I think what’s kinda crazy is that so little players really get invested and crack open the potential into playing or even trying out Steven just cause of the media and personality behind him. It’s similar to how Reindog gets left out a lot cause it’s so hard to make him interesting without voicelines, little personality, or any media to flesh out the character.
No disrespect, you’re an amazing morty, but I would actually want to see you go against LeviathanMVS, his combo game and setups with morty are actually insane

10:06 i think i might understand why he do that. He put the shield down, then use watermelon steven, but he also use neutral special right? The lazer thing. So people would have to jump over that shield or destroy it to approach him, and if they do that he would have a advantage becuz his lazer is up. But if they dont approach, he will guarantee that watermelon steven is alive.
Another thing added to all that its also smart to do 70 - 80% damage first then use watermelon steven most players tend to spazz out since there so much going on

Steve is definitely not he’s just a content creator not a pro light whisp is by far the best Steven he has the best tournament results and alpha stone is definitely rank 2 Steve is not a pro player and dosnet play in tournaments
7:40 im a steven main and usually i don't watermelon off rip because some people like to go for an immediate attack and you don't always get it off. also it heals 5 health every time you use it so i like to take at least a little damage first to make use of that. 17:33 steven's side special will give an ally armor if it passes through them, this includes watermelon steven although the effect doesn't visually show.
I love watching really good Steven players because he has so many interesting and out right weird moves and I like to see how they use them like the watermelon which they used very well and it disrupted your morty in every way possible
Yeah its expected to lose to a steven as a morty with 2.5k wins its expected because his neutral air can be spammed and there isnt much to do because morty has one useless armor break move and the nair destroys all projectiles.
If still kills me how the water melon guy isn’t about attack the player but more like disturbe him beceaus u think he’s gonna hit u the whole fight so u gotta be busy with him meanwhile it give a time for the real player to come close to u
Honestly surprised at how slow gameplay from most pro players are, I feel like I wouldn’t be overwhelmed if I played against these guys in a lobby. Void and Nakat are the only two players who seem to actually play at a speed most of us can’t comprehend/clearly better than us

If anything these top stevens want ya to kill watermelon becuase when steven uses watermelon he heals and he can't get it back till watermelon dies that's why you see stevelaflame trying to kill his watermelon
If u see an good stephen ur fucked. By far the best char in the game if u can play him like this dude . Mages seem pretty strong against him tho. I really like the perk where watermelon stephen grows bigger its hilarious even tho his other perks might be stronger Edit: does this guy have an yputube channel i want to watch more of gus gameplay . Its so interesting
@@maniachaelgaming tf are you talking about dude Morty can be countered easily I always beaten Morty's easily and when I play Morty I have to play much harder just to win sometimes I can get as many wins as shaggy with half the effort and Rick is just easier due to the versatility of his moveset
