My grandparent's came from hungary with their children to belgium when the russians came. Ive only been in hungary 5 times and i recognized it. The only two i guessed right were hungary and uae 😅
It's not even just the trees and the winter coverage. Whenever the game drops me at a location where everyone and everything looks grey and depressed, but there's no Cyrillic, I know I'm home.
Inhales This smells like southeast Asia, and through the car booth I can see the slightest glimmer of the road... Proceeds to spit out exact coordinates
Tied in the back as the van kept shaking. "You better take the 53, the 12 is congested this time. I don't wanna die in this heat, we'll be reaching 99.1°F in half an hour. Just take the left in 150 meters." Half an hour later he's untied to see the kidnapers in handcuffs.
you could make a movie about that, guy gets kidnapped and from glimpses of the outside pieces together where he is with flashbacks to his training lol (or girl or other gender)
Lmao I'm more surprised at the fact that he was able to guess it off Ludwig's clues although most of them were not great. He couldve said the names of petrol station, words written on trucks, words written on signs, taxi colour etc lmao
You can tell he's super good at this because he's always blaming himself for mistakes, even when he gets it right lol. Super humble, love these collabs.
Plus a good part of teamwork is figuring out how to use what each person brings to the table. Accepting that it's his mistake using the information he sough to get the wrong answers and instead of blaming or demanding better descriptions, he quickly learns the areas Ludwig is better able to describe and does what he can with that, resulting in an incredible performance by the end!
Cooperation can definitely be more fun to watch in a lot of cases. I like the balance. Also, you are an extension user? I am not sure what this feature is for.
Versing each other was like watching Shaquille O'Neill 1v1 a D2 college ball player who is 6'1". Like... one guy is admittedly good at the game, the other is Shaq. We know who wins.
@@jobeedrost Its so ludwig can pre-emptively ban people who leave comments calling him short or say he has acne, cuz he knows the people watch the stream if they have the extension badge. Ludwin would never.
As a Hungarian watching this at 6:50 Trevor: Is it , is like the trees dead? Ludwig: Yeah, it's like the trees are all kinda saad! Trevor: Let's just go Hungary Me: What the fuck, man? Showing that he was correct. Me: LMAO When he says why. Me: Oooh!
I watched the stream and he actually wasn't that bad, the version cut up for youtube has lost some detail. I think he puts on kind of a dumb act to make the video more interesting.
You two need to team more, regardless of content. It’s very fun watching you two and Bolt has a very good “side-kick, yet primary capable” skill set, which is the exact same as Luddy. Great duo!
This fact is so unknown to the masses. After this stream with lud, the amount of support that the GeoGuessr community has received is out of this world.
*spawns on random empty bridge surrounded by trees* Me: "Where tf...." Rainbolt: "I'm so dumb, we're in Malaysia. Should've gotten that sooner" Me: Pfft yea obviously bro. Everyone knows that's Malaysia duh
He's right though, with what Ludwig described him Malaysia should have been an easy guess at his level. He kind of forgot to consider South East Asia at all. I guess it happens. Other than that Rainbolt did very well
well driving left + sun in the south doesn't leave many options. It leaves UK/Ireland/Malta, or south east asia and based on the landscape description, Malaysia was the only possible guess
7:36 that sign can be seen often in Germany, it indicates a zone where it isn’t allowed to take over. There is another version with a red truck and a black car which means that cars are allowed to overtake but trucks aren’t.
"Are the trees dead?" "Hungary" Holy shit this guy is actually crazy Edit; After 6 months, turns out thats some of the least crazy meta shit in this game.
After his explanation this was actually the least impressive guess, imo, since it reflects on meta-knowledge about how Google maps took its photos rather than the actual geographical features of the area.
7:42 That is a sign which implies that you are not allowed to overtake unless you're overtaking vehicular machinery (like agricultural vehicles) and/or mopeds. I'm Swedish and we have it here quite regularly I'd say. I guess it's just an EU thing since our thin, blind and hilly roads are so prevalent. Oh yeah, and to describe what you're seeing on the sign is that the red car implies the incorrect and illegal move as an overtake on the black car. EDIT: PLEASE PEOPLE, WE GET THAT IT EXISTS IN MULTIPLE COUNTRIES, STOP SPAMMING MY INBOX WITH YOUR COUNTRY XD
That’s a really good idea for the sign. In the UK, either you are allowed to overtake or not overtake based on the whether the white line in the middle of the road is solid or broken!
youre insane mate! on the last one as a portuguese it was really fun because about 5 seconds in i said hmmm... alentejo! spot on hahahaha could also be spain tough!
gigachad in Geography tests if he is still a student or take any Geography tests nowadays on his own interest. I don’t know whether he is still a student or not
7:50 The red car and black car sign is "No Overtaking" the red car meaning no vehicles can overtake any other vehicles until there's a sign that says otherwise (At least in Portugal).
@@batfurs3001 All countries that are a part of the Vienna convention on Road Traffic, which is all of Europe, including Russia, have that sign. USA is not a signatory to the Vienna convention.
