I think Mizuno is on to something with getting into the RU-vid golf world. So many viewers are watching and when you do such a thorough fitting with helpful people it really leaves a good impression. This is slightly more relatable to my level of golf than PGA pros so I am more likely to be influenced by Grant or one of the good good guys than someone who is so far above my level. Great work Mizuno. Hopefully these clubs will propel Grant into an entirely new realm with his game!
Its kool.. but there mini tours and some status without free clubs. And this spotlight. Happy for GOOD GOOD... dont take negative anyone just stating factz
I always wonder if they got different offers from different companies to be sponsored by and why they would chose mizuno but after seeing this and the care and feel of important they show grant is just really great! Happy for you dude seems like you’re getting taking care of
I'd imagine they get all kinds of sponsorship type offers. And if you're going to take one from a golf club manufacturer, Mizuno is probably the one most people are gonna take just because they have been considered tops in irons for a long time, and the last couple years they've brought their woods and wedges up to the level of the big dogs. Ping is an odd one because they don't really seem to rely on this type of stuff for marketing and they don't seem to mind, apparently they're still to this day a family run business. But that would be why you see so little Ping stuff out there on Vlogs etc. Yet you will see Ping everywhere in the real world because it's also great stuff like Mizuno.
That was very interesting, as someone who have been using Mizuno for a while I'm happy to see how they really wants to help you. Seems like a good match!
It`s so great to see you can have all the tech support you need to see you playing better golf overall. Really looking forward to enjoy even more the golf challenges with the good good team
Great looking swing Grant and I will add that Chris and the Mizuno guys are awesome to work with. They are very passionate about golf and dedicated to top notch customer service. You’re very fortunate to have them backing you.
Every bit of this filmed at my work! Loved seeing the grind in person grant. Don’t forget to let the boys know I can get you all out here to play a match once good good comes to GA. We would love to have you out here at tpc sugarloaf again!!
Just took a tour with my hs golf team of the mizuno center in brazelton and was lead by Chris who went to my highschool and gave us a personal tour. Really cool to see the manual detail that they put in to customize their clubs
Been looking forward to this video. Awesome! This is fascinating. I love seeing the ball flights and not the sim on this fitting. I will probably watch this multiple times:)
Man, Grant's swing is so smooth!!! Graceful and powerful!!!! Grant has that Fred Couples swag!!! Super cool guy with one of the prettiest swings you'll ever see!!
The Mizuno guys are the best in the biz! I personally game the Fujikura Ventus Black in my driver and I absolutely LOVE that thing. Can't wait to see the new sticks out on the course in your future videos.
This was awesome! I love my MMCs. Absolutely an amazing club. I am definitely looking into a Mizuno driver, 3 wood and hybrid, to complete my first set of Mizuno clubs. I am sold and will never play another brand again. Thank you for the content Grant. May the birdies be plentiful!
I love how gyroscopes seem so exciting and new when introduced into the golf world. The application by Mizuno is really nice though. I would love to get this kind of custom fitting.
In my opinion once he gets onto the course, and nervy, the fact that it's set upright is gonna turn it over drastically. I believe he'd play best on course with the face adjusted slightly open or square.
All i have to say is that I've used that new Mizuno shaft optimizer 2.0 that reads lie angle, and it is awesome. As i always tell every1, swing speed is not even close to the only factor for determining shaft selection.
Mizuno caught my eye in the late 80s or early 90s with a gold shaft mst 9 degree driver. I could just rip it. That was high school/college golf. Now 2022 I wouldn't hesitate to go with Mizuno. I'm going to go get dad's old Mizuno blades out of the basement and tee those puppies up. Oh and Grant you have a great swing. Thanks Grant and all the good good friends and family. You are making golf fun again.
That was really cool to see how they fit you. I was just fitted for irons only and even just playing on a simulator the ball flight and yardage gains are insane. Really looking forward to seeing what these changes do for you. Also who does your camera work? They are really steady handed and do a great job
Love the video and the channel, just got fitted today for a new set, ended up 221 down to 6 iron, 223 4 & 5 with the 223 loft weakened to match the 221, kbs tour 140 X 1 inch longer with the t22 to match, can't wait 👍
Love these videos. I have a ping 410 and it is heavy too. Really want a lower spinning driver but they all feel so light by comparison. Wish I was near a good fitter and the $1000 it would likely cost to perfectly dial in a new driver, aftermarket shaft, and fitting .
Great video. Nice info and shows why fitting is so important! Your stock driver swing is smooth with controlled tempo, but it definitely seems like sometimes you tend to swing a lot harder and faster during good good weeks with the other guys around and on Sat matches with Garrett where you all really ripping into it. Would be curious what your average club head speeds are like with a slightly lighter driver shaft now I bet you get a nice bump.
Wish you had launch data, but also appreciate that you were so descriptive about what you felt/saw. It’s easy to get bogged down in numbers, but at the end of the day what feels right makes a difference as well. I would be willing to bet that the ping was heavy to the extent that it was dropping behind, pushing path out to the right and the Mizuno you can better neutralize path.
So jealous man. That would be a fun day! I'm about to get fitted for some new clubs at TPC Sawgrass. Love their fitting guy there Josh. I may jump ship from Callaway to Mizuno finally after 25 years of playing Callaways.
Crazy how you stripe it when you're just casually swinging compared to when you're in a match with your swooping draw. Look forward to you getting some W's. Top Notch!
Mizuno makes the best looking and feeling irons by far IMO. Never really have gotten to swing their woods much though I have heard some good stuff. Love my JPX 900 forged
Your buttery swing deserves that buttery Mizuno feel! Great Mizuno golf bag too, Grant. I have old MP-58 Mizuno irons but I still love them! It will be hard to give them up someday.
Just for everyone's information, the guy behind Grant at the end of the video, Austin, who needed the glove, is an MLB baseball player for the Atlanta Braves. His name is Austin Riley, just thought it was cool to see a professional baseball player getting fitted for golf clubs. Love ya Grant
I had to rewatch your opening drive. Those homes you were passing were amazing!! Good stuff as always. Hopefully the Mizuno folks didn’t beg you to swing another brand! 😂
I have always bought off the rack and adjusted my swing to the club……..who knew you could actually adjust the club to your swing………I need a fitting…………great video
Great video Hope you really like your clubs looking forward seeing you and Tig play in match play. I have a question if a person get fit for their swing at that time and start to improve over 6 months to a year do they need to get refit for the clubs or new set of clubs because they swing has changed, or improved? Thanks
Hey man. Got a question. I was about to order your same set up in irons but was wondering if you had the blades bent strong to catch up to the stronger lofts on the cavity backs. And if so what did you bend them to? Also did you like the shafts you had installed? Always been a x100 guy but thinking of changing. Just want the lower launch like you. Thanks for the info in advance. Keep rocking it bro! Love the channel.
I have been a Mizuno guy for the past 4 years. Highest quality irons I have played and they sound SOOO good when you hit them pure. I can't recommend Mizuno enough to anyone looking for new irons. Go swing them! You'll love them!
The 921 Hot Metal/Pro is on the top of my list for new irons. Ive been playing for a few months and have a used set of Stratas that are good but not great. And I keep hearing great things about Mizuno irons and their feel. Golf is just so damn expensive lol but I really do love it.
Just had an iron fitting done today. When I got to the mizuno pro 223, in my first slow practice backswing, I knew this was the right club instantly, and proceeded to hit some crisp shots, few bad swings, but they hit right, mmmmmmmm.........
