@@SimplyCarThings oh im not saying you did....i was.just throwing it out there...i have a 535i xdrive and plan on hetting 1of the 2 tunes....MHD OR BOOTMOD.....
@@SimplyCarThings no problem. Been watching the videos for a long time and was pumped to see you finally got the m4, looks great. I went with the SAKHIR Orange f80.
Dude I also just flashed bootmod3 today on my f80 m3 and this thing is insane! I put the burble on the most aggressive setting for sport+ and man...you gotta try it lol. It's incredible. This car used to put a smile on my face before, but now it has me rolling with laughter it's so much fun
i got a m4 for sale 2015 with 21k miles driver package , executive package, winter package, edc, with catless dp and stage 1 dinan tune and hre flowform wheels rebuilt crank hub done comes with all parts to go stage 2 n.i.b recent ppi from bmw located in spokane wa rebuilt title tho :( 30k cash
Recommend you get NGK iridium spark plugs installed; if you have not did so. It will help with your gas mileage and also smooth out the surge that you get from the stock Bosch plugs. I'm currently gapped at .020 and I've been on stage 2 for over 24k.
Good times! The S55 has an old-school turbo powerband! That's one of the coolest things about it IMHO, modern turbo cars have tiny turbos that fall off at high RPMs. Its rare for something to make top end power with turbos these days, its kinda like a late 90's skyline GT-R.
This video takes me back to when you flashed your 335i, your first reaction was similar! Loving the series, keep up the great work. My next car will definitely be an F series M3 lol, rediculous cars for the money!
Omar, I am a fairly new subscriber(~2 months old) and am LOVING these videos, please keep them coming!!! In another video will you dive deeper into your Bootmod3 settings that you refer to at 5:15 in the video?
This video reminds me of wen I upgraded my turbos in my n54 to stage 2 turbos man it was so overwhelming to drive so much power midrange right through to the top end with m3 arms and suspension upgrades it was a weapon
I know this is a video from 2 years ago and love your content. but hot damn. it's bootmod, not bootmodE, mod as in modification. few... had to get that out there. you're awesome! keep posting awesome content my man!
That was beautiful to watch brother. A pivotal moment in a man's life when he dreams of serious power & refinement - and gets his cherry busted. Welcome to the dark side my man. When ever times are tough - remember it. It will make you smile again, I promise.
Nice video. I’m loving the content. Please do the gts transmission flash and do a video on the differences and if you could with that video and a video like this, set a go pro showing your gauges so we can see the accelerations, the upshifts and downshifts ect.
Hi there, I’m your fan, your videos are something else, you explain in a way thats so easy to understand everything, kudos to you Kevin , your videos awesome, keep up the good work, I’m from RECIFE, in Brazil South America and i really enjoy your video, haven’t done bootmod3 yet, I’ve used other ones that local in Brasil to remap my car, but I think I’m gonna try it, down here in Brazil and see how it is, just waiting to get my next car for it.
I did follow the video you were speaking about you filmed earlier . I watched you video top and underpinning as the mechanic explained to you the procedure and the different things he was doing for installing the pin crank
If your temps are staying stable take it to the track as tuned👍Everything feels faster on the street. Make sure to test it hard on a hot day before you get to the track.
I've been on a VF stage 2 full exhaust , csf intercooler and full carbon intake for a while...i currently have 83,000miles... no issues, no crankhub upgrades, i downshift. Do 40 , 60 80 rolls ... not one issue
I agree with Omar, he's got the right mentality in especially since he's tuning the M4, It's better safe than sorry to have the crank hub fix. I mean grenading an S55 is cost more than an arm and a leg, lol.
I feel it's far more exaggerated than reality... in world challenge gt racing mildy modded m4 roadrace and shift aggressively all day...tuned to at least a stage 1 open exhaust level...the big difference is a e85 tune is far more aggressive because of how well e85 burns an the tune is to much for the s55...
Love your channel man! Glad to see you enjoying your M as you grow with your channel. If I can make a future video request, can we get a custom burble video. I know a lot of people have trouble finding that perfect burble ratio. Personally I’m in the market looking for pops but I just can’t get it right. Maybe with your expertise you would be able to find that perfect custom burble tune 😄
Love the videos! I just purchased my 2018 M4c F83 in October and its bone stock. Very similar to you, I've had many other BMW but never one this strong or even track focus for this matter. Is your F82 bone stock with this tune? If not what Bolt on of the such do you have on it. I am guessing it would be fair to test your vehicle with the Dragy before and after tune to see the changes.
If you really wanna feel power get a custom e85 tune from Paul. I was stage 2 93 for 1 week then flashed to Paul’s E85 and holy shit! My car is almost done with PS2 and PI and I have a “kill map” by him ready to flash when I get it back :)
hey nice video by the way, sorry for asking this since Im new to this tuning stuff, can you please explain what stage 2 means and what are the parts that are being change and upgraded?
It’s like Christmas morning huh, I almost do do that too bm3 stage2 after my crank hud doned but here in LA area specially Hollywood my neighborhood I can’t go fast like that, but we’ll my engine is ready anytime I can buy bm3
Bro i cant wait to see you get an e85 map/tune on your car, when you do it will lose grip on 3RD GEAR!! That's with fresh tires too!! Bro the power becomes insane! Personally I own an e93 M3 because I just can't get enough of it's intoxicating exhaust sound with that v8 🤤 But to make it faster you need to supercharge it and it becomes HELLA expensive! But your m4 with an e85 pump and tune will DESTROY most competition on the streets. A hellcat will become a kitty cat 😂 Im happy for you bro keep doing your thing 👍
Lol the m4 will surely be quick but it still wont be a stock hellcat esp not top end. And it wont beat a stock c7 z06 either. Imagine if they tune their cars hmmmmm.
