I enter the largest fish market in Honduras, located in San Lorenzo, Valle. I visit the shops, try live Honduran oysters, ask about the prices of Pacific fish and shrimp, and have lunch with the famous seafood dishes. Afterwards, we explored the streets of San Lorenzo to try street food and pastries. I also explore the Pan-American Highway (CA-1) which comes from Mexico and crosses Honduras to Nicaragua. The multi-lane road is in perfect condition and now has several plazas with restaurants, cafes, banks and more. Realizing that San Lorenzo has the best sunset in the country according to locals, I go to the pier and explore the beach boulevard where there are restaurants, hotels, mangrove beaches, and a houseboat. Some street vendors prepare me live oyster ceviches bathed in lemon juice, sauce, oyster blood and chili.
Many thanks to Hotel Casa Vieja for hosting us.
