I'm planning on doing a three piece video, to give as much detail as I can about this process without making the video too long or boring. Stay tuned for the new desk setup, coming soon!
Fake reverb on the empty room, I recently soundproofed a place used for studio work at least 6 time as your room with a horrible reverb but your small room reverb time is double as mine was. But thanks for the idea with the wood elements, I am working now on a new project, I will use it.
Why don't put proper corner bass absorbers because there is totally free space to do that? With acoustics it's quantity over quality. When you learn how the sound works then it's way more easy to treat and that means thick panels all over you room.
I don't know where you get your endless creativity from..can I borrow some bro? 😂 Seriously, awesome job with the new studio space and congrats on the move!!
@@EdwardSmithMusic Doesn't look like Rockwool... looks like fiibreglass insulation you use in your ceiling... and you should probably use a higher density too for acoustic treatment.
Hi. Unfortunately I ordered the trellis panels in South Africa. I had a look in the US, but it's hard to find the exact ones. Others that seem similar are also pretty expensive.
Greetings Bro Good video... I have a question that is a bit out of context. When connecting a preamp to the Audient sound card, the gain of the Audient must be set to zero and control gain and out from the preamp??? Or should the gain of the Audient be in half and give less gain to the preamp??? Please explain to me, teacher, enlighten me... Thanks in advance, I hope you can help me. Blessings.
Im sorry to tell you, ur acoustic treatment does not do anything except from killing the reverb a little bit, i see no low end treatment, no real bass trap. Good acoustic treatment is about balancing the frequency spectrum , its not about having a room with less reverb.
Hey are you back from the States...bcoz that is definitely S.A!!! Still using American measurements even though your tape measure is in metres...you have to satisfy that American audience right bcoz CPM 😊
Hey ! I was wandering if you can make a video about HI-FI HEADPHONE, and how such headphone can influence how we do miusic production, I mean that there are people with 1k - 2k worth of headphones (es: AUDEZE./HIFIMAN/MEZE…) Can sometime this audiophile headphone make a difference in a music production studio ? Are they worth it ? Those people should invest in this rather than the beyerdynamic- Audio Technica- Neumann- Thanks ❤
the panels are so thin they wont absorb in the lows and mids, and the "befor after-test" sounds like you added some extra reverb on it xD but hey, it looks very nice!
It's a real shame you didn't let the viewers hear your empty room dry without that ridiculous reverb you added to the video clip, that size room just wouldn't sound like that.
I'm curious about the EXACT same. It's like he partially treated the wall and placed a set of reflective wooden slat panels right on top of them... Even his "Clap tests" are closer to the corner (further from center of room).
How can you test for this kind of stuff ? Im currently in the process of treating my room but i want to know exactly what frequencies i need to be treating and what my problem frequencies are. Also want to remove the reverb.
@@EdwardSmithMusic Hell yeah! Also thanks for these kinds of videos by the way like how you included the room dimensions cuz surprisingly lot of people do not
Been thinking of doing something for my 6x6 apartment windows the same but never thought of the hinge design. Not to intrusive on the wall and works. Might have to do this my self.
Glad I stumbled across your channel. You are my go to guy for mic comparisons. Love the wood panel idea over the main wall! Would you be so kind to share where you got those panels please? I’d love to do something similar.
The bags of green isolation wool came from Home Depot? Could you please put a link to it or give us the name and model number. Rockwool comes in branded packaging. What is this green fibrous insulation roll in a clear bag?
in one scene your panel is simple, then you add insulation and it shows multiple layers to the panel. Atleast show what you added ? 4:00 is not the same panel frame as 4:12 clearly things added to the frame. SMH
The wood on the back walls of studios are diffusers. They're created specifically for the room they're going in and are used to prevent flutter echo and comb filtering
