Nah but wtf XD The estonia guess was crazy. I am from Latvia, i have visited my baltic neighbors. Unless he can tell apart the languages somehow i have no clue how he guessed that. The region is similar in both culture and terrain. I mean a lucky guess myb 1/3 chance if he was sure its baltics.
@@marusis4453 I would've guessed Latvia off of that frame probably just because it's in the middle lol. Those bus stops really are a dead giveaway of the baltics
@@brendanmystery they do in south korea, but there the stripes don't go all the way to the bottom. meanwhile japan does have those stripes but horizontally.
It was done by a french youtuber "Amixem", the players are blindfolded during a 2 hours flight + 1 hour car drive from the center of France to an unknown location. They can't speak to people, or enter in a shop and other rules... It's very interesting but only in french sorry :/
Genuinely hate watching people play and they don’t explain any reasoning and just say “Oh we’re definitely in southern Taiwan” or something. So much more interesting to hear explanations of how they know
@@erastal im not saying its bad, im saying most viewers wont catch the knowledge he gives out. i agree that its really helpful to explain the reasoning instead of just clicking without any explanation. also more entertaining that way
Man, not only is Trevor an actual wizard when it comes to recognizing regional quirks and knowing his location, but he's also a super-charismatic winner. Never gloating, always complimenting his competition, pointing out what they did right rather than what they did wrong. What a truly great dude. It's so awesome of him to give a small channel like Ludwig's this exposure by streaming with him.
The most impressive thing is how much proof he's given that it's absolutely undeniable. I think most people would guess there's a trick. Nope, he's just super intelligent and took a lot of time to learn specific things about each country. Honestly, even if you gave me a packet of these unique facts (light pole type, road line type, bollard type per country), zero chance I could memorize them well enough to be able to pull it from my memory at will.
@Joseph Hard to say as most of the very best players are bored by comp and don't really play it much. RC and zi8gzag are two of the best players I know who are also content creators. Rainbolt is like top 100 player maybe but it gets pretty exponential at the top, I've beaten him few times and nothing he does is anything that impressive. Just memorising shit. Other people memorise shit better because they've been at it longer than a year and are equally obsessive.
@@alcabone1126 It's not that it's impressive that he knows what Sri Lankan poles look like but that he knows many different countries poles and can differentiate them quickly
@@thesugareater8607 yea it isn't necessarily that he can recognize one pole, it's that he knows ALL signs for where he is in the world from any of his surroundings. He sees flowers, he knows NZ, he sees a pole and he knows is Sri Lanka, etf. The combined knowledge is wildly impressive
Same, I thought it was like a predetermined thing, just for a joke. Like those 1v1 things the Geowizard does, but he already saw the video and knew the answers, or something like that
Seeing him in action is crazy. I was so sure his tiktoks were fake, and they might still be staged just to get it in one take, but his talent is the real deal
My favourite part of the stream was when they were teaming up together to kind of "blindfold" guess the location, to explain: Ludwig played A Diverse World, no move, and Rainbolt would ask questions about the location, such as trees, roads, signs etc. then eventually guess with the given info. I played this with my girlfriend who doesn't know too much about geography and it was a blast! Very good idea, it's a shame it wasn't in this video, probably could've made it into it's own video imo.
Jesus christ he sounds like such a good sport and so nice. like Ludwigs like "oh you know I used chat and I had 2 gimme rounds" but rainbolt's still like "hey, you know a wins a win man"
You ever get that question such as, “If you were blindfolded and dropped off somewhere randomly in the world, who would you chose to be with you?” Yea, I think I have my answer now.
i love trevor so much, he was just so nice and it's really sick to see someone put so much time & effort into an interest and become this insanely good at it.
Trevor is my new favorite superhero. He's be super useful for detective work, finding missing persons or kidnappings or something. Straight up unique talent.
Seriously!! He should be training our military, police, search and rescue. drone operators, etc. He mentioned leaving school, tbh this guy has a whole wealth of insane talent and potential. Impressive
There's a part that was cut out where Trevor said that he dropped out of college a year ago with a bit of shame in his voice. And instead of dwelling on that, Lud turns it around and compliments his insane skills learned within the span of a year. Idk if he meant to do that but it really shows high EQ
Hey he dropped out to do something he enjoys and he is probably making a moderate living out of it. I have mixed feeling because maybe if he ends up being successful for each successful person there are hundreds who just regret it in the long run. But this guy seems very smart no matter what hell make it in life just fine.
That is GOATed, I can confirm flowers as a good indicator. I live in Australia and yeah, they look the same, but if you see a flower it's New Zealand. We rarely have wild flowers in Australia.
Ludwig will always be the most entertaining geoguessur to watch. "The trees look Polish" always slays me. It just gets funnier when Rainbolt used it in reverse on him. 🤣
You joke, but in Australia a consistent way to tell which state you are in is what wood or metal the poles are made of. Trever definitely knows his Stobies from his Oppenheimers.
I bet learning some botany might give you an edge in this game. I suck at the human element but i can judge the general area due to the plants, especially if I spot a specific species I know.
The flora can be useful but for the most part there are way more obvious clues. The main uses of trees is that you can tell your climate using them and that in certain countries like hungary and Bulgaria there is winter coverage so trees will often have no leaves on them. Other than that language, bollards, car meta, street signs, license plates, camera generation and road lines are much more important clues to know. Then there are some random clues that come up in random countries e.g. in Albania and Montenegro there are often 'rifts' in the sky, in certain African countries there are 'follow cars' and Japan and Switzerland have 'low cam'. Honestly there is so much more to know that I haven't mentioned. There is a website with tons of information on it and also RU-vidrs like geopeter give some great tips.
I haven’t even watched the video but by scientific analysis, and the way lud’s objects are framed behind him, the shadow of his personal being personally shows that he is living in a household where he is actually in fact the shortest member of said household.
Great stream too. I hope there's a part 2 with Lud rolling his eyes out of his head and saying "WAS IT AN *IRISH COWWW*????" And the part where Trevor was playing "Guy in the Chair" and coaching Lud through everything looked awesome, but I didn't catch it, I hope it makes a legit VOD.
im gonna be completely honest ive seen this guys tiktoks a few times and was like 90% sure that even if he wasnt completely cheating he knew of whereabouts it would place him beforehand because i literally just couldnt believe that he was able to deduct where he was on a worldwide scale by the fences and flowers... its actually mind boggling how good this guy is at geoguessr
i love how in his previous vid he's so adamant about playing with this guy and his next next vid is him achieving that goal straight away edit: I would say thankyou for the likes but I genuinely don't give a fuck about any of you lmao
@@tianneyung9838 he is literally always out of ideas. He always says it too. He comes up with ideas by looking at his past videos and what did well. 😂 He is a “personality” creator though so it doesn’t matter to an extent. People watch him for him and his humor, not for geoguesser content or anything (most people).
12:35 Ludwig: "Curse you Sri Lanka" Sri Lanka Government/China/World: *Say less...* (60% Inflation per week, x3 Debt compared to GDP, No natural resource "Import dependency")
My favorite thing about Trevor is how humble he is. He's not like a lot of gamers where it's like "IM A GOD GAMER IM A GOAT" he's just jokingly understating his skill and seems chill as fuck. I wish more people could present like this dude.
