That is what I thought his truck was called too. But look 7 seconds in, it's actually "Dig Doug". Now I wonder if it is named after a specific Doug of significance.
Great work Tom. Your style is different and easy to watch, maybe a bit less music (and sound effects) in the background would be good but I thoroughly enjoy your fabrication skill and immediately click on anything you post. Thanks for taking us along on your adventure!
Great video Tom, you had some excellent assistance with the truck and the camera. I liked the on-screen menus also, good job with the video editing. And you finished everything up "torqued to spec." 👍
As someone who lives in Pocatello and used to live in Cedar City, it’s fun to see someone who basically did the reverse! I also appreciate as many technical details as you want to share! I love to know the rationale behind why things are done throughout the process
Great video. So many positives . Your family supporting you with moving and helping in the shop. Your approach to upgrading and fixing things right ahead of time. Knowing what a work bench is for and keeping things off the floor for more effective and through work. Reading directions, using a torque wrench with safety equipment when needed are all signs of intelligence. Keep making content and doing work you can be proud of. Looking forward to more upgrades on Dig Doug. D 60 and 14b ? If you plan to stay with springs and haven't talked to Rory yet about what he got for Blue it would be a good start. Love square body trucks. Thanks for a drama free video.
Great video as always, Tom! Super cool that you’re experimenting with the editing of the video. The only suggestion I have is sometimes the background music felt like a little too much. Excited to see more Dig Doug!
Hello Tom Tom. Nice job with your bumper. I can recognice the doors and the screens on the Dig Dog from the Blazer I bought 40 years ago when it was cheap to buy US cars in Norway. The Steel plates in screens and doors was wonderfully thick and solid. I remember a friend of mine bumped the left screen in a big pine without as much as a mark on the screen that we were prepared that we had to repair after that big bang before we started laughing after we saw a little piece of bark as the only visible on the screen. I bought an inexpencive model with 3 speed manual, 6 cylinders engine and simple steel rims, remembered as a very reliable car. Best regards Arne G in Norway
I've seen more torque wrench use in one video than in YEARS of watching MORR. LOL! Awesome work Tom, great video quality and flow. Looking forward to watching your channel grow.
Great video! I appreciate the editing and torque wrench, haha. It's fun to see my home turf on RU-vid. I didn't know we even had trails like that here!
Doing good Tom glad you got the work done on you truck before you felt for you trip. Also glad it took care of the issue you were having with the ball joints.
Great work Tom! I enjoy watching a professional at work! It’s very important for youngsters watching to see the importance of following instructions and torquing to spec. Thank you!! BTW I would not paint Dig Doug! 😎
Yep the hot spot that’s under Yellowstone is the same hotspot that caused the lava flows in Idaho. The tectonic plate has moved over the hot spot creating these feature. Eventually the hot spot will be under Billing Montana. It will make hot tubs easy to build!
@@timcrawford8744 Right. Now that it's been pointed out to me, it makes perfect sense. But I had thought of it more like the photos of the Dust Bowl. Flat ground in every direction. It's not the first thing that Tom Tom has taught me - lol.
Great jobs on the graphics and the editing!! I'm a graphics guy, so that kind of effort and execution means a lot!! Well done Tom Tom! Keep up the great work! Always tuned in!
I lived in Idaho briefly more years ago than I care to remember. My memory of the lava fields is they were usually super abrasive. Hard on shoes and heaven help you if you fell. I assume they must tear the heck out of tires, too?
Heck yeah! I live for dig dug!!! I absolutely love seeing it on Matt’s channel and am excited you’re posting more about it too! You’re and inspiration Tom!
OK. I grew up in southern Idaho and lived there for 40 years. I never ever had any desire to drive in the lava fields. I did a few times from necessity north and west of Aberdeen, but nope. Never needed to try that in the old 1948 Willie’s Jeep. Really enjoy these new shows. Thanks.
Best attitude ever. I love to watch everything that you do Tom. And, getting to work, wheel, and travel with your Family is what it's all about. Much Respect dude...
The automotive knowledge and just awesome personality makes this video so fun to watch. MORR, vice grip garage, and Tom Toms shop are killing it! Keep-the videos comin!
Tom I really like your videos, the notifications of what you’re doing is really helpful, Matt needs to know how lucky he is to have you, good luck with your web site Jerry H😊
Dig-Doug is such a beast.(Sorry for spelling it Dig-Dug before!) I love the roll bar as well. It's like old school mixed with a bit of new, I love this whole build and I'm glad to see it getting more! I'd love to see anything and everything to do with this truck. You're great at presenting what you do, keep it up Tom! Looking forward to what the future holds in store for you!
