Amazing Explore deep sorry for my audio problem, and a shake from my damaged camera stabiliser. so this house as been stood still since the mid 80s nearly 40 years abandoned, the place felt creepy and always felt like something watching us, and amazed that the power will still working.

These people loved their home. Someone obviously became overwhelmed with trying to pack things up and gave up. They probably intended to come back, but time passed and lives were busy and families grew so the past kept being pushed further into the past. The real shame is that the house will decay beyond repair and be lost forever. Thank you for the tour!

Exactly, very perceptive@kristine guetschow it's apparent family had a difficult time with decision making, too overwhelming final decisions are extremely difficult especially when it comes in a huge amount of property as this was. Closing the door is easiest. Sad.

You assume a family is left?? Might be in other countries!! Lots of times children don't want the family home once their married and gone!! Saw a farm all equipment ready to roll, his wife died in a nursing home, his children long gone! He is on his end years in a nursing home...now it rots!! no one wants it, won't even sell it!!

Years and years of accumulation -- and fairly humble belongings here that the owners just hung onto -- for sentimental reasons or a desire to not be wasteful -- and then old age made it overwhelming to pare down and clean up. Same with my parents' home. (That we are now trying to clear out before our mom follows our dad in death)

You did a terrific job opening the past up for an audience that otherwise would have missed out on the poignant shadows that shaped the mother's life! I really can't tell you how much I esteem you you for your gentle inquisitiveness. There's really nothing intrusive in what my you did, it was so respectful and your empathy for the loved ones who lived there, and what they left behind was truly touching. Tremendous delivery, you've nothing to be ashamed of at ALL! Very, very well done. Careful attention to so much detail, it would have been impossible to collect all of it considering the circumstances. Loved the barn owl, and the pot in the bedroom is a chamber pot. (I don't mean to come off as a know-it-all it's just that I grew up in a house with 17 bookcases, my dad got his Doctorate in Philology from Harvard {love of words}, he taught Latin & Greek for 40 years at a Franciscan University, same one I went to, my mom was born in 1909 and all my life AND hers I picked her brain for any and all info on her family background) the picture in front of the barn owl dates from around 1910, so does the wheelchair, it's a good chance the owl may have flown into a window and was stunned or may even been a family pet, lots of folks kept owls as pets, (they twist when you put on music--see "Owl Cafe In Japan" video on RU-vid it's hysterical. Once again, it's always a pleasure following you, and listening to your repartee, you really do a fine job with descriptions, and I'm as in love with rich or ornate architecture as you are, and I will never ever afford it either! God bless and I'm onto another of your tours! See you there! 🙏 💖 🙋 p.s.: My dad back in the day used to have Twinings Tea imported into the only store in this one horse town I come from, and we'd all enjoy the different varieties: Earl Grey, Russian Caravan, English Breakfast, Lapsang Suchong all of them. And at Christmas he'd order Allsorts and Plum Puddings but for the life of me I can't recall the brand of pudding...now that's going to drive me nuts all night! 😂

I rather enjoyed this voice-over! You were calm and matter of fact, no cursing, and so professional. The round wooden wall hanging that shows weather changes is a barometer. Well-done videography showing the amount of decay. I agree that these abandoned homes give off a sad feel. Don’t apologize- your comments were interesting and I love when you admit you don’t know what something is. BTW, the bedside pots are called chamber pots.

@lottatroublemaker6130

Reese Daniel - a bed pan and a chamber pot are two different things. A bed pan you lie in bed and do your business, e.g. after surgery. A chamber pot you go on in the bedroom (sitting on the floor) during the night, so you don’t have to go to the outhouse or loo in the cold, dark basement. Just sayin’... 🤗

Love the house it's a big sad ending the the family the daughter still has not found the strength to go back to the house and made the house weatherproof or found the strength to put all them Amazing vintage antiques to use or rehomed some so they can live on with someone who will love and cherish them for years to come if you are reading this im sorry for your loss and hope now this "urbex explore" not a criminal they all have a truths that what they find in abandoned places they leave empty handed and leave it how they find it but please find the strength to get some things out before it's all gone being this man found it it's a matter of time things will go missing and we all dont want that to happen.

