@@Worldopain It doesn't snow at Queensland Raceway. June 1st 2023 had a temperature range of 3-26 degrees Celsius but given all the concrete and bitumen around the skid pan a lot of heat gets reflected back up. A cooler month would be a lot more comfortable
The first time I saw this comment, I hadn't yet watched the video. So I thought you're making a joke about a video which was shot during summer (in japan) ;D
"43 degrees [celsius]? It's not even that hot today." Bloody hell, if I was there I would probably pass out too!! Maybe I'll stay in chilly old England where I belong... xD
Really hoping this 1JZ was the inaugural event... but maybe in a cooler month next time.... Also I really enjoyed the Janken at the end; was stoked that I managed to win one of the stickers. Huge props to every who organized it, was fantastic!
It was good to see you out at Queensland Raceway again, it’s probably been about 18 years since I met you there, and what a great event that was! But damn it was hot 🥵 haha!
Thankyou so much alexi for uploading the photo of us 2 on this video! You're an absolute legend & I cant wait to come to Japan this year! Hopefully get to see you again 🤙
Actually so mad I didn't come out to this. Was contemplating on if to go or not but I had no idea you would be there. I recommend going out there to drift matsuri which happens in March and October. Always a great turnout
@@boigercat thats a bummer, I saw it popup like once on facebook but didn't think much of it. Thought to myself "oh that'd be alright I reckon" then forgot about it
Honestly, what a perfect combination - cool Japanese cars and tuner culture, meets Australian hype and energy which is UNMATCHED. Love EVERYTHING about this ^_^ Especially when you mentioned at 1:31 about how cool it is seeing big Toyota sedans drifting because they aren't really supposed to be used for that kind of thing? Reminded me of why I fell in love with touring car racing as a kid - same vibe, just ordinary everyday sedans that were never built to be fast race cars, being turned into exactly that and doing battle on track! There will always be something cool about common people - and common cars! - doing uncommon things. :D And I LOVE the full-circle moment of Saxon owning your first drift car too!! Must be so cool knowing the car that started it all for you is still tearing it up :)
I own a Chaser in Japan. 1J meetings are also held in Japan, and their 1J meetings are also great meetings! It would be great if we could interact with people who share the same love for cars.
Ipswich a different kind of heat, Alexi played it down but he helped a lot with mr Kawasaki with translating and making sure all of his stuff was looked after. Pure class. Next time gotta fly ANA Alexi ❤😂
