*EDGE of the OUTBACK* OHHHH .... I bet your heart skipped a beat when it went down, looks like no worse for wear, couple of battle scars. Thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along. GOD Bless.
All custom shooting carry’s a big price these days, it’s a very nice example, now with some battle scars that will only dent the price not the performance .
glad the air gun is ok Nathan, personally i really enjoy the air stuff that is until you're turning mice an rabbits into vaper 🤣🤣.... you cracked me up when said "put a slug into whatever is making that noise next door"🤣🤣🤣🤣 coffee went everywhere🤣🤣🤣
Lol I'd have been cryting tears of blood when it went over! You definitely got away pretty lightly considering how it could have gone. Bloody good luck mate. Clean her up and get back into them!
Mien Gott Nathan !! You are a very very lucky Chap that you didn’t do more damage than you did .I bet you were pulsating a two second intervals after that mishap .Once again good stuff and keep up the good work.
Whoa, Six Grand for that firearm. Never realised just how expensive they can get. You must have nearly had heart failure when that happened. No doubt a few choice words were uttered. I'm just glad for your sake the damage wasn't too severe.
Remember buying an air rifle from the army disposables when I was a kid. 45 years ago , Before little johnny got amorous with all the guns in Ozze. Got a little bit of change out of $6000. Good to hear that peice of art didn't suffer to bad. Great channel. 🤔😂😎🇦🇺👌
As long as nothing broke you're golden! At the end of the day they're tools, and I always say "tools not jewels". Definitely understand your mate's sentiment though - the first night I had my brand new dual tube night vision I pressed the wrong button on my helmet mount and they fell off onto the ground which elicited a long "faaaaack" from me as well 🤣
" School of Hard Knocks! " yeah, but not on my rifle Mate! I was thinking that the air around you then would still be blue come morning,... it would if it happened to me, but then, it wouldn't have helped much, would it? Hahaha!
Now you know how I feel when I drop my 12k KTM 300, the helmet is the swearing suppressor in these circumstances! Glad you got off virtually unscathed👍
Can hear Rob pulling the piss saying "only show ponies have clean tools...... tradies tools needs a few scuffs n marks to show it's being used correctly" hahaha 😂😂😍
I would be sick if that happened to my Impact, and it doesn't make me feel all cheery to know it happened to yours. Glad it was still spot on and no more damage than that happened, at least that you have found so far. Let's hope that's all there was anyway. Like I said on here before, the TRS rail should be factory standard. It is the single best accessory anyone can put on their Impact. I love how mine looks with it too. I have the 700 mm barrel on my 30. It not only stabilized my POI, it shrank my groups even smaller than I was getting before adding it, and I did nothing to the gun when adding it other than adding it. No tuning or adjusting anything.
Words fail me (in here anyway). The thought of a bit of that gravel from the mag chambering with a slug makes me want to spew :/ There are heaps of cocking handles available to replace your bent one so I would say that's your new "lucky rifle" and you are a lucky, lucky Bastard :) I bet you still feel sick :P
Mate that was close ! I'm sure with your MacGyver skills you could make some sort of leg locking device for the tripod. To be honest if that was my setup and it fell over I'm pretty sure I would have had my years supply of F and C bombs going. Cheers captain KFC. from Penrith as usual 🇭🇲👍🦌🐰🐈🦊🐗👍🇭🇲
Mine fell off my shooting table last weekend, I got up went inside the house and when I came out it was on the ground, my heart stopped, don't know how it happened but luckily no damage at all, it landed on the saber tactical butt pad in the grass so it was somewhat of a soft landing, but I was in shock to see my 5300.00 rifle on the ground, long story short, still shoots great and no damage, im gonna be more careful now being I got lucky this time, thanks for sharing, and glad i see some results of someone else dropping there FX Impact M3, sorry yours got scuffed up, but at least no major damage. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
@EDGEoftheOUTBACK me too, it's like your in shock when it's on the ground, it's like a car wreck, these guns are not cheap and mine is in new pristine condition and I plan on keeping it that way 👍👍👍👍
Glad it's fine. I think I would have cried... interesting using the clamp on the barrel shroud. Typically we want everything free floated. I do know from owning a fx wildcat and fx bobcat mk ll the barrels are very "flexible" haven't every shot an impact. Would love to but my money and love is in precision 22lrs at the time.
I know how you feel bro. I have a M3 and I wacked it awhile back. 😢 I think I shed a tear also. People just don't understand. I took my frustration out on some coyotes that same night!