To see it deteriorate, well, everything goes the way of time eventually, even us. The thing is to do it with grace. You're right, it is a shame to see so much go unsalvaged, when with a theatre aficionado's eye I could see oodles of historical items that, had the family member addressed these in due time, could have either made an Endowment to the Arts and in so doing become a docent, or at least retrieved it for the sake of either posterity in a historical society or museum, or as a last resort sold it. But then for some grief can be paralyzing. I know after my own mother's death I was so at sea, a true orphan in a storm. She'd lived to be 97, and we'd spent the last seven and a half years of her life together. She said once She was afraid She was holding me back, and I asked her from what. She wasn't sure, she just felt She was a burden. I told her, "Oh mom, you have no idea how all my entire life, all I ever wanted was to live like this with you." Her reaction was one of astonishment, and she asked Really? She was unprepared for my answer...I told her that ever since I was a little child, all Is ever wanted was to live on our own, just the two of us, her and me. Lose the guys, all of them, all I wanted was to be with her. OShe was a tiny little bird-like thing whom I just loved so very much, and even though we'd had a "heads up" that her time was at hand, it was still uncompromisingly arduous to endure. It took the better part of a decade to climb out of that loss as after her, I had no one, and hadn't lived on my own for years. But it's been 12 years and I've adjusted, and wouldn't have it any other way anymore. God bless! 🙏 💝 🙋

This video really brought a lot of emotional feelings especially when you spoke of the owner being tearful of her mother passing, because I lost my mom 12 yrs ago and still have some personal memories I kept. Seeing the things just laying rotting away made me think of the day I pass since I have no close family left my things will just be scattered to the winds or threw in the trash bins which is why I've started giving and getting rid of a lot of things myself at my age i realize that material things are not that important though I do enjoy treasures, I'd rather do things myself than to have strangers go through and riddle what's precious to me. Great vid friend so enjoyed it and as always the music you chose just brought it all togeather...Prayers for your nieces healing...God Bless👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I loved the voice over because it seems when your filming with other people all we hear is them laughing and making so much noise their not giving these places the respect that you give they just go through and make so much noise and handle things roughly when these belongings belong to the people who once lived there they should treat these homes as if their parents or Grandparents once lived there so I appreciate the voice over when you are with other people and thank you for showing care and respect to the places you visit and film at I love your videos

The voice over was a good idea especially when exploring with other people in a smaller place. Be safe. Much love to you and your family.

Great voice over, and what an amazing find . So sad that these homes are just left surely they can’t all have no family. It should be that if there are no family then the contents be donated for the homeless. The government is quick to claim any money that’s left unclaimed they should sell the homes off and they money go to putting a roof over some homeless people. Can’t wait for more videos. Love and healing to Holly. Stay safe 🙏🏻

I agree with you heartily, there should be a time frame wherein if no immediate family can be located locally, a bulletin is published on a specific social media site dedicated to announcing death/bequeathments. Then after a certain length of time, which would have to be litigated according to Vital Records Statistics, the contents are collected, sorted and disbursed, and the property falls to the ownership of the state. At this point, the state would be obliged to assess the property, determine a price for total restoration and conversion for apartments for the destitute, or if the property is too far past code to merit being restored, then have it pulled down, the land sold off and all proceeds going to elinlminate any residual legal fees before giving the balance to the local shelter. Goid idea, Wendy! 🙏💖🙋

I don't understand how/why so many of these properties just lay abandoned. Someone must have owned them? Are they all older people who die without family? It makes no sense, most of these properties could be nice, and have inherent value, yet seemingly no-one owns them and they just deteriorate.
