Just found your channel, I’m a fellow Warhammer Fantasy and Si-Fi 40K guy and got into Warlord Games Bolt Action last year. I live in the UK so don’t have any additional shipping costs, both Warlord Games and obviously Games Workshop based here, but GW prices have just gone mad imo. Love the wide variety that Warlord games sell for all different eras. Picked up one of the Mystery Boxes beginning of the year and was great value with a wide range of merchandise. Have just ordered the next WW2 themed Mega mystery box so looking forward to receiving that. Just building up the Brothers in Arms D Day set which is great, but alas my painting is not as good as yours. But your right building and painting is good for the mental health. Keep up the good work on your videos. 😊
@@davidpollard638 brother I feel every word you write here. Keep the painting up... I had some great many frustrating moments painting... But you are failing "forward". Just do your best, and the next will be better. Sometimes you will be disappointed... But its all part of the Process.

It is nice to see a fantasy/SciFi wargamer discover historical miniatures! I have Winter Germans and Soviets for the Eastern Front, and also U.S. Marines and Japanese Army for a much warmer climate. I'm not sure I'll every finish painting them, but I saw a video in which Bo Mortinson mentioned "I've trained with Gurkhas" and I realized it would be worth the time and expense to put together a British Army (with Gurkhas, of course) so I could make that same claim ("I trained with a Gurkha unit") when asked about my actual military service - no sense in getting too specific. Something to keep in mind when it comes to shooting and realism. A rifle gets one shot per turn, and a submachine gun gets only two shots per turn. Not realistic when you consider an SMG can fire a lot more shots. However, the idea is not that they are shooting only one or two bullets in a turn, but these numbers reflect their relative chances of getting a hit. Maybe in reality a rifleman fires two or three shots in the time the SMG empties a magazine, but how many hits are they likely to get? In the game, this is reflected by one shot and two shots per turn. Another thing to know is that Warlord Games is not the only source of WW2 miniatures in 28mm. That's another nice thing about historical wargaming - nobody owns the copyright for 17th Century pikes, so you have a choice and the manufacturers have competition. You also have the option of a 3-D printer. Those are awesome paint jobs, by the way. Very impressive. I wish I could do something half as good, but I didn't have a background in painting miniatures. My excuse is that the uniforms have seen a lot of wear and tear, multiple washings and faded from the sun exposure. "It's not easy making them look this bad, preventing them from looking like nice new uniforms."
Yeah I was always a big Fan on History, Movies and STories. And WW2 always fascinated me. I wanted to get myself a Bolt Action Army, the First Time I saw it... love at first Sight!^^ Check out my Video on how I build my British ARmy. Seem you also got your Armies for every Occasion! Interesting...that hitting thing! What other WW2 Minis can you recommend? I love the Perry Minis and I also got some 3D Printed Trucks and Vehicles. Everybody paints as good as she or he can. That is the Job. And thats FINE!
Exactly. The next Video I do in an hour will be how I build my 8th Army with Perry Miniatures, Inspired by Bo Mortensen. Also Warlord Games deosn't retire whole armies Like GW does. I wanted to Play Volksgrenadiers... And did, but Boy did my friend playing Sovjets Focus These poor Souls hahah. The Volkstrum i didn't Play yet... But The strafbattalion with motorcycle Feldgendamerie IS fun.
@@dariostabletopbastelecke4846 Yes, $59 USD for a box of US Army. And I love Perry but they’re much smaller than warlord. I’m not too hung up on mixing troop kits but I like to keep the size similar and most of my collection are warlord. So, yeah warlord is getting expensive. But, point taken, they aren’t GW prices.
Hey. Just to say I don't play Bolt Action, or any wargames, but I am into Kill Team skirmish. I bought some fine brushes & bits from Warlords and they spent me a single BA sprue as a bonus. They were so good I bought a dozen of them and am in the process of kitbashing two guard teams (a Germanic Krieg one, a Colonial Maries type Kasarkin one) and the bits are lovely. The bodies, the bits. The heads - my god the heads make me laugh - so many great variations. From what I've seen the game looks good but I can confirm the infantry sprues are incrediballs for the price. (Also have some Project-Z sprues from them too, again very nice and so many bits & funny bits).
Addendum : the fact you can buy individual sprues without having to buy a box, rules, etc., means you can get some great value. I forgot I also got some Greek & Roman sprues as I wanted to have some statues in my Heroquest game. Haven't put them together but they will look glorious, some in "stone", some in precious metals (D&D's classic "bronze, gold, platinum"). I guess bashing some statue/golem rules would be cool.
I love kill Team too. I cam Imagine These minis fit perfectly for 40k Guard, because they stand on 25mm bases. Crazy good yes! What is Projekt Z? A Zombie Tabletop? Wanted to get onto a Walking Dead Style Zombie Game for a while.
@@dariostabletopminatures Aye, Warlord Games zombie game. Haven't played the game, the models are good though. Male and Female survivors have some nice comedy parts (golf-club weapon, hand-bags, etc.), there's a biker gang with some real Mad Max bodies on them (and motorbikes), and a Spec Ops sprue with torors and legs separate that make up a modern military / paramilitary crew. (I'll be using the Spec Ops as a base for my Adeptus Arbites with Judge Dredd heads). EDIT: an arm holding a "HOLY BIBE" is how I made my Veteran Zealot. The official model has him reading from a book (as they are a zealot/fanatic).

I used to play Project Zombiod and Type into your RU-vid "ENDTIMES TCG" that is my Trading Card in the Makings. You might like it. Love the Mad Max, Judge Dredds, Holy BiBE and Veteran Zealot thing!!!! AH... sweet 80s, 90s and before!
@@dariostabletopminatures forgot to say, I got two sprues of Zombie Vixens. ELEVEN bodies on each. Sexy zombies. One of the arms even has a pool float on it. Anyway, they'll be for my kitbashed Lady Cultist Team. I lucked out, Warlord had a bunch of sprues half price so I got all the half-price ones. So I was getting them for around £5 each instead of £10. But even £10 is value.
Which One did you pick up. That one with the double Bren Carriers. The Desert Rats are awesome. I guess a Primer with Army Painter Wraithbone, or something like GW'S Zandri Dust paints already 85% of your Army. I will showcase my Desert Rats soon! Have fun building, painting and fielding them!
@@SurfaceDweller Well you will love my Perry Minis Review, they are fairly cheap and plenty if you want to fill out your Army. I builld my british 8th Army on the cheap. Maybe the next Video or so.