That's always been my worry when moving around at night with my Dreamline mounted on the tripod, usually on a concreted farm yard ratting, so you came out of that quite lightly thankfully! I also have the Pard, great bit of kit, but the LRF function is not quite hitting it's mark with 21gr slugs (pun intended) even though I have triple checked all the ballistic data, looks like I'll have to play around with the BC input a bit to correct it! Love those long range bunnies, sadly they are in short supply in many areas of the UK now due to a rather savage new disease, keep up the good work mate, your channel is one of the best on here! ;)
I took a tumble last week and my beautiful CZ 17HMR rattled along a concrete yard, one of my boots came off in the mud after climbing a gate, the laminated stock wasn’t damaged, the zero was gone the bipod mech took the brunt of it, but the feeling of seeing this in slow motion was sickening, I know how you must have felt Nathan 😢 Is it difficult in Oz to get air tanks filled? It’s a total nightmare here in Northern Ireland, plenty of people selling World class Airguns but no air supply support!
To the guy in Ireland, get yourself a compressor off eBay. Mine is car battery or mains operated and has filled my rifle hundreds of times for an initial investment of about $400!
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK Yes I am fine. Sorry it was a spontaneous reaction because the world problems due to the Ukraine problems and the recent disaster in Turkey and Syria concern me more.
FX is a great air rifle when I had a Maverick thing I was worried about dropping it. They seem flimsy worried about knocking it in tight places on a shoot, The WEIHRAUCH BPK, feel more confident. They are just built like a tank, lol
I might stick to my Diana Model 36 springer just incase I drop it. 😁 Annnnnddd I'll stick with my APSC camera too based on that autofocus hunting...... 🤔😂
Ha, I have exact same air rifle, 700mm tho and dropped it as well. Was shooting of the roof of the car, took my shot and then set the gun up to refill the mag, next thing I hear “BANG”. Bipod leg slid of edge of the roof and crashed into the car door, Lucky enough I just managed to catch the gun just before it became an odd shaped metal bouncy ball😂, other than a few scuffs on 1st regulator gauge, a twisted scope rail and a stiff scope parallax she was a’right. Have not had a heart palpitation come close to feeling like that one did.
I also thought that while you were bouncing along on your four wheeler, that would shake the shit out of your scope, or am I wrong. You seem to be hitting everything so it can’t be as bad as I figure it. so take care happy hunting. Stay safe God bless. 🇨🇦✌️
It’s a question I’ve been meaning to ask how you actually move into range when out stumbling around in the dark after I spend the other night tripping arse over head nearly not wanting yo turn head torch on to spook rabbits . 👍 Really do need to get the tripod
Your lucky in a way. I dropped my M3 (brand new only two weeks old at the time) onto my shed's concrete floor punched the barrel out the back of the block and stuffed a $1000 scope. Still waiting on all the parts. Been out of action for over nine months. Parts destroyed powerbock, brass barrel inlet, SS Barrel attachment, magazine, scope and not sure about the barrel yet. Having the serial number on the block I also have to got thought all the paper work & fee's of buying a new gun than canceling the old block pain in the ass. My bipod had turned sideways I did not notice it and put the gun on my bench for a recharge and it just fell over onto the floor. I was so pissed I just put the gun in the case for a few months not wanting a thing to do with it. Should have the last part in 4 weeks time I hope.
The worst part was I just got the tune perfect even index"ed the barrel. It was finally shooting perfect. Now I have to do it all again. Some people like the tinkering I am not one of them that's why I wanted the maverick but could not get one so I took the M3 instead of waiting. I have ended up waiting much longer in the end.
Rifles like the impact are way to sensitive with all moving parts and tralala on it, but they shoot very well. Thats exact the reason why i use quality springers like HW's or .22lr and .17hmr. rimfire rifles. Hope it's easy to fix with low costs mate! Cheers!
I absolutely despise my rifle falling over, my dogs have knocked some over I have not secured it properly which really hacks me off nothing worse than it being your own fault, I have to flush the scope every time as the scopes are about a foot out and wont adjust but so far that has always worked so far, I ounce bought a Simons scope of eBay it is discontinued quite rare and expensive to buy second hand I got it for 100 bucks and he had lied saying it was perfect you couldn't hit a wall with it or adjust it so I flushed it and its perfect! One last thing can I come over and go hunting with you two, please?
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK I live in regional Victoria so I don’t have access to a dive shop to refill a bottle. There’s so many air compressors out there and don’t know where to start. I just ordered my FX M3 in .25 and the same PARD scope you’re running. Can’t wait to get it and dial it all in.
Dropping your tool is par for the course; unions down tools all the time. Now had you dropped this thing, and had the thing fired, and had it found a live target, that would have been a story worth telling. Had you practiced your reflexes, you could have caught the thing. **Practicing one's reflexes is a thing.** Just like target practice.
You gotta hate those ahh fuck moments in life I have more than enough of them myself only thing we can do is shake it off and hope it doesn't shake our confidence as well😉
I must say I am very disappointed with this video,... I just caught the Titled "I Dropped My $6,000 FX" I instantly came here on the assumption I can learn some new swear words,...nope nothing new ,..LOL,.. PS keep these great videos coming.
Just wondering what scope mounts you are running on the impact? Just put a pard on mine mounts that came with the scope are too high run out of elevation on the scope adjustment. Looking at a set of FX no limits mounts, just wondering how you got around the issue..
