Budget airlines usually do flights in the early morning or very late evening because gate fees are cheaper I think. Also I'm flying with Ryanair tomorrow, and last time we flew with them, the flight was delayed for 10 hours... we were stuck at the airport for 10 hours... 😭

Hi Eric, I see that you were concerned about flying on the 737 MAX type. Something you should know is that after an aircraft is grounded, they undergo extreme scrutiny to ensure they are safe to fly passengers when they return to service. Therefore, the MAX is one of the safer aircraft you can fly on today. Most low-cost carriers have purchased the MAX because of its incredible fuel efficiency, and the deals they can make with Boeing. You see, during the groundings, a lot of airlines had to cancel their orders for planes that were already built, that means Boeing had to get rid of these planes and the only way is to sell them cheap. Swoop was able to take advantage of a similar situation with theirs. The Swoop MAXes were purchased "second-hand" (practically new) from Norwegian Airlines. Norwegian speced these planes without wifi or seatback power, which explains why the seats are so different from the -800s Swoop has. The product on the -800 is more Swoop's product, a direct copy of WestJet's old economy, but in a higher density configuration.

As someone who has flown with Swoop I can say that other than the Ryanair landings it had,it was really good

2 days ago I flew home with swoop it’s good, I also got in the cockpit. The pilot was really nice to. It was not delayed, you can also pick where you want to sit like Ille,middle and window the plane was also not dirty the landing was not good and not bad

from personal experience, Swoop was on time for both flights, service was good and the cabin was clean. i got to fly on both models in their fleet, too. 10/10 experience in my opinion (my flight was from Hamilton to Halifax if you were wondering)

Before I became a pilot for spirit, I flew United as a teen. One year we were boarding for a flight to California. When we got on my younger sister took off her mask to take a drink, as soon as she took it off a rude flight attendant told her rudely to put her mask up after that he told something to the flight crew and kicked us off the airplane.

We flew to Florida on Swoop out of Hamilton last year with zero issues at all. Definitely worth the cost savings!

I really miss the Swoop YXX to YHM route, great for getting between the Fraser Valley and the Golden Horseshoe while avoiding the chaos of YVR and YYZ. RIP Swoop.

Oh, it's not just Canada. Believe me, I'm in Australia (Victoria) and if I wanted to fly to America there are legitimately flights at 3:25 am. Most are at 6:30 am, but there are some afternoon and evening flights too.

Those seats on the second flight are actually the seats that WestJet uses which makes sense. The seats are actually pretty comfortable which is probably what he thought too

The reason why the flights are so early is because early in the morning and late at night the fees on the airports arent as high

The reason why budget airlines fights fly early in the morning/ late evening is because of the cost of landing and takeoff. The airports surcharge for takeoff and landing during prine hours. Usually, major airlines are able to buy these takeoff and landings times due to financial reasonings.

1:44 It’s because it’s cheaper to make flights really early then to make them like for example at a reasonable time like 4:00 PM, this is because probably there is more airlines that want to have their flights in the afternoon then in the early morning

I was gonna fly on a Swoop from San Diego to Edmonton but it got cancelled due to Covid and the border closing.

Just to inform everyone that in this video, Swoop had their own website but not anymore since they merged with WestJet near the End of October 2023 So now, booking a Swoop Airline is now on WestJets website. Departing Locations: - Abbotsford, BC - Toronto, Ontario - Hamilton, Ontario - Vancouver, BC It can also take you to Calgary & Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I know that because I was on a Swoop on November 23rd 2023 flying back to Calgary, Alberta from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 (my First Time on a Swoop Airline) the seats were comfy on the whole flight, the only issue I've dealt with was that someone passed out on the floor and Flight Attendance had to ask if there were Doctors on board, luckily there was 1 Doctor, 2 Nurses and the passenger who passed out was also okay 👍 and we made it back to Calgary Safely (I don't have an answer on what cost the 1 passenger to pass out) On the outside, it will say Swoop but the inside will say WestJet

I flew Swoop and It was not bad besides my bad being not at baggage claim but I got help and it was just at the oversized baggage claim and the Staff was so nice

It is not about Max aircrafts, it depends on the airline. Their 738s are ex WestJet aircrafts but their Maxs are brand new.

I once flew swoop from Abbotsford BC to Edmonton AB for $11.

Swoop’s MAXs don’t have some features that are on the -800s because the MAXs are not owned by Swoop. They’re leased, which means they’re owned by the leasing company instead of Swoop, whereas the -800s came from and are wholly owned by WestJet, which means they can do whatever they want with them.

bro same here sometimes i gotta go to the airport before the sunrises like on rare occasions tha flight is leaving at such atime that we gotta leave 0800 so that we have atleast 30-15 mins befor our flight when we reach our gate biut most of the time i gotta wake up 0500 so that i can catch my flight
