I EXPLORED LEEDS, ENGLAND WITH THE LOCALS! 

Leeds is a very underrated city, many people only hear of london, manchester and birmingham but leeds is actually the 3rd largest stand alone city in england, it just does not get as much coverage although with ch4 headquarters in the city now as well as new government departments in the city this should change. It has such a great city centre with beautiful old architecture spanning many streets together with a vast amount of new modern skyscraper tall buildings currently going up, its also one of the fastest growing city centres in europe with cranes up all over the city

This really makes me wanna travel to Leeds one day. I’m living my dream to travel the UK through you. Keep it up hahaha

I live 10 miles from Leeds ....20 mins travel by train. A diverse ,lively city .there's plenty to do for all ages .The food and drink scene is second to none .Come and see for yourself - us " Yorkshire folk are very welcoming " 💋

Leeds got its name from an ancient forest called Leodis that once stood in its place I believe? I don't believe it existed in the Viking age anyway, places in Leeds like Morley did though. Wakefield was the seat of Viking power for the west riding. As the Vikings would have said "Jorvik vestr þriðjungur". The university of Leeds wanted to collaborate with the council to create the world's first self repairing city using robotics and drones. Apparently around 4 and a half thousand jobs in advanced manufacturing are soon coming to Leeds, that's on top of the tens of thousands of jobs being created by these developments.. It's a great international city, and is a "Brain gain" city, it's GDP grew 40% in under ten years, and it's city centre is set to double in size over the next few years and an urban park is coming to central Leeds, it also has boat taxis that were imported from Holland. It's an outward looking city made up of people from across the world. The dialect is WR Yorkshire dialect, it has over a thousands words of Viking origin (Specifically old East Norse, "Ey Up" cf "Sey Upp" Swedish, and it actually means "look up" in both Swedish and Yorkshire dialect but most people think it means "hello") And there's words ike "Mun" that means "Must" in dialect, in old Norse it's "Munu" meaning "Will"

Sorry 😢 about uk 🇬🇧 summer Paige just one of dose summers ~ if you came to London in 2018 very hot 🥵 summer during June July and an August really hated because sun very strong wasn’t humid very dry and very hot and autumn was beautiful too ~ and look at summer of 2021 I think we had two very short heat waves but whole summer cool and pleasant and intense rainfalls plague the summer too
