs as if there’s another player standing there. Extremely hard to make out tho

The chunk error thing is actually normal but it’s hard to explain. (27:50 or so) Basically the chunks outside of where the base was (past where it actually was found) is where the original player or players never went to. Past that point is completely newly generated stuff. But it shows where the old players went and how far they left the original spawn and stuff.

Dark, i got this world on LAN with my friend. And i think i found some information about the player who died. He was either columbian either romanian, like me. I recognized that the sheep where red, yellow and blue, and also the ship flag colour. Maybe if you search this information on google, Romanian or columbian player playing Minecraft, maybe you can find the publisher or the cause of death. Like for Dark to see. EDIT: More stuff are red, yellow and blue, not only those 2, I might be late but, yeah. Another example is that the carpet in the house is red, yellow and blue. Don't really know if it means something. Gonna do some research. :)

I believe the chunk thing is how old and new chunks are separated, so you basically loaded in new chunks beyond what the previous person explored before his alleged death

9:45 it says "block broken" when you didnt break a block. i genuinely believe this now.

So many people are saying "Oh my golly gosh the subtitles say Block Broken" Y'all. Those are sheep eating grass. It makes the sound that grass or leaves make when broken, and the game classifies it as breaking a block.

The reason there is all these terrain glitches is because dark is playing a minecraft save from 2012 on the newest version. Between 2012 and 2018 here were several updates to how terrain generated. If you know minecraft, you know you will get some funky stuff to happen when doing so.

When you play your friend's old world and add intense creepy music in background and freak out over every "weird" thing you see. If I had a nickel for every time I felt Herobrine was messing with my world I'd be rich. I remember back before I realized there were "cave sounds" that stuff used to make me save and quit and not want to play anymore until I googled it up later and realized it's normal. A lot of things in this world look pretty normal to me I'll admit the lava had my scratching my head. The world overall looks like an old world that got messed up due to the ocean update and stuck that ocean monument in the middle of that pond. When Ocean monuments first came out that was pretty normal

As for the flooded house, I've done that once on accident lol, well it was a long series of accidents involving me trying to scoop up the water I spilled but accidentally dumping in a lot more water. Also my friend max has two nether portals cuz her friend built a second one randomly.

the temple was caused by a chunk error which meant the version you were on had the temple update in it which then meant that there wasnt for at least 500 blocks when you joined the game which went to lead the chunk error the sea chunk error on the other hand was a normal chunk error if you load that world in a different version then the textures or chunks have severe glitches

That Ocean Monument ended up there because of a bug. Because the world was created in an older version, left unopened for years, and opened in a new version. Ocean Monuments spawn somewhere in the world that haven't been explored by A player (means that even its a server, that part of the world must not be discovered yet, or must be discovered yet). And the lava in the water is also caused by the bug too.... (CURSE THAT GAME BUG) I also noticed that the Ghast in the Nether was firing a little bit faster... Like/Reply if you agree... Also. The information about the Ocean Monument that I just said was actually from a book that was made by Mojang themselves...

12:52 u can see that there was a bridge at the top of the screen. There are lines in world generation because you are playing on a newer version. The different portal generated because there is a thing when sometimes you through one you can come out somewhere else, he didn’t make that other nether portal. There are a lot of geological differences in the map because you are playing on an older version. If you want the actual geological stuff you will need to play on the version that he was playing on.

at 27:19 i can notice two things: 1: the weird square thing is to do with the old generation mixing with the newer(ish) generation and 2: in the subtitles it says "minecart rolls". I think as a hunch is that if the person dying thing is accurate, his/her consciousness might have gone into the game itself and they are still playing on that world but inside the game for the rest of minecraft's existence

2:40 block broken?

Dark, ive watched this many times and I think I just figured out the reason why the sea temple was there. In 2012, the world looked different because the seed changed its terrain later on. That meant it tried to find 'the world of best fit' which explains why the sea temple is there and the player that was on the world originally only explored a certain amount of chunks so that explains why there is a straight cut. Edit: I never managed to figure things out until I went more in depth on the bedrock edition to try to find a specific thing.

Ok, it said last opened, 9/25/12 which is September 25 2012, and also at 1:32 am. Which means it probably it wasn't a kid or teeanger because Sept 25 is a Tuesday in the school year. I was able to download it and see the three people that were on this world. Names: dinocraft1, rainbowdash463, and DarkMoonRedRocket. Dinocraft1 and rainbowdash463 both posted stuff online since 2012, meaning there still alive, but I couldn't find anything for DarkMoonRedRock, (perhaps he's the one that died?) Also it's very weird that one of the two would stop playing while on a ladder and upload it. I agree with some of the other comments claiming one of them was Columbian or Romanian. But, since I'm on my phone, I wasn't able to actually play on the world. So yeah, that's my thoughts edit: wow, how cringe i am, i was dumb when i made this comment. You can ignore this comment, it's mostly outdated and speculation

27:54 the reason it's like that might be because the worlds were smaller. They had invisible barriers that cut the world off completely with a few blocks of water between to make it look infinite. So when you loaded it in a bigger world, it confused it as an odd chunk and didn't change the old world to fit the new one but added some mountains and since it cut it off at that point, the mountain was cut in half And the reason the underwater temple was in a perfect square is because that's how much space it needs to generate the structure, and since there were no bodies of water that fit that criteria, it simply made its own. Not sure if it is the reason, but i'm just putting some logic to it..

I noticed some strange things happen in this video. At 9:51 his Minecraft sound detection thing shows “block broken” while he is just standing, looking at the ravine. I wonder, who was breaking blocks? Also, the two portals close to each other in the nether shouldn’t connect to the same overworld portal. That’s not how nether portals work.

When you loaded the seed up yourself the reason why you spawned on a survival island was due to that being the spawn area, the bases in the downloadable version of the seed were at different coordinates. The bases weren't at spawn.

just wanted to say, i really miss videos like these. No over the top cartoon characters, no big red arrows and circles, no loud and incessant noises and shouting.(not that thats bad, its just not for me) Just simple, normal minecraft with subtle tense horror. Im sad to see what all the "minecraft horror" videos being made now have become, at least the ones that get views and attention. But i dont blame the youtubers that make these videos because they're just keeping up with the youtube algorithm. If anyone who sees this comment knows any good, "old-school" style minecraft horror channels or videos, pls recommend.