I'm surprised at how facinating it is to see how they work together to do it blindfolded it's kinda like forcing the super goated geoguessrs to slow down and ask for every detail they subconsciously look for normally
*getting extremely vague hints on a general location while blindfolded* "We're in Malaysia, I Should've gotten that way sooner." Me with eyes - "Definitely Brazil...Oh"
BRO PLEASEEE. IF THEY DONT MAKE A MOVIE/ FILM WITH HIM AND HIS SKILL I WILL LITERALLY CRY. THAT WILL BE THE FUNNIEST ASS FILM TO WATCH I SWEAR! THEY NEED TO MAKE ONE WITH HIM!
I honestly think this is fake. I reckon there is a 3rd guy in the call that Ludwig muted so that he and his chat can't hear him and he's just telling the right answer to the Geoguessr "pro"
@@keepicy5458 I've watched and played a lot of geoguessr and its definitely not fake, there are really obvious distinctions between countries and the questions he's asking specifically narrow it down a ton. He is one of the top 20ish players in the world and has just memorized an insane amount of details.
The sign with the 2 cars in a circle, one red and one black, means that the overtaken is forbidden, because on the road ahead you have straight white uninterrupted line. I think the whole Europe has that !
I am so happy for this man. Started watching so long ago from the smash video and then monkey ball vids. Wa sshitting my pants during the subathon and now hes just got that massive creator confidence in his voice, love it
Awesome stuff, I managed to figure out the majority of them but I certainly needed some of your input and observation. I also thought it was Spain, definitely some more southern Mediterranean area because I recognised the tree. I do believe that's a stone pine or perhaps maaaaaybe an aleppo pine, but yeah, Portugal makes sense, it's basically the same environment.
the black car next to the red car in the white circle with a red border sign is a sign for "no passing". sometimes the red car is a truck, and that means that trucks are not allowed to pass, but regular cars are. that sign is mostly (probably only) used in europe
True. I think it would be more interesting if there was no meta-knowledge about the car colors and time of year the things were taken, but ofc generating Google maps is expensive and the cost do actually change it would far outweigh the minor benefit.
@@HappyBeeGaming a lot of people do play where they blur the car and go purely based off the vibes but when you put so many hours into the game you end up picking up certain countries that have a lot of winter coverage etc, a lot of places have different Google maps coverage from different years so it would be interesting if geoguessr included all of that too, I believe it just uses the most up to date
this was fun watching and i think if you would of mention there was olive trees in the last spot he may have gotten Portugal.. I recognized Alentejo as soon as you showed that location =)
I didn't expect that both of them wouldn't know what a "no overtaking sign" looks like, the one with the red and black cars near each other. It's pretty common in almost all european countries from what I know.
I just got back from having an upper endoscopy and I was put under anesthesia. While under anesthesia, I had a dream where Ludwig, Slime, and Atrioc were all there. I remember nothing else, just that they were there, which is already weird enough because I only watch Ludwig’s content. Great sleep though, 10/10 would try again.
Crazy that you mentioned Blythe, I was driving back to Missouri from LA and my tire treads completely stripped off from the wheel 15 miles from Blythe. Had to sit there in the desert for like 4 hours waiting on AAA and stayed the night in blythe waiting for the tire shop to open.
For a second I thought this meant Ludwig would be a highly skilled maps player if he simply knew the answers to questions he asked, but he's also getting questions from rainbolt.
Now that Ludwig has done this with two different Geoguessr players...the next evolution would be a Bro vs Bro Blindfolded where it's like Ludwig leading a blind Rainbolt vs NorthernLion (or any bro that is decent at GG) leading a blind Geowizard Edit: I guess the bro doesn't actually have to be good at Geoguessr since the blindfolded pro would be asking descriptive questions. It just requires having words like arid in your vocabulary to be able to describe the scene well.
"I'm so dumb, we're in Malaysia" -Rainbolt, the guy who can perfectly be the leader of CIA and can say that we're in southwest Romania just by looking to a cloud.
Goddamn any guess he gets is insane and he’s doing it BLIND? I can’t even figure it out by moving and looking, I wish I was this good lol. Great Collab! I love when you play Geoguessr
I feel like this needs to be done again, only with nature poets instead of Ludwig. 1:50 rounds, the poets go off for 30s and then rainbolt asks them questions, and they reply poetically. The point is to test the poets, of course. We can already see rainbolt is a genius.
The sign with the cars he mentioned around minute 8 means (gonna butcher the explanation cause idk the English terms) that overtaking(going on the opposite sense to pass the car in front of you) isn't allowed. There's also a dashed variation which means that the sign isn't active anymore. Or their meaning could be swapped, cause I always forget which is which
you were right the first time, basically means overtaking forbidden, and the one that's cut means overtaking permitted(which really is a bitch to figure out when taking the theoretical driving test)
In spain we do have the red/black cars in a circle, If the 2 cars are black it means that you can avance people in that road If one car is red it means that you cant
