Recently discovered you channel. Thanks for doing such in depth reviews. I think this is the first review of SFO I've ever seen. Happy to support another Yay Area boy!
LOL I would love to see the AA flight attendants try and execute a QR J service - from the individually coursed meals, hand plated mains, making iced chai lattes (which involves frothing fresh milk) to turndown service and managing dine on demand for 40+ passengers and multiple service flows in parallel - they’d crumble into the abyss hahaha
Great video. I’ve seen lots of QSuite videos but yours offers many new things not seen in others. I’ve subscribed and look forward to more Business and First reviews. Keep up the good work.
I must have seen so many Qsuite vids on YT but this was the best Iv watched so far. I loved how you walked us through the airport, its lounge and then the entire flight. I was to fly this configuration in Jan'24 from JFK, unfortunately they now have me on a 777, but still a Qsuite.
I'm traveling this summer from sfo to Doha in qsuites and so this video was very helpful. You went over everything in detail. You should do more videos like this.
Did you know that as you were on a same day Oneworld Business Class ticket, you could have gone to the British Airways lounge instead of the lounge Qatar told you to go to?
I have flown Qatar several times. Departed from Dallas, Houston, LA and Dulles. All of the lounges in the US were terrible. I left and went to the AA or Centurian lounges. They truly do not appear to care about this part of the experience. I see this as a true deficit to the airline. I really like your reviews. Keep up the great work.
Thanks! I do try to fly a different airline to the Middle East depending on the airport I’m leaving from so I can try and use the best lounge. Definitely try to return on Qatar but it’s usually much to $$$$
Great video in every way, including your spot-on voiceover. Your videos are so relaxing for the senses, yet compelling to watch in order not to miss a thing. And the background music is outstanding. (I'd love to know what it is).
I hope you get the chance. It is a ton of $$$. Saving up miles is probably your best bet. It did take me quite a while to save up enough Alaska miles but it was worth every penny
@@PatrickSheaAviation It really depends. Last week Qatar BC cost me $6000. Last year I paid $$2789 for BC and first class, the year before it was $4000 I would NEVER be able to save miles, so cash is my only option
@@PatrickSheaAviation As a follower of your Mr Shea I did it backwards and have my previous 20 countries on my Instagram travels and now thinking of starting a small yt channel this yr. Started traveling 2015 n now im thinking I jumped on the yt bandwagon too late 😮
Patrick, not sure if anyone ever let you know about that sauce you had with your Spanish tapas but it looked like a Romesco sauce which is made from roasted red peppers, tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika and almonds, then pureed until smooth. That macaroni & cheese looked rather bleak and disappointing. "It wasn't the best açai bowl that I ever had,"....listen to you!! ;-) Excellent video (as always!): 9.800
Thank goodness that on this plane, one is not greeted by an open toilet. It is the grossest thing to see in 99% of reviews. Hopefully one day I’ll get to fly in the suite 🤞🏾🤞🏾
Just had my first experience yesterday in qsuites houston to doha everything was great except the long delays and layovers .. i find emirates business better
I am most happy for you to be able to travel, especially to destinations many would not consider. Get out of your comfort zone! Your channel was recommended (by RU-vid is my guess) perhaps two weeks ago. I decided to watch, and the rest is history. My experience on Qatar was all things favorable. My journey took me from SEA to DOH to AUH. Doha was a transit point. Abu Dhabi was my end point. The absolute best part of returning to the US (JFK) from AUH was US Customs and Border pre-clearance. I wish you only the best, as well as safety, on all of your travels. Travel is experience for life.
I appreciate the kind words! I forgot AUH has pre-clearance! That was also my final destination but I flew back home from Dubai. Thanks for checkin out my channel! Safe travels
I love your channel, Patrick. The a350 is my favorite plane that I've flown on, but I have to admit I've never been on on the a380. What's your favorite?
The A380 is really nice, its too bad Qatar doesn't fly with one from the US other than Emirates, looking forward to fly first class with them in the far future
Fantastic report 😊 QR Suites is the best way to fly business. I had the suites on a round trip to Singapore in March 2020, days before the world shutting down. Embarrassing lounge. No wonder Air France had to emphasize so many times "Temporary" 😂
@11:00 you say there are instructions how to get the door off if it gets stuck in flight. The door will not get stuck "in flight". It will, however, get stuck during an uncontrolled impact with the ground or hard landing.
the meal looked delish. Im surprised there wasnt a "bar with alcoholic drinks" at one end of the Business class. I watched Emirates Bus. Class from another persons channel, and there was on that flight, also there was "munchies area" like packet of chips (crisps) or peanuts, muffins etc - that you could just help yourself. I do love the idea that you can shut the door for complete privacy
The meal was awesome! The A380s are the only aircraft they have with an in flight bar. They also have them on only a couple of the 777s that they got from Virgin Australia
I have no choice really. I enjoy traveling, a flight in Economy on Dubai, I developed blood clots. That changed to Pulmonary embolism traveled to my lungs, and damaged right side of my heart. I was in ICU and CCU and almost died. A BC seat is cheaper than ICU and CCU. That $6054, I paid for my flight last Monday to Turkey. I REFUSE to leave in two weeks. I will fly back in August
Those floor to ceiling suites are only on Emirates’ renovated cabins. I will say though that these suites are plenty high so that you don’t see people walking past you in the aisle at least
I have! Only ever in economy class, but I really enjoyed it. Some of the better recline I’ve had in economy class and a good entertainment system. I’d love to try it out again
I was about to book a business class flight for 85 K AA miles but when I went to check out it said it couldn't confirm. It's so sad how annoying the booking process can be as not all flights are always available to book even when they say they are.
I had that happen. I tried playing around with dates and got it to work. Often times, calling customer service can help as they have extra booking tools that may be able to help
Toilet spray? 😂😂😂 it’s Eau de Toilette - a perfume! Not oil based which is Eau de Perfume, but a perfume all the same. It is NOT “toilet spray” 😂😂 I hope you used it on yourself as opposed to in the loo after a poop! (Great videos though with so much detail! Thank you 🙏).
I actually quit like the music background. It’s catchy. Also, with all of your flying I would have thought you had status on a number of alliances to gain access to other lounges. Even without a status, couldn’t you have gained entry into the JAL and BA lounges by virtue of your business class ticket?
Thank you! I do have Star Alliance Priority, but I spent all my money on that 🥲 Regarding the JAL and BA lounge, that was an excellent thought… that I had once I was already on board. I did get to visit the JAL lounge on a future flight (that video will be up later this month)
For the life of me, I cannot understand why American travellers would elect to travel out of the USA on an American airline either east to Europe and beyond or west to Asia and the Middle East. Clearly, a middle eastern airline company will give you value or money rather than be treated like a nuisance on a U S airliner?
