I Flew Canada's WORST Airline 

What Airline Should I fly next? BEST OR WORST?✈

We flew with Flair to Abbotsford last week , and we were delayed 10 hours and they didn't tell us anything, then on our way back we were delayed an hour and once again no one told us anything.

I just want to say, I’ve flown Flair 3 times and only had one minor delay of one hour due to a crew member getting off another flight which was late due to weather. If you understand the redirections and fees, it’s truly a bearable airline

I flew Flair on a flight simulator once, and accidentally nosedived into the runway. I guess it was accurate?

I actually went on this airline a week ago, and to be honest with you, it’s better than Air Canada. The only problem is when I arrived, they just gave up the baggage and I still haven’t received any suitcases. Edit: We finally got our suitcases back after 2 months

I was with Flair for my round trip to Calgary, and since we were a group, the customer service was fine for me and for the price, it compared pretty well with WestJet and Air Canada. So if you’re on a budget, consider flying Flair.

Flair in vancouver and abbostford are almost never delayed. I watch flight traffic and their departure times are almost spot on. I work in Abbotsford at the airport and I will see them come in and stay for an hour and then leave again on time. must be a ontario thing.

Don’t blame Flair Airlines, it started exactly the same way as Spirit did: a charter airline. And making a charter airline into a scheduled airline is not easy.

I flew flair last May and the service/flight was actually really enjoyable! No delays, the 737 MAX 8 is a very quiet, smooth and efficient aircraft and I would definitely fly with them again!

Flair delayed me by over 4 hours on a 1.5 hour flight and only gave me "drinks and snacks" which was a granola bar and a 250 ml bottle of water.

That overshooting the runway was at my local K-W (YKF) airport. Lucky that the ground in front of the runway is flat - as it could have been a landing similar to the infamous Toronto Air France landing, from 2005. I see Flair flying above my house everyday and often wonder how is to fly that airline. Lots of friends have gone with Flair out west and to Orlando and they say that once you get going (yes - ONCE YOU GET GOING) it's like any other budget airline. I was curious what kind of a hotel accommodation the airline offered to the stranded clients, but I guess being from Toronto - you did not ask for it . I'm going to watch your video on Spirit Airlines, which in my opinion is the worst airline in North America. I have some personal beef with them. They ruined one of my short trips to Myrtle Beach, with not much of a compensation. When I was working as a travel agent - I was always discouraging clients to use that airline. That's a whole different story than Delta putting you in a French speaking hotel after the whole plane stayed on the Dutch side of the island... after delaying so long, it was impossible to get another flight out. Then, bringing you back the next day and still delaying your flight so long that you miss all options for your connecting flights and being stuck overnight in another city.

I had the same “next day delay” because Southwest didn’t have any flights out of Vegas so we had to go home and wait till the next day

I flew on flair airlines in 2021, it seemed perfect to me. But the customer service needed some work. At least they got us there safely, no harm was done.

This is happening to us right now. They even cancelled the hotel vouchers after we checked in and we were stuck with the hotel bill. Its a nightmare. The flight been rescheduled 3 times

It is hard to make a final conclusion using "2" sample sizes. I have had terrible experiences on Air Canada and West Jet while also have great experiences. I know South West in the US gets a lot of flack, but the one time I flew them, we had an amazing experience.

I’m taking flair to Vancouver from Waterloo. The airport where that plane overshot the runway. It’s my first time ever flying by myself so hopefully since Waterloo is a smaller airport it’ll be fine. I’m in a wheelchair too so something better not happen to my chair

I’ve flown Flair before and it was actually pretty nice, the plane was clean and the crew was super helpful.. the flight did get delayed about a half hour but that happens to all airlines everyday

Flair did this to me from Ottawa to Vancouver. They delayed and delayed and delayed until they finally cancelled - they rescheduled it for 2 days later and said we wouldn’t get on that flight. Had to buy a 1 way for 1500 with west jet. Was a nightmare

As a Ramp agent for Flair, theres so many factors that play role and delays. For example , maybe the aircraft arrived late at its destination before coming to Toronto. Maybe the maintenance crew came across a problem that prevented the aircraft from flying. Sometimes these things happen , and it's not a simple task to finish. Most of the times aircraft gets Towed to Hangar so the problem gets fixed before its next departure. We always get a TOW To Hangar from our Cancun and Puerto Vallarta arrival. For most of the times the aircraft gets TOWed to Hangar to provide better maintenance. So before you guys judge the airline it's self. Think about all the things that plays role behind the scenes. As a Ramp agent Lead I hate delays to , because it's never us that causes the delay.

I've had pretty good luck with Flare. Nice option when something comes up last minute and you don't want to pay an arm and a leg to get a flight. But alas, in the end, one gets what one pays for when using a ULCC.

Flair's MAX 8 interior is almost the same as in our Czech Smartwings airplanes! Same signs, same features, same color LEDs on the ceiling :D Only not that bad

the "personal baggage" is standard free in canada its meant for women who carry a purse so i just took the dimentions of the personal baggage slot and condenced my old broken luggage to fit in it and haven't had any issues. but then again i always get the crippled perks of skipping secerity extra free checked baggage for "medical equipment" (a shower chair) because hotels arnt required to provide them for the accessible rooms

Yep, I've been a little suspicous about Flair. But the difference in price from Air Canada is enormous, so I'd give AC a raspberry AS WELL, and there aren't many other choices apart from walking.

Eric, you are one of my favorite youtubers. I just flew kn Swoop Airlines, people also say that is one of the worst ULCC airlines in Canada. Please give it a try! Delays, Check in Issues, Legroom is trash, Food Prices are overpriced. (3.99 for a Dasani Bottle)

Without flair I would only get to see my parents a few more times in my life. With flair, I see them every birthday, long-weekend, holiday and vacation. Sure there are downsides, but the upsides are priceless.

