Here is the truth, Stereo headsets give way better special awareness then 7.1 with also having a better clarity of sound. The Corsair HS80 Max ain't going to come even close to Bayer Dynamic DT 700 Pro X and let's not even talk about Sennheiser HD 800S. Then there is repairability aspect of it which DT 700 Pro X and other Bayer Dynamic headphones are known about, they are build to last, very long time, hance the ability to replace anything on them and that makes them incredible value for money which Corsair will never match.

@@FearlessTruth1911really that’s your comparison? Beyer’s? For one you are comparing wired to wireless so that’s pointless and two the hd800s? You are comparing something over 1k to average headsets? The soundstage on the 800s is just too wide for gaming. And it has a nasty treble peak too.

I’ve had the original HS80s (without the Max - no Bluetooth connectivity) for about 4 years now and still as good as the day I got them. I only play with them on console and agree it is a shame that it doesn’t carry over any PC settings to the console, but the surround sound is still incredible. For info, one of the ear pads did split after about 18 months (due to a glue failure) but Corsair replaced free of charge as was within 2 year warranty period. Great review!

I like the way you go into depth on the headset but can you go more detail specifically what your personal eq settings are.

thank GOD for ur video i have been searching for AGES for a review on these but they were all 2 years ago cos obvs they're pretty old but so many new ones are such trash so i wont overlook a headset just cos its old - thank you for your review i will purchase it to replace my razer blackshark v2pro 2023 cos that sound quality on that is absolutely disgusting :(

If they fixed the battery being absolute dogshit, not in time played, but time lasted, then this could be good. But having headsets like the HS70 and Void known to have failed batteries after just two years without RMA and being a 20 buck fix off eBay is fucking disgusting.

Get a EPOS Sennheiser if you can still find the GSP670 for around 170AUD. Blew my HS70 out of the damn water on sound and the battery still works.

this is one of the worst headsets i've ever used. peoples voice is good but there is basically no bass and it's very very washed out sound. definetly not worth the 250 cad price trag. pick of some razer nari or some sennheisers
