I would love to see this from a 2v2 perspective, where it's your teammate that's being toxic. I always find that behavior way more distracting and discouraging than when it's an opponent. I can usually write an opponent off as just trying to tilt me or whatever. But when it's a teammate, you know they must be feeling legit rage for some reason.
Sometimes, a teammate who badly helps the team starts with the toxicity. I just start doing nothing at the match or playing as if I was on the opponent team. Why do I do this? toxic players don't deserve to win. Period.
I think it’s different when you’re playing ranked because you progressively get more irritable over the course of you games. Especially if you’re denied that rank up or you drop a rank
when you act toxic you stray away from the main goal of winning the game and staying focused, you instead try to make sure what you do deeply mocks and hurts your opponent in other words you don't wanna win at that point you just try and make a fit because the opponent is too good
Some people spend entirely to much time trying to be toxic. I usually keep my chat on quick chat only when I solo queue so I don't have any distractions. I can sometimes get an easy demo because they are just sitting there typing instead of playing lol.
A lot of the toxic people said they were being distracted by having to think about being toxic. You could test it with that variable removed by having your other guy actually completely manage their chat for them, to let them focus on the game, and see what the effects of toxicity are on the enemy in isolation.
The problem there is that, even when you're being toxic normally, it WILL distract you because you DO have to think about it. It takes up some mental bandwith, so it's realistic to make sure it does here. I'll be the first to say, as someone with a science background, there are plenty of variables that i could've controlled for better, but i wanted to find a good balance of scientific & entertaining. This is a youtube video after all :)
Aye saw you from sunless. Love the psychological side of rocket league!!!Production quality of the whole thing was way above someone of your subscriber count too. Seen a few dozen different rl youtubers and you 100% stand out. Seeing striped was dope! subscribed >:)
As some people said I think this would've been better if you found people who way more used to be toxic (thinking less about what to say, doing way more than quickchat what a save). And also I think this would've been better if an innocent person was alone without being cheered up by someone
I think that because You were in voice call with the innocents It stop them from getting tilted, and if a toxic player actually tilts someone thats how he wins. But I think this was a great experiment and a really nice video. But I only Want to add that when I play with a voice call with my friend I actually more calmed than in game without voice call, so maybe talking to someone can affect how toxic are You or how much You can get tilted
Agreed! like I've said, coming from a science experiment, there were variables I could've controlled for better, but i needed to find a balance between scientific, and entertaining. It is a RU-vid video after all :) also it shows how something simple like someone who's supportive, or the right mindset, can help you deal with toxic players much better :)
What’s up flow, not sure you’ll remember but this is ViperishFlame, we played some games with that funny guy who talked like a grandma. Anyway, crazy to think I was playing with a RL content creator, you got a sub and I look forward to seeing the video you mentioned you are working on.
Just voted for you on sunless' video. You put alot of work into these videos and I appreciate anything that teaches me something, especially about RL! Subbed!
Loved the vid! If I may give some feedback, your face cam angle felt somewhat awkward, can't tell exactly why though. Looking forward to the videos to come!
Hey Flowstate, I found you because of the I believe SunllessKhan's video You caught my attention because I play tennis, I want to be professional but I'm on my way (14 years) Just here to say that :)
