You are easily my favorite player to watch. Those combos were so good and so consistently good. Most adaptive combos of any player ive seen. I havent gotten this hype about a tekken match in a long time. good stuff hope to see more of you
Just started playing Tekken 7 this week, and as a Kazuya main I just defeated another Kazuya main that had 350+ victories 2 times in a row, while I only had 30 wins, and man I swear that was the best feeling. Now I'm a full time Tekken player lol
The great thing about competitive games, especially one as nuanced as Tekken, is there's always a way to improve. When you see the results of it it's extremely satisfying. I have well over 300 hours and 800 wins on Jin and just today hit the f4 combo without zen (a very hard staple combo)after avoiding really trying it before, and it was an amazing feeling. Kazuya is a very hard character when you're starting out so don't be disheartened if you lose a lot before you start climbing ranks, but when all the pieces start to come together you'll be in for a great feeling of satisfaction. Good work
You'd be surprised, some people have a lot of games and experience, but they're still stuck in place. I hit a plateau for a while, and because of themainmanswe I am reaching heights, I never knew I could. I don't want to take loses too seriously, but ranked on tekken 7 is so toxic.
@@smugaladdin8372 thank you my friend, glad to hear you're still keeping at it 800 victories in. And Kazuya is the first guy I chose lmao, have no clue how hard or not he is to play, have never played around with another character. And honestly I'm winning a ton, even against people who are very advanced. Guess it's beginner's luck huh. Also if you have Ps5 add me, Julius10325476
@@sonofaballer96 glad to see you're making progress so far in, I also want to get better with Kazuya, right now my biggest difficulty is executing weird inputs with stars in the commands, and the fact that almost all Kazuya's combos are middle which makes them easy to dodge. And definitely I've met tons of people online on ranked that only spam a single combo and one even disconnected the second after losing, that was weird. Add me if you have Ps5, Julius10325476
@@sonofaballer96 May i ask, how can ranked on tekken be highly toxic? surely the most they can do is teabag and ki charge? then you can just not rematch? But it doesn't seem to have a strong messaging system or anything
I've been watching videos on this channel over a couple of years. mms has improved so much in that time as a player. He's getting wins out of much higher calibre players lately. His set vs Sephiblack (Shaheen, not Miguel, but still) where he won the majority impressed me loads
To everyone watching. Kazuya is a horrible match-up for Noctis. Probably the worst match-up. Why? Because his 2 best lows (d2 and d3) are launch punishable with twin pistons. It's TMM's fault for not punishing these 2 moves. He neglected checking these 2 moves so much that momo didn't even use db4, which is the only low Noctis can do without dying to twinpistons.
When u take a look at tekken tournaments its always about safe strings and pokes till the round timer ends. As long as its like this people can never have the same satisfaction when they first saw the play at 2004 with street fighter. Instead of watching tekken tournaments its always more fun to watch good people go at it with each other just to have a show.
Yessss!! I hate this style of play..I stopped playing tekken for a while because of this.. And was playing MK10 and 11..I just started playing even Tekken 8 was announced
I think this was a good example of how abusable ssL can be against a kazuya at the higher levels. Just the threat of well timed neutral ssL's from momodog changed how you played against him.
It's crazy to think just how different Kazuya is in Tekken 7 compared to 8. I mean overall it looks like TMMs playstyle is the same. Electrics and I think ff3 (i dunno) df2 and while rising 4 but without that demon paw Kazuya was just awful up close. So little mids. Not many burst options or panic options. Kazuya is mostly on the defensive from these really strong characters who put so much pressure on him. In tekken 8 he still has a few of those issues up close but it feels a lot better than it was before thanks to better tools
@@paulreales920He's not wrong. I usually visually confirm WS1 on CH, but sometimes I get confused when I interrupt a throw and it turns out to not be a real CH resulting in me failing the confirm. With the damage number hit effects I just need to see a "12" on my screen instead of a "10" and I can immediately be sure of CH confirming WS1, that's just about the only move it's useful for for me, though.
@@Momo-Dog and still it's 12-35 dmg difference, so still worth it. Sad part - you can't practice hitconfirm in training mode because of huge yellow MID cowering numbers.. Couldn't try it online today.
I don't like he s using Noctis but I'll leave a like cuz I liked the matches, and he is actually very strong, I'd like to play against him actually we have a similar gameplan and movement, could be interesting
Momo like pushing his opponents to the wall so he can land that buggy demo man launcher, not too often do i see players repeatedly push a standing opponent towards wall without a wavedash
I played a lot against Momo and offline too, the neutral game against him is just scary His timing and his reads are very good He tries a lot to Bait you with the same moves That guy beats sephis miguel so often and in Our offline Sessions nobody has a Chance against him
Noctis is such a goated Tekken guest. wish i could see him or someone similar to him in T8. idc if someone doesnt like Noctis or his mains. i said what i said
I could see Clive from 16 making a potential appearance, or maybe Jack from Stranger of Paradise, either way I'd be very intrigued to see how well they'd adopt their respective playstyles with how well they did Noctis'
@KleptoBismol45 honestly I just got Noctis because I love him as a character in general. T8 having a character like him or maybe Locke would be so sick.
I don't understand Namco giving such long reach swords to a character in tekken where they rely on their fists and legs. Not even Yoshi can do this and is fairly well balanced. Noctis and other 2d characters are purely to cater to people who don't play tekken.
LowHigh top three korean player? Knee, Joendding, CBM, Ulsan, Rangchu, and kkokkoma are all better than him and that's just what came off the top of my head. I'd agree if you said top 10
@@sonofaballer96 ah, yea idk I started watching in Tekken 7 and his results are not that impressive. Maybe he was bigger in tag 2 and T6 I wouldn't know
