@@gearknobchannel Mobility scooter, min 4mph max 8mph, you don't need a licence nor tax/test/mot, with a bigger shell of the Porsche body or any other shell to be fair, mobility scooters can go around 8-12 miles on 1 charge.

@@gearknobchannel Actually just had a look and yes they are illegal to use on the pavement and on the roads, daft but yes I was correct, they fall under the law of the road traffic act 1987 I think it is, and under the law of 1800 and something which basically says you can't ride on the pavement. So technically you could be prosecuted for riding that through south london. It's daft but that is the law, it's the same laws that keep escooters illegal, however if you put pedals on it then it is legal as a bike.

But the Sinclair C5 was legal on the road. So drive it on the road with a large warning flag on the back. 😂

@@nrw34260 The reason why the c5 was legal was simply because it had pedals and did not exceed the 200 watts of the day, today the c5 could have 250 watts. This little car has no pedals therefore it could be classed as a motor vehicle under the regulations, I know it is completely stupid but that is the law, and the rider of this vehicle could potentially get points a fine and done for driving with no licence, insurance and no MOT plus driving a vehicle un road worthy and no road or registration, they could throw the book at him exactly the same as an escooter, if the law wanted to, so I would be a bit careful with this video as the police have used video to prosecute people in the past. Hopefully the police view it like escoiter and turn a blind eye as he was not behaving badly. But it is a word of caution, stick pedals on it and it is fine. Also as a toy it has to meet all kinds of safety regs and you can only use these legally on private land with the owners concent. It is completely bonkers but there you are. Our roads in the UK are highly regulated, most cops wouldn't give a second look but all it takes us one out to get some over time and he could lose his license if he has one plus fines.
