Thank you so much for posting every day matt, being able to rely on your videos every day to make me laugh has gotten me thru so so much and I cannot thank you enough
Hey guys! I'm one of the developers of this game, and wow! What an incredible honor for us to see content from our project on the RCE channel! I have to admit, I felt a bit embarrassed here and there because of the bugs, but I can still only say, WOW!!! (We've already fixed the camera movement thing, though :D)
Beautiful game regardless! I can see the similarities to Drofromantik, which I still play tons of, I could see myself getting tons of hours out of this one too!
It’s looking great so far! If I might make two suggestions… A way to get a top-down view would probably be very useful. That first flooded village was pretty hard to see with the current camera angle, so a way to view it would be nice. Waterfalls. They could be a way to raise river tiles so they don’t leave huge valleys or it could allow river tiles to flood.
There is a unique detail about this channel. Almost every single preview and title on this channel is made in style of mobile "free2play" games. You know what I am talking about, lvl 1 vs lvl 100, noob vs pro, something that is looking like it was made mostly using psychite tea or yayo. Every single bit of content, on the other hand, is just a gameplay. The only silly moments are ads and singing. That's it, no screaming intro microphone, no flashy images, no use of modern slang.
So you never can't build anything in that same spot instead once a tile has drowned? That sort of game that looks like kind of mindless fun but actually makes you regret your decisions of the early game once you progress. In short - easy to learn, hard to master. A welcome addition to my wishlist. Thanks for this video. I otherwise would have missed it.
I got 12,445 on my first try. Which I guess means I've got the mind of an engineer. I got lucky and had a long stretch of river which made it easy to bring fall pieces along it and get a ton of +4/+5. I cant quite tell for sure but I think the larger the piece of landmass you raise, the more bonus cards you get. Or the "synergy" works in series, giving you better bonuses depending on how long your chain of high scoring placements is. I also found out near the end of the game that the Tree of Fall (the mother tree) connects all connected biomes into one landmass you can raise. Thus making it easier to give all tiles height at the same time. Wish I found that out sooner.
ive recently started this game, but ive been struggling with certain aspects of the strategy. for example when you first get your forest tiles you dont always get enough to raise the terrain and they sink right away. how do i protect my first tiles in a new biome???
Its a great game! Has anyone btw understood what is the purpose of the "skip" card? I mean, I understand its function, but why would anyone discard a tile?
Day 246:Dear Matt, I have a very good video idea Gather all your editors and make them all have 3 chances to make the cheapest, best and most efficient bridge, or the best score on any motorway game(e.g AQR, that one train game, ect...), or who make the longest and most efficient shapes. And see who is the best editor and is worthy of the rank of a classified engineering. From me.
I just remember a old* game and i would like matt to play it, can you please try *They are Billions* (its about the last few engineers trying to survive the architect apocalypse 🤣)the last time i played it, they added a campaign mode and never got to play it since i was busy with uni, would love to watch you play it as a series :D Also love the games you are playing, i tried a few of them and they were awesome. This one looks fun so i'll try it out too!
It was so frustrating to not see you figure out that the "surround this tile with x tiles" missions change depending on the tiles that are already nearby T_T
The sponsored game is completely different to the one featured in the video. I love how Land Above Sea Below looks and am going to check it out. The only thing that I am disappointed about it is the Windows only availability. It's great that you are highlighting the games of smaller companies.
I'm not a gamer but my partner is, and listens to this person constantly, while I try to block him from my mind. He speaks in one run-on sentence for half an hour with not even a moment to breathe. He needs help. He probably drones on irl, never shutting up.
Just a thought, you might possibly be the one who needs help. Your partner and many other people enjoy watching his videos, don't insult people for no reason because you're in a miserable state of living.
You could also just say you don’t like RCE’s content without insulting him personally... Also, if it really annoys you so much, can’t one of you two just get headphones?
