I'm going to be the nerd here, apologies in advance. Its not a "low pressure zone" there's very little pressure in a river. It's a "high friction zone", where the water has to work really hard to flow over the bedrock.

Not pressure as in PSI but pressure as in the force of water (a moving object with lots of mass) it has a tremendous force. A crack in bed rock has very limited flow velocity, hence not enough force to push or wash the gold out. Friction is the force it takes to break something free from where it stand.

I've heard this be called low pressure zones by many prospectors and always understood friction as heat energy generated by the rubbing of surfaces of two solid objects 🤷‍♂️

I got hooked on the idea of metal detecting after reading some good history of Van Isl. I never thought there was much gold on this rock, but now I'd consider panning my gravel driveway for gold. I've got a Gold Monster on the way and an entire Google Earth map dedicated to planned excursions. These videos are great inspiration.

I have the same reaction, however I am in Central Kansas. All we have here is sand and clay. So I'm basically Mudlarking. I find a lot of bottles, and sometimes some Native Artifacts.

You know....this last week, I panned through a bucket of dirt from a friend's house...she lives in the flood plain of a creek well known for gold, and was replacing a septic tank. Asked for a bucket from the very bottom. Now, Pauly, you and Dan need to know that this is All Your Fault. I like to pan whether I find anything or not, but this time.... I GOT GOLD!! Probably looked a bit like you in this video, but hey. Very first time!! Maybe a half dozen flypoop and a couple teeny flakes, but GOLD! I've been watching a few videos of gold prospecting in Western Australia because im from Western Australia and would like to try it, but honestly, even though you guys find like a tiny fraction of the amount of gold found in Western Australia id much prefer to go gold panning in Canada!! Hey Pauly the lead is from the water pipeline that is used to seal the concrete sections. Probably why it was replaced.

The audio of the voice seems to have a bit too much deep end. Too much low frequencies. I can do it for free if u want, or teach you some ways of mixing audio
