I never even realized the channel was at 8k subscribers, it feels like just yesterday the channel was fresh starting out with very little subs. Kudos for putting in the miles so we could peep these clubs! I think these would be great for my nephew (he is 26). He is just really getting back into the game. They remind me of the Callaway mavrik irons with the thicker back. I am building a Mavrik set and love those irons so far. I'm hitting some solid shots with the Mavrik 4 iron
I’m so jealous that you live in Florida. Here in California u have to wear masks inside and also they still don’t have the new callaway Edge. I have the older green version of the Callaway edge and they are amazing, even for a 5 handicap!
You always build your golf sets even just starting out. You can still get a deal on other sets. And Callaway Edge, just not that good as you can find better sets for starting out. I give them 6 out of 10. You can get Ping few years older and even the Taylormade M4's which is better set of irons then the Edge's. Always try them out first and see how you like them.

Saw these over the weekend here in central Texas while I was there picking up the wedges. I've got an old set of Ping Eye2 that I am using, maybe if I don't win I'll grab these to refresh my equipment. LOL!
You should carry them in the box when you play since it didn't come with a bag. Put some balls and tees and a rangefinder in the box, strap it to your cart and roll with it. Probably get some funny looks but it would be funny. Great video. I love that you took golf clubs to Costco to buy golf clubs. I think I accidentally got fit for some jpx hotmetal pros tonight.

If you wait for the flash sales-- you can get the Tommy Armour 845s from Dick's Sporting Goods for a couple of hundred bucks more (I got a driver last year on flash sale for $135; the 5-UW irons go on flash sale for $400 these days (they won a silver medal from Golf Digest for game improvement; I could swear they were cheaper last year). Most of us have an old SW and putter lying around. (I have a bag of Tommy Amour's on the east coast when I visit my mom-- the 845 driver, atomic 5 wood, atomic 3 hybrid, TA1 irons, an SM6 SW and an old putter).
@@LetsPlayThru Tommy Armour is the Dick's house brand now-- TA has gone through a couple of different owners The 845 driver is really low-spin (and heel weighted)-- it is underrated.. They are very good "off the rack" clubs-- if you need longer shafts, or stepping, etc. better to go with Direct to Consumer like Sub70, Haywood, Takomo, etc..

As you play locally and day-to-day, how do you judge the distance to the flag at tee-off and even when taking your second shot? Do you use one of those electronic laser gadgets, or a specific app on your iphone? Or you just judge it yourself by eye?
I was just in the Ft Myers Costco before they opened today (I'm one of their vendors), and they appear to be sold out now; the Edge sets aren't with the other golf stuff at any rate.

I played the Diablo Edge fairway woods and driver years ago and still have that driver in my collection! 2 years ago I bought the 3 and 5 woods on Ebay!! I'm surprised you didn't buy some Kirkland Signature golf balls!! 🐊🏌️♂️🚩🇺🇸🦅
I bought a set a year and a half ago. Yours looks like they are trimmed in gold. Mine are lime green. I holed 3 shots from 40+ yards out last summer and it had been years since I last holed a shot from that distance. I didn't like the driver and stayed with my trusty old Callaway Diablo which has been so good that I can't find a better driver after trying 5 or 6 new ones. If you can find a set, buy it!
@@LetsPlayThru I'm 67 years old and with these clubs I'm planning the best golf of my life. Averaging 41 per 9 holes which means I'm hitting below 40 often. I especially love the wedges. Love all the clubs except the driver. Try them - hopefully you'll like them as much as I do.
Needs relish and sauerkraut on that hotdog. As for the clubs I've heard they are among the better set of starter clubs. Very basic compared to, say, the Mavriks that I hit now but much better than most beginner sets.
Those are two things I wouldn't personally put on my dog, but then again it's been a bit, maybe I should give it another try. Oh I love those Mavriks for sure. Do you have the driver too? That was my fave driver of 2019.
@@LetsPlayThru Driver, 3W and 3H. I upgraded from an old TaylorMade TI320 and 200 series woods last year. I figured that since the kid was grown and out of the house I had time to start maybe playing more than three times a year and I went out and bought new clubs. Irons are Hogan PTX Pros.

The second Costco I visited in this video was the New Tampa Costco actually. Some great golf courses up that way as well, Hunters Green, Tampa Palms, etc

Interesting I got callaway edge set from Costco few months ago and then they were green and not golden. They must have recently changed the color on them. Don’t know if I like the green or the golden color better tho🏌️♂️
Yeah I noticed all the other RU-vid videos about them were green. I’m guessing this is a slightly updated version. But maybe it’s just the exact same thing with a different color. If I can get my hands on the green set too, I’ll go head to head with them