I actually flew to Mexico a month ago but I’m from Canada and I didn’t go to that flight, I went to WestJet but my neighbours from my neighbourhood were behind me

yeah couple months ago me and my family of 5 rode flair airlines to vancouver from calgary (and same thing back), It was a hassel overall, and the planes litterally felt like the would fall apart midair. (it was also my first time flying in over 8 years, and i already had a fear of planes prior to it, so all in all it didn't help)

I was flying Toronto to Orlando and the flight was delayed 3 times and we were all waiting in the aircraft for 5 and a half hrs

I flew flair and my friend had a Vancouver Canucks hockey stick. It was signed by the whole team, and when he flew back home in Canada, the flair lost it.

For my first plain ride to Cuba from Waterloo airport with sun wing competitor to flair it was really good smooth and great service ❤❤❤

Try Southwest next and let’s see if your flight really does get canceled😂. Also, when we were returning back from a cruise, Our flight was literally delayed by 16 hours after boarding for 3 hours already, and 16 hrs later, they said we were delayed another 4 hours.

Today I flew from Toronto to Edmonton and the flight was delayed for 1 hour after take-off there was announced that the flight had lost its signal it was so horrible experience there

the vilnius airport in lithuanina usually has a 25-1hr delay with my experience.

As a Brit, I've only flown Flair twice when in Canada, but would not be keen to do so again. On the first, there were no real problems, but the second time, they cancelled my flight without telling me (no email, no call, nothing). I only found out when I went onto the app and could no longer find my flight, and it didn't show up on a general flight search. There was a new one that left about 20 minutes later, but it conveniently cost $200 more than the original and was empty (bear in mind it was only from Vancouver to Calgary, so less than an hour in the hour). They did switch me for free over after I complained, but there was no reason for there not to be a courtesy email.

i had a similar experience with american airlines during a domestic flight. our flight was delayed 7 hours, with 3 of those hours spent inside a tiny erj-145 listening to the pilot giving us reasons why we weren't taking off including a mix of bad weather, traffic and fuel (?) eventually everyone was taken off the plane (apparently we weren't allowed to be kept on the plane for more than 3 hours), only to spend another 3 hours in what felt like the coldest place in the airport 😭 staff was so unhelpful, with all their responses being "we don't know" to every question someone asked. when we finally boarded the plane again (midnight by now), the plane spent yet another hour on the runway. at that point i was just beyond exhausted (that was my 3rd flight of the day, following a great experience on AA International). funnily enough, my 1st flight on my journey back home (also domestic) was delayed meaning id miss my connection. the contrast between domestic and international flights was mad!

I have never been on a Flair Airline but because I'm trying to fly to Vancouver, BC, Canada for the 111th Grey Cup (Canadian Football League), Flair Airlines was the cheapest option to fly from Calgary to Vancouver. I'll give it a shot and see how Flair Air works for me in the Westside of Canada. I leave on November 11th - 20th 2024. Grey Cup Final is on November 17th while the city is trying to figure out what to do for the Grey Cup Festival (should be announced later in Fall 2024)

I was flying on Wizzair and the flight was delayed till the next day and they're a budget airline and they still gave a free 4 star hotel

As a Canadian I am not proud with Flair, and I will probably never use it.

Absolutely correct, I flew with Flair yesterday (March-20th) and they give me the same reason of Aircraft maintenance and it is the WORST airlines.

I would recommend to fly swoop, I had many experiences with swoop and in my opinion its not that bad. If you’re lucky enough you can get a voucher

I took flair from Toronto to Montreal after six flight got delayed trying to get it to Montreal with Delta and honestly I love flair a lot I mean I’ve only flown at once but it was not bad at all like I really liked it

This is exact like my frontier flight but we got cancelled and couldn’t book another flight till 2 days later or get a refund I was flying to Atl from Tpa and we was suppose to board at 8:30 we didn’t we was suppose to leave by 9 we didn’t even know they kept saying we’re gonna board soon after a while all the flight attendants got off but they said they got off bc it was cold on the plane but we sat there for like 2 whole hours for it to be cancelled and alot of people were mad

Just rode in spirit yesterday and not that bad they gave me a free burger for my bday also landed in Vegas and yea everything went perfectly

i took it a year ago to las vagas and there was an 8 hour delay there and they about to cancel too, but on the way back we had to wait for around 14 hours! later we got on the plane, a bathroom wasnt working, same with the air conditioning and as we were taking off the plane broke! we had too wait for 4 day for the next flight home but at the time we were moving and we had to return a moving truck but we weren’t fully done so we had to get home immediately. They got a new flight for us but still sucked. when we had to leave and all the hotel s were fully booked so we had to sleep on the floor until they booked us an ok hotel.

6:06 well ACTUALLY, the airline is supposed to have another aircraft in case the first one needs maintenance, so, it’s not the real reason of the delay

My cousins flew with Flair a while ago. They said it was uncomfortable, but overall alright for the price

I had the same with wizz air when flying to Vienna I was stuck at Gatwick for 17 hours and yet a month later they still didn’t refund us. We got meal vouchers but by that time it was 12:30 am and all the shops where closed.

Bro I live in Canada and have been on flair and it was awesome nice clean seats and good landings except for this one time when we hit the plane tip on the runway but it was fine

i had to wait on the airport to Boston to Orlando, I had to wait until 7:00pm, it got delayed to 11:00pm

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe all airlines cannot check in flights on a separate reservation if it departs on a different airport.

My guy you can charge them 500$ for delaying your flight more than 9 hours. You can claim this within one year of the cancellation.

Been flying them the last couple years as my main. Had one 2 hour delay. That’s it. Between 2022 and now though, they’ve upgraded a lot.
