Hello, nice video, thanks for sharing. pls can you tell me what is "lambda changes" which is listed in the description of the version of BM3 you chose to install?
My car is under warranty. If I run a tune on my car, can I revert the ecu back to stock and will the dealership know if I’ve flashed the ecu with boostmod3?
I definitely still plan on getting it done, no issues with stage 1 so far, but i also dont drive the car everyday and for track days i will flash to stock power levels
Trying to flash my 2018 m3 with a stage 1 but me DME does not match up, but I shouldn’t have to bench unlock it because the car was manufactured before 2020 so I’m not sure on how to solve this problem
Once flashed, do you have to flash the car every time you start the engine or does it stay flashed until you change it? Can you flash back to completely original stock with no concerns for services? (I do not have warranty, just curious if they could tell)
As with any tunes, no need to flash every time you start the car. That would suck. Dealer could probably tell you have a tune if this doesn’t reset the flash counter afterwards. But they would only care if you are still under warranty.
Custom tune can squeeze the most out of your vehicle while ots tunes are just tunes that have worked well on other cars like yours. I prefer ots any tune on most bmw cars is enough and you can customize a lot yourself.
New to the German cars so I’m still learning a lot about their engines but I have a stock 650i xdrive with the n63. Would I be ok the run this tune while completely stock or is it best to wait for mods then tune?
Hi. How long ago was this video and have u had any issues since. I looking to also do the same flashes but still on stock crank. Are u on stock crank at the time or still? Thanks
attach the red cable to the positive (red) terminal and the black cable to the car's grounding point. plug the battery charger in and it should automatically start working. BMW has specified points for this in the engine bay since the battery is located in the trunk
just advice...... don't tell us how much time it takes to flash, and what it could look like to flash... just do it on video and show us. again, love your content. keep at it my friend. just trying to help!!!\
The cold start is specifically to raise the catalytic converters' temperature for emissions purposes. If you delete the cats, you can disable the heating cycle for a more quiet start-up.
