I Finally Tried Acrylic Pouring | Dirty Pour
I finally tried acrylic pouring on bottles! This episode is the first of the new series called, Off The Arts, Or Back To The Drawing Board? Where I get out of my comfort zone and try new techniques and share my experience with you. Fluid art has to be one of the most relaxing, therapeutic, and oddly satisfying art forms I've ever tried. I highly recommend it! I'm still trying to get comfortable in front of the camera, so excuse my nervousness. Thanks for watching! Please show your support by liking, commenting, and sharing the video. See you next Friday, my crafty fam! God bless!

A tiny bit about myself:
Hi, my name is Ivelisse. I've been artistic and creative my whole life. Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy one. I'm a survivor of many trials and tribulations. It caused me to develop serious mental health issues. I was self-medicating by using drugs and alcohol for over twenty years. On August 1st, 2014, I threw myself at the mercy of the Lord and prayed to God to save me. I asked God to forgive me for all my sins, and I forgave everyone who ever hurt me. I've been sober and clean ever since. Glory be to God! I started my walk with Christ along with my health and fitness Journey, and soon after, I found myself itching to get back to my passion, my art! But: I didn't just want to do it for myself. I wanted to share what God blessed me with and did for me and the joy He brings me to others. Not long after, I created my RU-vid channel, DIY No Need To Cry! I took the bottles that were killing me and turned them into art. With each piece I make, I replace a bad memory and create new ones with all of you! Welcome to the crafty fam! God bless you all!

Instead of pouring straight down into the jar tilt the jar and pour down the side, that way the paints won't get all mixed and muddy-looking, try using less paint, mixing so much like that is a waste, plus it could get very muddy looking with all those colors.... I try to use no more than four colors in my vases😁❤️

I love it! But I have an idea...maybe try a heat gun because it can dry it faster before all the design runs down AND you can use the heat gun to help design as well.

great first start! I watch both of those artists and you couldn't have picked two better ones. I have plenty of bottles just need to get started, this may be just the push I needed. One thing I did learn with the floetrol if you put some type of strainer over the bottle it will help to eliminate the "boogers" that came out. I think they sell them on amazon. Keep crafting.

Tilt your jar as you're adding the paint, and pour it down the side, should look like rings in there then pour from that same side to the bottle that you poured into the cup, if that makes sense :-)

I'm thinking it's the gravity of it all because you know you have to leave the bottle like that it's just going to keep going downward. If it were a flat surface it may have turned out differently. I wonder though if instead of a dirty pour like that all the colors in one cup if you just poured one cup at a time a regular flood a little white a little pink a little blue you know what I'm saying? Years ago I wanted to do this before it became a thing on the internet I swear I must have been hooked into the creative hivemind of superconsciousness because I thought about doing it and just never did and then three years later it hit the internet like a wave haha but I have vinyl that I paint on and I thought of doing a flood on vinyl I just never got around to building something to catch the paint with. I think that's the next thing I'm going to try. But good job💖👏👏

And now that I finished watching the video haha I should always learn to comment at the end but I get all excited, but I love the black white and gold bottle that is so pretty. And the blue one too. Mixed media girl is the first poor artist that I followed also and that's where I learned some of what I know from pouring paint. So what do you use to seal your bottles? I think you did a really good job💖👍

😂I appreciate it, so don't worry. Mixed media girl is awesome! With all the fluid artists on RU-vid, what are the odds right? lol, and I used Krylon sealer. The glitter blast one. I haven't found one I really like yet that's why I never mention the ones I use. I can't wait to find one that's user-friendly and works. 🙏💖🤗

@DIYNoNeedToCry
@DIYNoNeedToCry Год назад
I used way too much paint. Lol, I figured it out by the end of the video. Although that gave me an idea. Most fluid painters use a solid color base (wet) before pouring. Like a primer but wet. I should have done that too! Thanks for the idea!! 🙌🙏❤️

Love the video. Interesting bottle stand. The bright colors and the thicker paita gave you better results. Check out Mixed Media Girl. She paints vases and gets them to turn out with beautiful rings on them might help some with ideas on how to pour. She also lets the drips from her vases flow onto a canvas so it's two projects in one. I commented while watching. 😆 Molly is awesome too.

What is the flood stuff. I can't make it out
@DIYNoNeedToCry
@DIYNoNeedToCry 2 года назад
It's called flood floetrol. "By improving both flow and leveling, Floetrol makes paint easier to work with. You can get those large cells more easily, even without an additional additive like silicone. And by improving flow, it makes pouring that much more interesting. Flow improvement also helps the paint adhere to canvas"
