I noticed when drawing expressions I unconsciously act out what I'm drawing, so I pretty much always look like an idiot when sketching. XD

When drawing happy expressions try and make sure you add the crinkling of the corner of the eye in order to represent the cheeks stretching up. Also, try softening the eyebrows so that they don't draw as much attention, so the audience can be focused on the smile itself.

Just came from new one. It's interesting to see how much your art has evolved. I noticed there was more involved with eyebrows in the latest version. I liked how you were trying to focus more on the facial expressions rather than the body language. They were both great in different ways.

This is super cool!!! Yesterday I realized that so many of my pieces involve people who are just...there. They might be doing something, but there isn't much of an emotion or dynamic expression going on. Thanks for sharing this! Hopefully, I can tackle it after inktober and further push myself to grow.

A thing I do for happy expressions is pushing the cheeks up so that they touch the iris of the eye? Kinda like in the "pleased" one you drew! I think it helps to shiw that the smile is reaching the eyes too, not just the mouth :P They're all really amazing tho, you made me want to try this for myself!

Fear looks scared of Bereft and the one next to it. Serious looks annoyed with Silly. Incredulous looks just about done with Blank. Rage looks frustrated with Sarcastic; Drunk is just watching them. Disgusted looks disgusted with Ill. Irritated looks irritated with Shocked, who looks shocked that Irritated is looking at her like that. ANdddd I can totally see Despondent, Fierce, and Confident being best friends or sisters or something haha.

I think the reason the happy expression turned out a bit weird is bc there was a little more detail into the teeth compared to the rest of it but overall i think this challengs was really cute and fun to watch. I might try this sometime soon haha.
