📜 Video Description 📜
Getting maximum value with your big hands is an important skill to master if you want to increase your win-rate an move up in stakes at cash game poker. In this video I flop a straight flush and try to interpet the range of recreational player in the big blind to decide whether to slowplay or fastplay my hand.

With the AQ hand at the end I think your first assumption and in-game response were spot on. Pool is literally almost never bluffing this node multi-way for 3x it’s just way too easy for them to get called by one of you, especially for that sizing. Pool is also apparently lacking the required amount of brain cells to appreciate the creative humor you put in to your intros because they’re great, please keep them coming. Cheers mate 🍻

Great content as always and I love the comment about how the two villains are clearly fish as they are VPIPing 32 and 36 when we have a VPIP of 44

I hit my threshold two years ago in Vegas. I flopped kings full of aces with AK on AKK, got it all in with AQs and they went runner runner royal flush after stacks went in on the flop.

Yeah that's a valid reason to quit poker. After a beat like that, God can't be real. You deserve to win there every time.

I'm on a nearly 200$ downswing on Stars, cuz shit happens. Yesterday I lost AA vs AK (runner runner straight), KK vs AK, QQ vs AK, two or three more hands where I had drawing hand with 47%+ equity, but it simply didn't hit. Also this week I lost a nutflush against a straight flush and of course I managed to loose fullhouse against a straight flush (both of them 3card straight flushes, not 4). Some of those hands were 200bb deep. Twice lost AA against a set on a very dry board. I think I don't need to continue :D

Do you think his stack size had anything to do with how he played the hand? (first hand)

Not sure if I agree with the river raise with AA. Will players on 100NL pay you off enough with Qx? Or are they going to overfold because the line of UTG looks very much like 7x trips? I honestly don't know. If BB's bet size on the river was smaller (e.g. B50 or B33) I think a raise is definitely the highest EV action. BB may think you bluffraise because they look weak and he will often pay you off with Qx or even 9x.

That river suck out hand vs 2 pair brutally happened to me Friday live. Was the biggest pot I've ever played live and got the villan to jam on me with A/10 for 2 pair when I had the straight. They also got a 500$ high hand jackpot for Aces full afterword to add salt to the wound.

I think sizing with AA vs 87h of villain on river would lean me rather towards calling than raising . IF he bet half or less then definitely reraising have sense at least in my mind

12:00 I think you're overestimating the EV of a raise. More often than not, when a fish increases their sizing on a subsequent street, it indicates their hand is gotten stronger (in their head). This means we will see a strong queen or better more often here. Still, raise is probably good, but i would size dowm to x3 or less.

Man I dont know about 2nd handwith aces like at this point(river)you have a bluff catcher and your only really getting called by better unless he is a rec and appart from the fact he called sb vs utg we do not know if he is.the sizing on river looks valueish too close to 80% instead of a normal 75% .I would probably just A.call to gain info on this player or B.close to minraise to put him in a though spot with any queen.

But the guy was to short stacked, why not just calling on the flop? You'd go to the turn with position and spr of only 2
@CarrotCornerPoker
@CarrotCornerPoker 4 месяца назад
My take on it is that most of villain’s range is continuing to a flop raise but is checking on quite a lot of turn cards and folding by the river on quite a few run outs. SPR is just one factor.

@@jonathanhenderson9422 why wouldnt you just open 2 more regular tables than what you play of rush cash?
@jonathanhenderson9422
@jonathanhenderson9422 4 месяца назад
@@zero_zero107 You can easily play 2-3x more hands at speed poker than regular. Of course you can try to play 2-3x more tables of regular, but that requires table selection to get the best ones. I kind of agree in that I don't see the appeal of speed poker, but then again I think most online poker is a -EV proposition these days between them being infested with regs and bots.

Advising players to raise a fish donking on the flop when you hold the nuts is lighting money on fire. They will donk fold an insane amount and them folding here is criminal
