Very sad and she's not alone in her experience. This is how cults operate and it's almost always the children who suffer the most. So glad she was able to escape and find happiness.

Toward the end, when Hanna is speaking about Dr York and his prison time, she kept referring to "this person". Maybe a dozen times, rather than referring to him by name. I wish Seth had asked her about that. Is she still enough under the spell that she can't use his name in anything but reverent terms? Just curious. I loved this exchange, that demonstrates how deeply she was indoctrinated: SETH - "Were you indoctrinated with racism?" HANNA - "No." then "We were taught that white people were the devil." later "We didn't listen to white people music." I grew up in the South. In the 60's. Can't say that I was taught racism at home. My family moved from Pennsylvania in 1961. My parents had never been exposed to the blatant, overt racism that they found here. But, I learned racism from my friends. From some of their parents. But I NEVER thought black people were the devil. (Okay, I was a Lutheran back then. The devil was a very vague concept) And I didn't eschew black people music. I think everyone would see that as being indoctrinated with racism. Not trying to call Hanna out. I just feel bad for her. She seems to still be blind to parts of her upbringing. But ... aren't we all? I sure as hell haven't been through what she has been through. I certainly wish her the best and appreciate her sharing her story. I hope that my comment is respectful and appropriate for Seth's forum.

I used to read Malachi Z. York scrolls and pocket scrolls in the 1980s & 90s. I never followed it, only read it. I was the type to listen, but had to do my own conductive personal research. I knew a few people from Ta Mere (which actually means "Rebellion" (Ta Mry) in Syriac. I was a registered memver in the Nation of Islam in the 80s & 90s but i got the out of there.

I met a lady and her sister in 2000 that had escaped from this cult. I was 19 at the time. It was very weird!!

Alot of reports are not accurate , the foundation was base on religions beliefs which is a symptom of white thinking , it's a people right to subscribe to their culture , no one humiliate Hindus for being Hindu or Chinese for being buddhist or Mexicans for their culture , the leader was very educated and pro -black fighting for his the liberation of his people , set up curriculum's for children and changed whole torn down neighborhoods made them thriving communities and taught comparative religious studies moving toward Afrikan culture teaching empowerment , these stories are not or does not represent the actions of the tribal /nation

I lived a few miles from the Nuwaubian compound in Georgia and remember the pyramids lit up like a theme park at night. Back in the late 90’s, I also recall a little girl in my class at Jasper County, Monticello High school that we all knew to be from the Nuwaubian cult. She was very shy. Most of the kids, both black and white alike were usually pretty mean to her and treated her like an outsider. At that time she and the other kids dressed as we did. One day, being an outcast myself, I had a chance to sit down beside her at the lunch table and I asked if she would mind telling me about her beliefs. I think she could sense that I was not being mean or facetious and was just genuinely interested in what they actually believed since their were so many false rumors and conspiracies about the cult so she opened up to me a little and was very matter-of-fact about their religion and the only things she had ever known to be true. I found what she had to say about white people not having souls and their belief in a time for an ethnic cleansing to be extremely disturbing though I knew she meant none of this with any malice towards me. After all, I’m the one who asked her if she would talk about it. I thanked her for informing me and it was about a week later when she disappeared and did not return to school. Shortly after that, the Nuwaubian compound was raided and their leader was arrested for child sex trafficking. It was all over the news that the under age girls had been sent from Eatonton Georgia to NewYork for prearranged marriages. I have often wondered what happened to that little girl. I hope she is in a good place in life.

I heard about this guy after moving to the state the leader is incarcerated in. And then I started to meet people with similar names. It was so scary and weird then I continued to read on this group. I wanted to be sure if I came in contact with any of these people I knew how to keep my distance. That I do! but I also learned that when u do they may not keep their distance from you. And I am a strong believer in my faith brought up by some strong Christian women I know never to turn away from Christ and my grandmother planted the seed very strong within me. so I know better. But these people are strong within our society and it’s scary to ever think of coming in contact with them. From kidnapping to having their own government thats really scary and I believe in one government and that’s the one that I answer too and rely upon not that one. But I pray that these people get shut down and denounced because it’s scary to know they exist and prey upon people who minds their own business live their own lives. They just exist and prey upon people. You being kind hearted and they being preyers out to devour innocent people. Who don’t want no part of this just preying. I once came in contact with a guy whom I thought was kind and wanted to help me with a goal of mine. He took a photo of me and him and didn’t want me to have a copy of it. And couldn’t tell me nothing about him or his life he just said he was run out of Florida. I thought years later it’s people like that who prey upon others and not be truthful in what their intentions are I thought about the cult in Miami was he apart of that ?? and immediately I said to myself I’d never ever trust someone who says their around to help as I did with him. He spoke of good intentions but didn’t have good intentions. He was much older than myself and had wisdom and knew how to navigate what I was trying to do he knew how to navigate things. But once he asked about my social number in a conversation I knew to end communication in which I gave him the wrong number. I knew then he was up to no good and possibly what I thinking I probably was correct. It’s no way he should need or be asking me for my personal info helping me with a goal didn’t require disclosing personal info. I’m sure not everyone in these groups might be as such people. if this is still happening to people and discovering recent episodes are still surfacing. it’s most likely a majority from that particular religion is like the leader or culprits. As for that guy I met I had to really rethink and do it myself because that was scary. I learned if a person can’t be honest when meeting you can’t tell you nothing about their life except they were ran out of a state by authorities and officials. That means they were up to no good and not good for my friendship or any kind of relationship. I Walked completely away ended my communication for good! I did learn later he was watching my social media profile I said I did right I ended my communication and never spoke to him ever again. Distant myself and changed my phone numbers, passwords and blocked his name from my accounts. I did it was scary and you just never know. Now I don’t trust everyone who says I want to help with a goal or a vision. Not all help will be good help😑
