This video was hilarious Raina 🤣 because it's funny seeing you try to catch the fish 🐟 without knowing how to actually fish 🎣 , for one the fish 🐟 know if they take the bait they are going to be on the dinner plate 🤣 and secondly you have to bobb the bait up and down to get their attention when you are fishing with live bait my friend ..
Hi Raina!!! I got my Rainas "Mystery Box" the other day. It got here real fast. Yeah...you got a fish. I never fished...my dear husband ♡ always did. That was a fun place to eat at. The food looked super yummy. Great Video my friend!!!...🦋
Freshest fish dish possible. I love whole fried fish. The crispy skin and tender meat is delicious. You put that with rice and vegetables and it’s great.
Eating is an experience and what you did was to place the "fun" back into eating !! Fresh fish are the best to eat. Thanks! We are all following your adventures in Japan. I'm still hoping you get to food challenge with a Sumo wrestler, now that would be something !!
That restaurant offered such a unique experience with having people catch their own fish. There were a lot of big fish in there too. The food looked amazing and it was obviously delicious too lol. I truly loved being allowed to see this uique experience. Beautiful as always
Poor Raina she was going for the big one but the fish were having none of it. But she finally got her fresh fish, so unique and fun restaurant experience.
Shrimp naturally scale the bottom of the sea. Glad she gave you a sinker! They wouldnt grab the shrimp because they were floating. This is such a cool place. Enjoy Japan. I've always wanted to go there.
That’s so much fun fishing with your new found friend. What a concept for a restaurant. At least you get to have a little fun catching your food. So cool!
I just love you and Mimi! Just a friendly tip the next time you go fishing. You don't want the fish to see the hook! So you have to cover the hook with the bait.weave the shrimp on the hook, one should do. Good job!!❤
t's called fishing and not catching. I grew up with it and camping, then cooking them over the fire. Somehow it tastes better when you catch it yourself. Sometimes all you catch on the boat is a buzz and a tan. But the point is just relaxing and being with loved ones and friends.
What a cool little idea, and I'd be up to trying it whenever I next go to Japan. With your natural kitty fangs, it's no wonder you love fish so much! The cheek meat was what your friend meant on the fish head--every Asian person I know raves about that part the most. Keep the Japan videos coming!
oh my gosh that walk along the river is awesome. as much as i love a brilliant blue sky, overcast days bring out natural colors with no shadows. works best for photography with more central light metering with no under or over exposure.
and you would not have that great reflection on a sunny day. would be interesting if you print a photo of that area but frame it upside down for a surreal effect.
actually look at the treeline as a horizon that goes across the entire scene with not to much sky and subject in the fore ground and the picture makes your eye look all along the entire picture keeping the person interested in the picture. 2/3 subject 1/3 background. might have been a simple snapshot but kind of a perfect composition. i think you would be good with photography and could be another web page to explore. maybe some modeling photograhy as your fashion photos are good.
I love tempura shrimp! The fishing for your dinner is pretty cool 😁 We have places here in Florida where they will cook what you brought in from a fresh catch.
Fantastic job catching the fish Raina, it looks like such a fun experience and i was so excited for you when you finally caught it yay. I hope you had so much fun girl! Also all of that food looked delicious, and Now I'm hungry for some fish and shrimp. So excited for more videos, can't wait because I love coming along with you through your videos, it's so fun ❤❤ Love you and your videos!!
Omg that’s so funny!!!! That I went to that exact same place…. It was sooooo much fun. I have my Japan video too on my page but it’s mainly pics and not as good as yours… but it took me forever to catch mine… it was easier for my daughter to catch her shrimp ….I went for the fish that were in the bin beside you fishing !!!! It didn’t take me 30 minutes tho lmao
The bigger fish probably require bigger bait. Also assuming they’ve been fed and kept in the tank for so long they are aware of what is going on. The small fish being caught must be new fish they release into the tank
I love the fact that most restaurants (in Asia) are very affordable to average people. A similar restaurant like this in the US, I would be afraid to go in, because I will go broke afterward.
I WENT THERE WHEN I WAS IN JAPAN…. That exact place!!!! It was so much fun!!!!!! My daughter enjoyed catching her shrimp…. I have a video on my page too!!!
love that the child was peeking over your shoulder wondering with curiosity what you are doing. that child will remember that and maybe in ten years she will be influenced by raina is crazy with her own performance art. Also how fun was it to see the birthday party. english language seems very prevalent in japan and i think it would be an interesting country to live in so much contrast to usa. and english language with japanese language on menus is probably a good thing for business. same thing in europe as most young people speak two or three language where most usa just speak english. i use google translate often but cannot spell in asian letters. or cyrilic. i find the latin alphabet close to english alphabet to learn another language and it should be taught as second language in school. we are neighbors and would help with comunication.
fish cheek is kind of like a loin part of a fish. there is some controversy about it being passed as a more expensive part of fish but i dont remember. minnesota and wisconsin are known for fishing and so many lakes. panfish like sunfish and perch are almost like eating potato chips. and lake superior has salmon and massive schools of smelt where they have smelt frys. they are like a sardine sized fish. door county area of wisconsin has fish boils that are kind of a group event. you tube has some examples. kind of a change from your usual coastal events. the north woods in the fall is cozy before winter comes for the next 5 or 6 months. Also saint paul minnesota has the highest population of hmong in north america and several hmong food malls.
restaurants and cafes in japan seem to be very experience oriented and a substantial meal. The previous show of the dancing crab seemed overly stimulating kind of like rain forest cafe or something. fun but places like that seem like the experience is more important than the quality of food. still great fun. I also notice that with authentic asian food mouth feel and a variety of texture is a big factor. I think european based north american diet is more bland and soft. not a bad thing just interesting observation.
You should have posted them banging the drums and singing the song when you catch a fish… unless they don’t do that anymore!!!! They let you use tongs to catch the fish??!!! What the heck!!!! They made my daughter catch them on a hook. I have a pic of it in one of my videos… I’m mad cuz she had to catch 6 on a hook
So sad to see the cruelty of Japanese people allowing fish to be tortured captured and contained in an environment that is strange to them then allowing people to fish them like this It’s cruel
I love this concept. Even if people are sad for the fish, those of us that enjoy eating fish should be able to respect the reality of how they are harvested.
