We have to zigzag our 20ft Airport broom when we bring it thru our 14ft shop doors. I am always impressed with how quickly Bob picks up new technology. He seems so willing tackle any new challenge.

Thanks for another great video Brian. It was interesting and informative and enjoyable to watch. Love that new Fendt combine. Love the joystick steering. The new header is a monster of a piece of equipment. Wow. Your new combine and wheat header are an amazing piece of equipment. Will be anxious to see it working in the field. Combines have gotten way to big! Farming isn't what it use to be. Now it's just how much u get done and profit. Has nothing todo with being intouch with your land and actually putting in the real time!

@@farmer_4850I have to respectfully disagree. With the new technology, you can spoon feed every acre for what it needs, or just do the bare minimum on places that just don't produce. You actually get to know more about your land. Great observation, though! 👍

Hi Brian, ensure the steering limit bolts are set for maximum turning radius, mainly because I'd heard the Fendt Ideal combines turning circle isn't the best, so be sure to wind those bolts right in or swap for some shorter ones that'll allow maximum steering from the rear. Really like the videos keep them coming please. 😀

If you want to get a 50ft head in a 50ft door don't go at it straight on, come at it at an angle. When the right hand of your header passes the right opening of your door turn hard right and it will go in around the back of the opening leaving plenty of space on the left

In Canada massy had a huge market share years ago. They eliminated most of the dealer network. Pretty much case John Deere and to some extent new holland left. At least in Saskatchewan. J d has by far the best support

I went on custom wheat harvest in 1974 and 1975, most of our headers were 22 foot but we had one that was a massive 24 foot wide. Seems kinda puny now. Congratulations on your new combine and header.

I remember when Mike Mitchell had Ideal with this type of steering,he didn't liked it while being on the move from location to location. Apparently it's kinda jerky with moving it at raming speed. I bet that this is also personal preference from a operator to a operator. Hopefully this machine will work IDEAL for your operations,better than Gliner(you've called it once "Mazda" in equipment). Now we waiting for the harvest season!!

Your going the right way in not using the Honey Bee integrated header transport. We have had several Honey Bee headers and the integrated transport is cumbersome. It would be OK moving into hundreds of acre fields but jumping around in smaller fields it just take too long to utilize. It will be interesting to see how you like the Honey Bee header. We liked ours in wheat but it did not hold up well in soybeans. The ground contact was hard on it. The model you have is two models newer than our last one. We like our Mac Dons but they are a good bit heavier than the Honey Bees. So if Honey Bee has got theirs going we will have to try one again.

Mayers is taking over the fendt side of things. Good luck dealing with Chris mayer. Been waiting months on a tech to come out and get dads R62 running again. It’s been down since this past fall!!!!! Glad we still have my machine! We’ll be making the transition over to case starting this fall. No service=no business!

The. Combine will not have the capacity to harvest the wheat and not throw 10 bushels out the back. Or more. The thrasher Sieves will not handle it , if you have a 80 bushel crop Those heads are designed for Saskatchewan dry land that sometimes only gets 10 bushels per acre Watch the over flow. Been there done. That

I live right near a Deer dealer, they put the big heads through a 40~ foot fence gate doing that angle trick. Slide in tight on one side while turning, then ease the other end in with feet to spare. Easy to tell the guys that have done it from the new mechanics.