Congrats on your new 🚀 mode 👍🏼 Not easy to see on video how it pulls, but looking at how is flying that little thing you have hanging of your rear view mirror I can tell you’re hauling ass bro!!! 😉
Awesome this is exactly what I’m planning. I originally planned a tune just to remove cold start . But if I’m paying for a tune... I picked up drop in filters (bmc) , charge pipes, charge cooler , catless downpipes and plan the stage 2 91 as well. Looking forward to it !! I’m assuming you can go back anytime and configure the options on that map ?
Love the channel man! I’m lost with going bootmod3 or MHD on my 340i would love to see a comparison or informative video on it or if anyone can help me out in the comments haha
Did you upgrade your intercooler for stage 2 ? ive got decat downpipes on mine and worried about stage 2 on the car cause of overheating and I live in a hot climate town. should I upgrade my intercooler or will the stock intercooler handle it ?
f82 resale value is so insane if you are the 2nd owner u will barely lose 10-20% over 4-5 years, originall owner takes a larger hit but damn..... such a good value
If you think thats fast.. Just wait till you go e85 with donwpipes. You will get familiar with the performance after a couple of months and look for more power. Congratulations on your build.
Congrats,...quick question,...How do compare the ride in the F82 over the your previous BMW? I asked because I see that your car has the 19'" tires vs the 20s,...of which, I drove 2 M3s,...one was a Comp,...one wasn't...they both had the 20s,...and the ride was very harsh! I mean,...buck-board harsh! Edit: I can tell you're holding back on hitting the "go fast button"! Better to be safe than sorry....
I definitely like the smaller wheel sizes! significantly better ride quality, i'm actually on 18's at the moment. Forged, monoblock Volk Racing ZE40's, love them they're 18lbs a piece too so super light
Hi Omar, quick calibration question. If say experience of BootMod3 in Stage 2 is a 10 (with downpipes and all) and plain stock is a 1, where would BootMod3 Stage 1 93 gas with a stock car land? 5, 6? I want to do this Flash on my X3 M40i which I drive on a daily basis in CA (so no downpipes for me), but want to know what I am getting for the ~$600 of cost. Except for spacers, the car is stock. The idea is to make my relatively dull 101/280 commute a bit more fun.
My M4 sounds great with the burbles. Idk why but some days it's loud af like gunshots lol. What would happen if i did a stage 2 tune with out any of the recommended hardware installed on my car? Will i be fine? Cuz I have a stage 1 tune rn and I wanna take it to the next level already, but I dont have highflowing downpipes lol
Did you already have stage 1 tune installed or did you go from stock tune directly to stage 2?? I’m curious how much difference is there between a stage 1 and stage 2?
@@SimplyCarThings oh sorry didn’t see it! Thank you for responding! I want to get a tune but I don’t want to blow up my motor without changing the crank hub🤦♂️
I don't understand how a 'tune' can be stage 1 stage 2 or stage whatever. A remapped ecu should be done at a reliable, and quality tuning specialist, and on a dyno. The mapper should look carefully at many different aspects of the engine and it's sensors/readings, and adjust timing, boost, fuel, etc to keep things safe and reliable. There is no such thing as a 'stage 2' tune. By fitting upgraded mechanical parts, such as a sports cat, or decat, fuel pump, injectors, turbo, etc you can tune the engine to take advantage of the new parts, and make more power. Any engine is just an air pump. To make more power, you need to get more air in & out of it. And with more air, you can mix more fuel, and get a bigger explosion with each stroke. It really is that simple.
These are off the shelf maps with relatively conservative increases in the parameters you mentioned. They are designed to be applicable to a variety of cars and are safe to run without the need for a custom dyno tune. Hence why hundreds of users have ran these maps for tens of thousands of miles with no issues. Bootmod3 also allows for custom tuning, users can pull datalogs and send them remotely to a specialist or go in person and perform a full calibration with a dyno. The “stages” are designed for off the shelf maps with each “stage” increasing the power further. And bm3 does also state the exact modifications/fueling required to run each map. Hope that helps
@@SimplyCarThings I kind-of understand now. The stage 1 stage 2 thing, is just this particular company's way of separating a mild map from a more powerful one ? Personally, I can't see the point. If somebody can afford to buy an M4, then they can afford to have it mapped properly by a tuning specialist on a dyno. Hell, I can only afford a low-rent M140i, but I could still afford a £450 custom tune to get the best out of the standard engine (now running 411bhp), safely. Next stop is a sports cat, XHP3 gearbox map, and a further engine map to take advantage of the sports cat, should be good for 460+ bhp then. If I could afford an M4, I certainly wouldn't risk a Bootmod3 map, I'd take it to a good reputation specialist mapper.
How much was the crank hub in total including labor I’m looking to get into a f80 m3 but I heard about the crank hub problem when you start modifying it
I would contact Shah the owner of SSR @shahbrah on Instagram or just give the shop a call and they'll give you a quote. I was given a sponsorship rate for the videos I made so i'm not entirely sure what the normal cost is
hey so I have bootmod3 already stage 2 on my n55 my buddy has a n55 too could we both use the same account and connect both of our cars to the tune at the same time?
