The US still has a program that allows cubans to become automatic US citizens should they touch American soil. They are refugees and have integrated well. No one really questions them being here. North Koreans are similar culturally to south koreans so theres no real clash there. The clash comes when there is a refusal to integrate into the mainstream society of a country and when crime and poverty go up. They work as Lumber gatherers. they come to Russia to cut trees and take them back to north Korea, as from what i know - they work for 2-3 years in Russia in a camp,and when they come back they make extra money. They seem very grateful they have this job and no one seems to be constantly treeing to escape. they get breakes,they eat. sometimes i see them smoking cigarettes and relaxing on a log - near my dacha.

There is an immigration system and unfortunately, it's sorta slow. It can take some time to get some paper work done, and to have it approved, and of course, the cost and payment of the whole entire trip. Maybe a change of mind?
