Unfortunately, I don’t know the answer to either one of your questions. I did catch a few white bass, but no hybrid. Also just brought Shiners no cast net on that trip. I think I’m going to go back soon when the water is not as high.

Go to the John severe boat ramp and head up river to the spill way. It’s technically the start of Cherokee lake.

It’s way more aggressive right now than normal. Just a ton of rain lately.

Went there for the first time this summer and am afraid to go back. Got caught in that heavy flow on the right side of the spillway and almost got the kayak sucked under. Talked to a local who's grandfather lost a boat to that spot. It is nothing to mess around with. Glad you had luck and made it back safe.

Man that is scary. I’m glad you are still alive. I definitely have a healthy fear of the spillway. I never get too close and always back pedal while reeling in fish. It’s a powerful area.

There have been several people die there, some where up in beech creek and fall over the falls, there isn’t a sign you Can see above there

Nice. Good job. I've been busting my arms off at Bluff city. Been out there every morning at 3- 4am. Haven't caught a good fish since mid may. Been throwing monster glide and swim bait. Tough going without a boat or kayak. Will be travelling to Norris and maybe Cherokee next week. Will get a beast then under the dams. That's the type of fishing I'm used to from years ago in Nashville. Good luck to you Michael, keep plugging away. If I get a good one will post video....
