He’s supremely talented and engaging, but Mom gets the Tony. She played the role to perfection - supportive and empathetic to his plight, but still counsels from the big perspective. Like, “I’m just going to keep driving around until you’re finished pouring out your heart and getting it all out of your system. Then we’ll go home so I can make dinner for your sisters who refuse to come out of their rooms and talk to me because I can’t possibly understand what they’re going through.”

I love how his mother is trying to act casual and pretend he is not singing over dramatically.

I love how the mother keeps a straight face.

I love how his mom is completely nonchalant. No smile, not even a grimace, like she's used to this daily fabulousness.

How ever did Mom manage to keep a straight face???

If nothing else, Covid-19 has certainly inspired and spurred creativity.

Bravo to this mother!!! I give this mother all the accolades for raising a talented son and having the perfect expression all the way through. She put this video over the top. I watched her as I listened to him. Mom gets the Oscar... Son gets the Grammy.

I cant believe this was 3 years ago and I remember watching in the thick of covid. Wondering if we were ever going to get over it....this was my entertainment for months.

He is Phenomenal! Broadway talent at its best! A talent agent better knock on his door as soon as possible! He's got a great voice, He is extremely handsome and charming, and his voice is extraordinary!

Saw this over a year ago and came back to watch it yet another time. He has this beautiful voice that should be on stage but his mom took the cake and that is without so much of a single pip through out the video. She rocks.

Mom’s expressionless reaction reminds me of those movie musicals, when someone suddenly breaks into song and everyone around them just watches like it’s some normal thing for someone to randomly start singing. I might have been able to convince my mom to let me stay home from school if I sang as well as you do. “🎼🎼Mom, I woke this morning with a yearning. I do not see the need today for learning.🎼🎼”

I watch this over and over I love it. At the same time it reminds me when I was a young man and I was with my precious mother so much. I miss that so much. She passed away On Dec, 1st, 2013.. Sigh...

I know you have already been in school plays, choirs, and all the rest. Your teachers and every one else around you could not have missed that voice. Good for you.!!! Go on to the big time theatre and combine what you have to say with your theatre work. Keep bringing your talent to You Tube as well, so we can hear what the new generation has to say. It is your generation that is being screwed the most, big time. Use your creativity to join together with others from the millennial generation and show the powers that be that they will not steal your future. Good for you!!!! And kudos to your Mom. I work with children whose safety net that good families provide gets shredded due to their parents having mental illness and some parents self-medicating for mental illness. When a child loses their safety net that a strong family provides they fall through, and it's sad in a way I can't even explain. So, thank heaven and your lucky stars you have a strong family that supports you. And, remember to he who much is given, much is expected. But, you can still be chill about it. You Go Guy!!!!
