Put amp draw on your osd and fly at the speed where your amp draw is the lowest for max distance out of your li-ion

great stuff, not just the 8km the whole vid rocked. flyin out to see is just horrifying, the wind over the sea is always faster, and the lack of visual input for direction must have been mesmerizing. its good to have a co-pilot just calmly reading your stats out loud, cause you kinda have to just fly the telemetry, great job. best i've done is a half mile with a 5 inch and i swear i drew blood on the sticks. youre ready for the mountains.

Static was always somewhat present but one great advantage i noticed as someone who flies only DJI is that your OSD info wasn't ever covered up by the break-up. In theory you could fly it back blind. I cant really say thats possible with analog or DJI without taking a risk of using autonomous flight. Correct me if I'm wrong

Bro you are killing it every video. This was pretty epic. You have that 7" flying really good now. I looked up the battery cells in that pack and the "discharge cut off voltage" is 2.5V. So you still had a bit of juice in the tank, despite the wind (you landed at 3.56V) PS - the cells "nominal voltage" is listed at 3.6V.

Yo my homie, first congrats, epic (long) flight! However you gotta add a couple OSD elements: ‘Amp Draw’ & ‘mAh Used’. Throttle position and mAh/km are also nice… but the other two are almost mandatory for long-range with Li-ion packs! Anyway nice video, great family fun, two enthusiast thumbs up! Cheers!

Hey dude! Awesome content, this kind of gives us long range newbies the courage to keep pushing! I also had a question, should I put 4 patch antennas on my dji v2 goggles for lo ger range? I see you wear only patches, but i have no clue if that will work with the dji system. I currently have Lumenier AXII HD 2 Patch Visor, and it works great, but just wondering if 2 more patches is the way to go. Thanks bro!

honestly in fpv you get what you pay for and going budget is only going to cost you alot more money and frustration in the long run, there are def ways to save money but i cant recommend using cheap parts, a good way to get flying fast is to just get a bind and fly micro or whoop and then build a nice 5" once your comfortable flying.

Top tip for landing on sand, disarm and drop from a height, you don't want to come down near the sand with props spinning, this blows the sand up and it is cycled round up and over you quad and in to your motors and everything. The height you need to disarm at will depend on prop size and weight of quad, I just disarm at about 5 feet high with my 5 inch, it just lands flat on the sand an doesn't get in the motors. If you use a high camera angle you can switch to angle mode to get it flat and level then disarm.

HDZero for the win. I'm very happy with it. I also have two flights on a 7" Walksnail quad. It made it to 500 meters and then just dropped the video link in clear line of sight without warning. Can't trust that system and gps on walksnail is a must, because you never know when GPS-Rescue has to save your ass. Problem is, Walksnail kills GPS reception, so you also have to work around that as well. HDZero s'been solid so far.
