i wouldnt even think of clipping in with an elevator like this, usually they bounce back up - how does it work? were you on the edge of the elevator and not touching the "bounce back trigger"? also i instantly gave the vid a like the moment i saw that crazy seamshot into skip a portion of the level trick, nice!
I don't actually know. No other elevator I have tried does this. They all can detect you and bounce back except this one. This elevator also has some weird physics if you try to walk off of it, I don't know if that is related but its why I was messing around with it in the first place.
it didn't go back for me, I instantly got pushed trough the floor in my first playtrough since I expected it to kill me instead of pushing you into the ground
yo wtf thats not how clipping in portal/hl2 works but it just does anyway. the placing the portal to clip under the lift is intended FCPS clipping as the corner of your hitbox is inbounds, and placing the portal there makes the game teleport you inbounds
you can also just stand under the platform and crouch, that's how I did it in my first playtrough (I tried getting out of the softlock by crouching, but it ended up pushing me into the floor
